This happened to me about 6 months ago... totally depressing. I just posted this in another thread, but I have gained 7 lbs in the past few weeks (YIKES!!) and now I look TOTALLY pregnant. I can't wait for cooler weather so I can hide in a big sweatshirt!!!

First of all, who are these people that just randomly ask people if they're pregnant? I don't get that. How rude! I'm right there with all of you... last week IN CLASS my pilates instructor asked me if I was pregnant. Lovely. Talk about feeling self-conscious the rest of class. I weighed myself and I've only gained about 2 lbs but I guess that's enough to look pregnant. Thank you lovely boy diet. I can't wait to eat "normally" again.... or just have a real baby bump :)

OMG Jane, I just snarfed my drink all over my desk....I've been looking online to find out where I can buy an old-school CORSET to wear under my formal dresses for events coming up soon!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spanx aren't cuttin' the mustard anymore.

I think it's a kind of back handed complement - if you weren't so slim in the first place then nobody would suspect. I don't get asked because I'm always on the heavy side but it's unusual for you! Not that I'm saying you're on the heavy side - I hope you get what I mean :D

THANKS!!! hah just kidding. yorue right. i had JUST lost about 20-25 pounds and the suddenly gained it back over a short period of time. thats what i have been explaiining to ppl. i tell them im on this new muscle building diet where you eat lots of protein/good fats/healthy food all day long and keep BS levels high for 3 mos and weight train big time, then after 3 mos you wean the foods and calories and start cardio aand this way youll still have msucle and will guarantee the weight to STAY off.

this "lie" has worked so far! HAHAHHAHA! at least its just family that has asked me and they asked in a nice way. lbe mortified when the public start asking. or ill just say YES i AM pregnant

At this point, I just tell people I'm on a "fertility diet" that includes more calories than I'm used to. Most people I know IRL know I've been ttc a while now and about the m/c. More than I care to know, actually. I get lots of pity that I don't really need.
