Hi, just joined. Thanks for the site. I am interested in swaying blue and am impressed with the blue stats. My only concern is - what percentage of people with opposites add their stats?
Did everyone who bought a custom sway plan add their sways? If so, that's a great outcome.
Any idea why pink is much lower than blue?
Thanks!!

I try very hard to get as many people as possible, both successes and opposites, to add their info. Not everyone with a Custom Plan chooses to do that because many people want privacy but I do feel we have a very representative sample of the results. Strangely I have found many times it's the people whose sways worked that don't add their info - the people who got opposites are often very motivated to let everyone know that while sometimes those who have successes may put it off and then end up never coming back.
Overall more boys are conceived than girls anyway and additionally it is more likely to get a boy after 2,3,4 girls than it is a girl after 2,3,4 boys. This explains only part of the statistical difference though.
For TTC blue, we try to increase fertility every possible way. So it's all focused on getting and staying pregnant and that works for everyone.
Pink swaying is about reducing fertility enough to sway pink but not too much because then people can't get and stay pregnant, so it's a bit like hitting a moving target - some people go too far to reduce fertility and end up having to give up many sway tactics or even sway blue sometimes just to get pregnant at all. It's just a finer target to hit.
That having been said, if you look at things like pink diet longer than 12 weeks, exercise, one attempt, Clomid those things do have pretty similar results to the blue sways (about 75% ish).
Going from 70-75% likely to conceive boys (since that's what our results show) to 65-75% likely to conceive girls or vice versa is great results!

Thank you so much for your reply.
One more question-- is it possible to sway blue with a very healthy diet? I like to eat mostly fruit and vegetables and lean protein.
Thanks!

I did a regression analysis on the stats a while back. The sample size is sufficient for that and even though it has self reporting bias and no control, I still felt the results might be interesting and useful. They were. The things that were statistically significant were diet more than 12 weeks,'exercise, alcohol and interestingly enough, whether you thought your away worked. I was surprised that Nothing else reached that level, which could be due to small sample size. It seems a lot of people do different combinations, making it hard to draw a big enough sample. One thing that would be interesting to track is Metformin use. I'd love to see the stats for it. Anyway, I appreciate the stats and transparency.

Thanks for mentioning that.
I really truly think that based on our experiences all of the old-school supposition about what is actually swaying needs to go out the window. It just can't be working because they are not any different than the overall success rates of the site. There has to be some other thing(s), that no one has even guessed at yet, that is swaying. Can't be pH, can't be minerals, even the hormone theories are very suspect to me. We just don't know and so I think we need to focus on the stuff that is obviously working, let go of the stuff that isn't and is not doing anything other than preventing pregnancy, and I expect our success rates to continue to increase with this approach. :agree:

Yeah, after I realized certain viruses sway long after the infection is over, I realized that there are certain elements that we have no concept of nor any control. It's fascinating on some level that so many factors go into the sex ratio. Totally agree about tactics. I imagine a lot of it comes down to to each person's unique body chemistry. Having said that, swaying works. There's no doubt about it. The diet alone is significant and may give clues to what factors influence the sex ratio.

:agree: totally. What we have to remember is that your body's been getting signals for a lifetime and that we can alter the gender ratio as much as we can in 12 weeks with easy to make dietary changes that anyone can do, is amazing. It just can't work every time, there are just too many variables and some of them may be set and unchangeable (see link below) but over time I hope we end up geting solidly 70% or better for both pink and blue. I would like to see people start swaying with a second or third kid instead of a 4th or 5th like so many of us do, to increase the chances that we will get our desired gender sooner rather than later.
