DW Age:
33
DH Age:
34
Current Children's Gender(s)
boy, boy
Number of Months TTC
3
Did you purchase and follow a GD Personalized Plan?
Yes
DIET
Did you follow a diet plan?
Yes
If yes to diet, which one did you most follow? LE(Low Everything)

Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
I cut red meat although I did eat it about once every 2 weeks but I kept it to a minimal amount. I ate other meats but limited myself to about 4 times a week which was a big change from eating it twice daily as I was doing before.
I cut out breakfast entirely which was a huge change for me with my history of low blood pressure.
I cut out all snacking and only ate 2 meals per day.
I introduced coffee to my diet, I NEVER drank coffee before in my life and by conception time I was drinking 3 large ones daily. I also only used aspartame which I had never used for health reasons.
Switched from full fat coke to diet coke which I hated before lol.
I ate NO heavily fortified or highly nutritious foods like brown breads and cereal when they would have been a large part of my diet before.
I drank 1-2 glasses of white wine nightly from AF-O from mid August onwards.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
28 weeks at time of conception
Did you skip breakfast regularly?
Yes
Did DH change his diet with you?
No
Comments regarding DH's diet-
He continued to eat as usual though probably less red meat as I wasn't cooking it! He also cut down on eggs drastically as I stopped buying them unless I needed them for something. He actually was at his lowest conception weight but hasn't lost weight in the past couple of months as I tried to get him to maintain his weight while swaying.
DId you consume alcohol? Often- daily

DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details?
I had several cheats throughout my time on LE sometimes for up to a week at a time but never snacked or ate breakfast even during those times. I stayed with 1500 calories from May-September but I increased to 1800 slowly around then as I wanted to maintain instead of lose more weight. I yo-yoed from 120-123lbs since September.
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info?
-
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?
121.4lbs on O day
BMI 19.5
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?
I did cardio at the start but in September I realised I was losing too fast and couldn't dedicate the required time so I went full on couch potato then. I even kept house work to a bare minimum, I was the laziest I have ever been!
I weighed 140lbs after the birth of DS2 in Feb 2014. I began LE on May 1st and weighed 132lbs. My BMI has always been around 22.7 when conceiving my boys. My stomach has always been toned and flat, my rear end has always been chunky as have my hips and thighs however while on LE I lost weight from hips, thighs and rear end but have gained a little pouch belly.
THINGS in VG and CONCEPTION DATE(CD) INFO
pH Before Starting a Sway Program, if known
-
Any VG potions used? NO

CM pH at attempt
-
DH pH
-
How many BD attempts did you make for the BFP cycle?
One
BD Dates according to Ovulation 2 Days Before O

Any additional comments?
We had planned on doing every 3 days as this was to be our last attempt til 2016 but DH was away for a long weekend around O so it ended up being every 4 days instead.
THE DEED INFO
DH Info about Swimmers BD every few days

BD Position
Missionary
Did you Jump and Dump? Yes

Any relevant attempt details?
I was on top and had a big O. I hadn't had an O in months, I just wasn't feeling like it so it took me by surprise!
I propped my hips on a pillow for 5 minutes and flipped onto my stomach for about a minute before DS2 called out. I jumped and dumped at that point.
SUPPLEMENTS USED
DW Supplements Chitosan
folic acid

DH Supplements Licorice Root
Cranberry

Any additional supplement info?
DH was beyond useless for taking his supplements.
I took 800mcg Folic for first 10 weeks then increased to 1200 for next 10 weeks. On Atomics advice I increased to 1600 for the last couple of weeks.
I took antihistamines for our September attempt however I had no CM at all so dropped that for October and November.
I was taking 50mg Zoloft for anxiety up til September when I slowly weaned off it.
Did you do anything with Ions?
I slept with a rose quartz egg under my pillow every night since May.
I used lavender hand wash, lavender body deodorant, lavender bubble bath, lavender candles and lavender essence daily.
Moon Phase during conception?
Waxing Crescent
Did you use any Old Wives Tales?
Left sleeper. I am usually a right side sleeper so this took some getting used to lol but surely couldn't hurt!
Pink sleep suit underneath my bed.
Things that make me feel great about my sway:
Length of time on diet.
Overall changes made to my lifestyle.
I ovulated on CD17, usual O is CD20-21. My cycles have shifted a lot since being on LE.
Psychic medium told me when I would conceive (she was right) and says it's a girl!
That we just had the single attempt.
Took longer to conceive, our boys were first attempts.
I conceived our boys in summer months (end of May and start of June) Both their birthdays are in February. This LO is due in August.
Boys were conceived during a full moon, this baby was conceived just after a New moon phase began.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
Having an orgasm!
That DH didn't religiously take his supplements.
No cardio.
Chinese calendar said girl for DS1, boy for DS2 and says boy for this baby so hoping it's wrong like it was on DS1!
Cheat days became more numerous towards the end.
This is our last child so it's my last chance.
Also my SIL had 2 boys and then a girl, however she is the only one is my DHs family with a mixed gender family. His other 3 sisters and one brother all have single genders (1 boy, 5 girls, 3 boys, 2 girls)
Things worth mentioning:
My due date is a week after I turn 34 and the psychic medium says I will deliver in July just before my birthday!

I'm updating my sway today to say that although it was "unsuccessful" I fully believe this third little boy is meant for me. I already feel he is healing me in ways I didn't think a boy could, I felt that only a daughter could, or the idea of a daughter could, help me deal with my GD. I don't know what the future holds, perhaps I will be back swaying post partum as DH has said that if I want to try one last time we can do so in 2017 but right now I'm living for and loving on this little man. I wish each and every one of you to get your desired gender but please do know that even if you end up with an opposite like me you CAN still find peace, there is a light at the end of the GD tunnel!

Thank you so much Atomic for all your support and encouragement! You are an absolute gem and I hope you know how much you are valued here xxx

Not until March unfortunately but I will be sure to update when I do :)

ETA: Unfortunately none of the clinics near me will do an anatomy scan before 18 weeks at the earliest! Another 6 to go!!

Very interesting that your fat deposits changed on the diet. I wonder if maybe you have a bit of insulin resistance/tendency towards IR? I would and HAVE done anything to get a flat tummy and no dice. Did you prefer your body before?

I did wonder if perhaps I should have moved to the PCOS diet after a while maiden but I was losing weight easily on regular LE so I stuck at it. When I say I have a pouch belly it was still relatively flat just less toned, probably from lack of exercise. I have to say I preferred my body after LE. I felt I could wear whatever clothes I wanted and not look "fat" though my face was (and still is really!) quite gaunt so I didn't like that but I suppose you can't have it all lol.
Thanks for commenting maiden, it made me read back over my sway and I am confident that I did the best I could so regardless of the outcome I'm happy my sway was good. If this little one is indeed a boy then he was just destined for me!

You know it's really weird we have been talking about this because I have noticed something weird too, in that I have always had a pretty major pooch even when I was super thin before and exercising a lot. I would lose weight from my head down to my belly button, and my knees up to my mid thigh, and there it would stop, which I hated because I felt like I looked very out of proportion. (and this was true with my weight loss before DS 4 too) but subsequently I feel like I do have a different fat distribution with a more spread out pattern. This may be age related but it is interesting

Having just seen the pic of you when you got your BFP, I have to say:

1. I can't ever imagine any part of you was 'chunky', though I can envision a more voluptuous version of that pic...nowhere NEAR chunky though

2. You were right to correct yourself, your belly was definitely still flat. You clearly have never had a pouch and I hope you never do! (I have always had a major pot belly for my extremely small boned, otherwise thin & lanky build, even at BMI 14, and even 1 year post liposuction; I will get a tummy tuck when I'm done having kids.)You have a bangin' body of which you should feel damn proud.

And yes, it's clear you DID YOUR BEST with your sway which is all ANYONE can do. I hope that brings you acceptance if not comfort should you find you are definitely having a boy. And maybe you can work on DH re: HT or another sway, if you want to go either route.

Hopper, congrats on your boy! I'm sorry you didn't hear girl but you sound so in peace with your third boy. I really want to feel like you do if we will have our third boy as well. It's amazing that your DH says you could try for a fourth! (This will definitely be our last, DH keeps reminding me about it. Maybe that's why I feel so nervous about the gender as I know there will absolutely be no more chances.) I am happy you are feeling so good about your little baby boy, he will be really special! All the best for you and your family Hopper. And good luck if you decide to sway again someday! :)

Hugs sweetie! You put your all into your sway and gave it your best shot. I too had a failed sway and was blessed with my DS3. I will tell you he will melt your heart and once you meet him you will see he is the perfect addition to your family. Good luck to you if you decide to sway and try again for a fourth. Take comfort you still have another chance to chase your dream.

Hugs!

Thanks XX, I feel he is perfect for us already and am so impatient to meet him. I wanted a girl so badly I am actually very surprised at the acceptance I feel - actually its more than acceptance, its delight! Have you decided if you will try again? It's nice to have the door left open, it makes everything a lot easier and it seems less final. Some days I feel very at peace with the idea of not having any more children and just embracing the blue and then there are others where I feel there's a hole in my heart that will never heal. I find myself getting very bitter towards mothers with PPs so obviously the GD is still rampant but I'm hoping that it will lessen over time. I'm hoping the more vocal I am about being happy about this little man the less the "failure" of my sway will sting (I actually don't think my sway failed, I think being on LE for 30 weeks was just way too long so there were many cheats made in the 6-8 weeks prior to conception therefore undoing a lot of my earlier work. Also this little man was just destined for us!!)

Congrats hopper, you had an awesome sway! Really! I believe in swaying but it all comes down to what is meant to be is just meant to be. And having a healthy baby boy is just as wonderful as having a daughter! I am currently swaying and had a little scare and honestly a healthy baby over another daughter is more important. I wish you the best!
3 boys they will be so close! Best friends i have two sisters and were bffs so I could imagine having 3 of same gender it's pretty cool :)
