Hello ladies! I am doing a light girl sway, as I was making myself a nervous wreck trying to change so many things previously, that I decided that in itself was not helpful at all, and that honestly and truly a healthy baby is my only concern at this point =) I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old (boys!) and had a missed miscarriage in October. This month (December) will be our first month actively able to try again as I had a period and my hcg levels are FINALLY 0! Yay!

My main question is this: If I switch from prenatals to just folic acid tomorrow, will that automatically start "swaying" or does it take time to get other vitamins out of my system? I haven't taken any vitamins in three days because I ran out and I just picked up some folic acid instead of the vitamins today.

Also, I am doing a "light" version of the LE diet. Huge changes for me are: Only 3 meals a day, no red meat, fasting time of 12+ hours between dinner and breakfast, increasing calcium. I am not being hard on myself to follow this as it causes me a lot of anxiety lol which is not good. I have only lost about 3 pounds in the last month, but honestly the miscarriage caught me off guard and food was the last thing I wanted to worry about. I'm a little more adamant about it now!

I can't do exercise so unfortunately that is out, but we are sticking with one attempt.

Since i'm throwing it all out there...my face has been breaking out REALLY bad lately. Like since I went off bc 4 months ago, but now after my miscarriage it's awful! Somebody told me this means high testosterone. Any ideas?

Sound like it is okay? or is doing something this "light" of a sway not even worth it? Thanks and good luck you all with your pink dreams!!

I don't know if acne means high testosterone but I always had hormonal acne (like around my period) and I didn't have high testosterone. Where is the acne?

I did a light sway and ended up pregnant with a girl. I didn't take a calcium supplement though. I was taking a B-complex with vitamin C every morning though. I had short cycles, so I read somewhere that it was helpful for that.

Thanks for replying! Acne on my face. Always have had hit since I was like 11 and has gotten worse or better randomly throughout my life. It's awful this past few weeks, and I clearly don't want to start medicine from dermatologist if we are trying to conceive! Trying to plow through it even though it looks awful!!

You need to wean off the prenatals gradually. Don't just quit them cold turkey, it can make you sick. Yes, it does start swaying on some nutrients right away, others take time to go down.

Increasing calcium is not part of LE Diet just so you're aware. It's fine to take calcium supps if you believe in it as a sway tactic, but I would NOT start drinking tons of dairy - be sure you are sticking in the limits for the day.

Testosterone is just one of many reasons why people break out. Many women get breakouts due to changes in estrogen and progesterone as part of their menstrual cycle or because of preganncy, that have nothing to do with testosterone. I suspect it's because you came off BC and then had the loss, things are just weird right now unfortunately. It will probably clear up on its own.

We consider it a sway even if you only do one or two things. That may make all the difference! :)

Good luck and I"m sorry for your loss.
