Hi everyone,

I have been studying this site for a while and I am hoping to start ttc in march of 2016!! Good luck everybody!

I just have one question for now. I work nightshift 5 days a week as a nurse and only get regular night time sleep on the weekends. Can I still sway? I know its best to be as healthy as possible and have a diet routine of some sort but its hard with my messed up sleeping hours. I often sleep the afternoon away.

I have a 3 yr old daughter and having girls seems to be a pattern in my family.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

I can tell you I have conceived 2 boys while I have been working nights, I have always just made sure I snacked regularly (not for swaying, just to keep my energy levels up) I don't know if you would be able to do that?

Thats comforting. All the women I know on my shift have girls!! I get two breaks through out the night when I can snack, so i'd never go more then 3 hours without eating.

Thanks for your response!

While we do believe that getting less sleep may sway slightly pink, when swaying, focus on what you CAN change instead of worrying about what you can't. If you're doing all the other things that you can possibly do to conceive a boy, then you just have to let go of the stuff that is less than ideal. It NEVER comes down to just one thing - it's the big picture. Just do your best to get the rest that you can get and then focus on the other lifestyle things that are in your control.
