I will have to convince DH to quit smoking, at least until we have conceived. I have tried to look for links to publications showing that smoking sways pink, he really wants a boy, so i think that i can make it if i can show him that it really does count. Can anyone help?

Researchers at 'Action on Smoking and Health' have reported that a 30-year-old smoker can expect to live about 35 more years, whereas a 30-year-old non-smoker can expect to live 53 more years. In addition, the children of a parent or parents who smoke may be at risk from the genetic damage done to the parent before conception (because of their previous smoking), the direct effects to them in the womb, and the passive smoke they are exposed to after they are born.

Here is one. Some of the studies unfortunately did not differentiate between those who smoked a cigarette here and there and thosse who smoke heavily, but this is the best one http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2802%2908362-9/abstract?cc=y=
Additionally in our experience with my Custom Swayers, we have had overwhelmingly blue swayers (those with many girls who want boys) who had their husbands smoking. I would estimate as high as 40% of our blue swayers have had husbands who smoked. Less than 5% of the pink swayers (if that, even) have had husbands smoke.

Stopping totally is best, but even just cutting back will help, according to this study. :)

I have submitted the form now
I have read that smoking is a big thing in blue sway. I am not sure that my husband will cooperate as smoking is a big thing for him, and that makes my almost give the thought of trying. This will defiitely be our last chance at getting a boy, and it makes me angry that he wont quit.
Is there any point in swaying if smoking does not get ruled out...

Yes, there is still always a point!! Look at it this way - if you do everything exactly the same and he won't quit smoking, nothing has changed. If you do diet and exercise and supplements and all the other stuff, and he won't quit smoking, you have a bunch of other things working for you!!!

Yes, but i want everyting to be perfect on this sway[emoji17] anyways, we have agreed to think about this until christmas, he is not sure he wants another and i dint want to pressure him into it. Maybe staying with the two girls is the best thing for us. The responsibility of having children does affect a relationship, and i think we are in a good place now after a some hard years. I am afraid of disturbing it:( i have no idea what to do. I do have the swaying plan now, so either i will start swaying from new year, or i will drop the thought of snother child.
