Hi ladies! I usually get a +opk on day 18 and this time I got one this morning at day 15. It was negative at 5 pm last night (Friday) positive today at 7am (Saturday morning) and negative at 2 pm again today (Saturday afternoon) and I was really crampy last night and this morning. We had an attempt Wednesday night. Should we attempt tonight (Saturday?) Pump me up or talk me down lol. Thanks ladies!!

Atomic seems to be pretty adamant about only one attempt in fertile window. I've also read on here that every 4 days is suggested. So maybe Sunday? Do you know when you typically O in relation to your positive opk? I know I typically O a full 2 days later.... usually I'm getting negative opks when I actually O . So maybe you haven't even O'd yet or are today?

Good point. I don't actually KNOW if I ovulated. I should just keep with four days then I'm guessing...

If you don't temp, then I'd stay with BD every four days just to make sure your bases are covered without adding in any extra attempts.

I would stick with every 4 days and then you won't have to worry about swaying blue by too many attempts :) goodluck

I think I'm going to stick with every four days and eliminate opk's. I'm trying to reduce my anxiety level (in general not just swaying) and that helps! Thanks for the responses!

The rule of thumb on this is that there IS no rule of thumb really.
For best possible sway, stick with one attempt at pos.
For best odds of conception, add attempts (but no more than 2 overall is best)
If you've been TTC a long time or if OPK don't work for you or if it just stresses you out to even think about, then the every 4 days is a fine compromise.
The every 4 days is a nice compromise for those who aren't sure about their OPK really working. IT's not what I generally have people start off with and honestly it's taken a bit of a life of its own lately with more and more people doing it right from the start (which is totally fine and at your discretion). The catch is that it's kinda new and I do not YET feel like we have the results for me to recommend it for the average person right from the get-go. It doesn't mean it's not as good, it could even be better, it's just that I don't like asking people to take on anything I am not totally sold on yet.
