So pleased you've popped over! I'm eightlilpigs on IG and was going to see if you'd pop over, as your observations on the sperm in your job was really interesting!! If/when you get a minute I'd be fascinated to read if you had any suggestions on what may help swayers!!
Best of luck on your pink journey xxxx

Hi,
I have seen some of your post over on IG and I was hoping to ask you a few questions.
I noticed that you said from your experience working in the field that it had more to do with changing DH, not us.
I assume from that you mean that DH should be changing his diet etc.
I would love to hear back from you with more detail on this, I am ttc soon and seem to keep changing my mind on whether I am going to sway or just go with the pure luck of the 50/50 each time attitude, it is so hard to know what to do.
Nice to see you here :)

It is really interesting what I have observed with the sperm xxxIf you get time then a whole post would be fantastic!! The best thing with this site is that all new ideas are being brought up and learnt about, rather than just being shot down on mention, so anything you can share will be taken and hopefully researched extra on by a team of hungry swayers lol :agree:

I have a q so when/if you have time to answer:
I'm always spotting 4-5 days before my period but last cycle and this one I've started spotting 3dpo and my last period lasted for 7 days. What could it be? I will schedule appointment at my ob/gyn for next week if possible :(
Oh, I'll be 39 in October.

Basically from your experience if you were going to do a natural sway for a girl, what would you really focus on and do?
Sorry huge question I know.

Oh, I'll be 39 in October.
How long have you had this? It is quite possible spotting can be the result of a hormonal imbalance. For instance, your body may be producing too much estrogen or not enough progesterone, a thyroid problem or from taking certain medications. Your age at 39 years is nothing really to be concerned about, although our cycles do definitely change and hormones can commence to play tricks It is such a delicate balance and stress too can be a cause.
The other things that may cause this is Polyps or Fibroids which again as we age from a reproductive point of view can become more predominant. The more serious things are highly unlikely, SO DO NOT STRESS!
Do you get pain with spotting? What colour is the spotting? Does it have a mucous consistency or is it watery?
When did this start?

Babydoctor - thank you so much for your time and reply! :HH: It means a lot and you calmed me which I needed badly.
My spotting started from my very 1st period, always 4-5 days before period, painless, brownish, mucousy, sometimes tingled with fresh blood.
Last 2 cycles spotting started 3dpo, painless, more watery, brownish and watery fresh blood. You are so right it's a very delicate balance and I'm not helping with stressing like crazy lol!
I googled a bit and found it could be polyps or fibroids, I certainly hope it's not the case :worry:
In both my successful pregnancies I was on Utrogestan 300 mg ( which is pure Progesteron) for the 1st 12 weeks.

Hi I am so glad that I could ease your stress. Sometimes stress is such a major factor. It really sounds that is hormonal related and I would be asking for a full month hormonal profile testing. From what you describe it does not sound like Fibroids or Polyps but you still need to check. xxxx

After 4 girls I just don't believe in 50/50 for us .I just can't.
Ok I have to try in like 4 days...maybe I back off.:nails::sad:

Hi Flava, oh is it so frustrating I know trust me. I am going to post on the Forum my observations with sperm ratios and potential assistance I have given people which in approx. 89.8% did change the outcome. I just need to compile the data properly! Typical Dr lol... I will post some initial thoughts which may assist you. When you swayed last time what did you do? I am here to help so feel free to ask as well as I need all your support for my GD lol....

Hi All, I am so sorry I have not been around much, feeling sick :(
Honestly, it is time we got our healthy babies. My heart breaks when I see patients with lots of one gender including myself. You know as a RE I know it is hard to believe but even people who have infertility issues still shyly say to me that can I help them with gender! As you can imagine I want to help everyone here and will do so. I just want to be honest and say PGD/IVF is the 99.9% way of gender selection. But in saying that we can try. I must say I need to look up for you Flava the MSU on in gender as I am not sure exactly what it is ! and I do believe it is the male factor we need to focus on. Big Hugs and my commitment to help and learn from everyone. Dr H xxx

September 9th, 2011, 01:15 PM
I know PGD is the sure thing to get your gender but we don't have the money to do it. It is way to expensive so the only thing left for us is try to sway.
MSU is modified swim up what we do at home in a incubator with egg white. Almost everyone else got what they wanted but me .(and 1 more girl I think)
This is what my DH takes every day , can you please tell me what you think of it?
zink
vit. E
Fish oil
folic acid
potassium
L-caritine
korean ginseng
ubiquino Cq10vit. D
vit. B12
wheat grass
grape seed
brewer's yeast
He also drinks lot's of green tea with lemon and some V8 and other juices.
It's to late to change for us now I will O in a couple days. But if it's a bfn I can add or take stuff.
Im sorry you feel sick! Hope you get better real soon!:bighug:

What about vitamins/supps/changes for dh if ttc a girl...have you given your opinion on this babyd or are waiting to adding in your writeup?
I am compiling all this information, unfortunately, I have the worst virus :( I am also getting some stats from my peers, particularly my personal friend whom is a top Geneticist (she is amazing and is passionate about this). Her research will blow you away :)
Also, in regards to swaying I know that is not affordable to some people to do PGD/IVF, although it really is the most guaranteed way to get the gender, not necessarily pregnant and as you can imagine it frustrates me so much about the costs. I just wish that I could open my clinic and perform it for very little money or for free:(
I do believe there is more to it than the role of the dice (as some my medical peers like to say).
Anyway, I believe that I can assist people with swaying although, I will state I am not 100% percent convinced that it will work but we can only try.
I think to make use of me the best and help everyone that is going to sway, I would prefer to develop individual plans with people on here. As it is very individualistic. If people are willing to give it a go, I will help as long as everybody is sure that they can really accept the opposite as I do not want to give anyone false hope. Big Hugs Dr H

Hi mummyof3boys :) Thank you for my welcome. I have to say regretfully, I do not see Gender Selection for Family Balancing being made legal anytime soon in Australia. For such a liberal country it is really disappointing. But we are behind when it comes to a few things regarding IVF. I cannot even get the best meditation here to help my patients here to conceive as it is illegal here! So, I know that sometimes the protocols I do are not the best. It breaks my heart!
I am sorry to hear about your miscarriages, I am happy to help as much as I can. Big hugs Dr H

Atomic Sagebrush, no worries :) I have read your all the studies you compiled and you have some great information and are a great help YOU ARE AWESOME , I honestly believe that we truly do not have all answers, it still mystifies me and no real answer has yet to be determined. I am open minded very different from most REs lol... My only comment is that the male sperm does play a major part in reproduction and there is about to be some excellent studies released which show a direct correlation between the sperm and gender. My own observations and data definitively show some correlation but as I said I still do not think we know all the answers. I wish the studies had a larger populous too! I say work on both lol... Babydoctor, I am very excited what you have to say. I love the different theories on the board here and I love the passion that people put into things here.
I really wish PGD was more affordable, too. I would definitely chose this route if I had more money or it was more affordable.
One of my friends who has two boys was so fixated on a having a girl, she just found out she is pregnant with a girl. I want to pick her brain about what she did differently, but she is opposed to swaying so I know for sure she did not do high tech.
Anyway, my point in sharing that is I wish swaying were more than just slightly increasing odds and more favorable. Is family balance a bad thing to wish for? Sigh.
