View Full Version : Period only lasted 1 day?

Is this something that happens to people sometimes or am I doing something with swaying to cause this?

My usual periods are very light and only last 3 to 4 days. I usually have 2 days of moderate bleeding and spotting the rest of the time.

However, this month I am now on CD 2 and the light spotting has just about stopped. I only had a moderate flow yesterday morning and by evening it was so light I wouldn't even use a tampon.

We are having our attempt this month.... I did just test to be sure and it was negative (thankfully, for now).

Could any part of swaying cause this? Is this a bad sign? That I didn't have much to shed....

I've been LE (vegetarian) for over a month now with the 7 weeks prior doing IG.
Only supps are folic acid, saw palmetto, and vitex. Vitex I've only been on for about 5 weeks. I've quit the vitex and sp recently as I'm starting clomid tomorrow. (Swaying purposes only).
Also I do an hour cardio 5 to 6 days a week which I started 5 weeks ago.

My last period (26 days ago) was normal .

Sorry if that's too much info  I've just never experienced such a short period before.

I think it could be the vitex. Are you drinking a heap of peppermint tea? I totally stopped AF once with that (it was a lot - like 4 bags 4 times a day) or have you dropped lots of weight really quickly?.But don't freak out and try to gain any though if you have. I'm sure atomic will have some good advice when she sees this for you. I think it will all be ok. Pink dust to you

Thank you for your response :-)

No I haven't been drinking peppermint tea since I was taking sp and vitex. I was wondering if it could be the vitex....

And no I haven't dropped a ton of weight... When I started to sway in October I was 117 lbs.... I've lost about 5 lbs but have been holding steady at 112 or sometimes 113 for about 2 months.

I have never had one that short, mine are pretty light these days but always more than a day. I have had the flow just about stop after a day but then it started again.

I would keep testing just incase

I am like you, I've always had light, short periods (3 days average, 4 days max, sometimes 2 days). Since swaying on and off for over 2 years my AFs are even lighter and shorter, and at least twice I've had only 1 day of flow followed by spotting exactly like you described. I have taken Vitex at points but my shortest AFs were off Vitex. I think it's the diet, my diet was quite different before. If you are on Clomid you should be fine, that will stimulate nice strong O.

Good luck!

We see that all the time with swaying and it may indicate you're more pink friendly than you were before. My cycles were very light and short the 2 months before I got my daughter and several others have reported this as well. I also went from 3-4 day cycles to 1/2. We have all been able to get pregnant anyway so I would just keep up with what you're doing, the Clomid would fix any issue with estrogen anyway.
