What does "jump and dump" mean?

Sorry, I'm sure this is extremely obvious. But I just want to be sure...I keep seeing it in people's sways but no one defines what it is. Is it just, um, jumping up after sex and...what, cleaning yourself out or something? Lol, sorry! And what is the reasoning behind this? To wash away those weakling boy sperm and allow only the strong little girls to keep swimming? Thanks!!

It means you lay there for just a few minutes and then get up and wipe away the semen. It's because there's some indication that a lower sperm count sways girl, and that reduces the number of sperm that reach the egg.

Directions above, the theory is that lower sperm numbers tend to sway pink. Our results have shown that it may boost odds of pink somewhat so it is definitely something to consider at least trying (unlike some of the better known sway tactics that aren't seeming to do anything for us).

The idea that boy sperm is weak and girl sperm are strong has been totally debunked. This is a sperm numbers game, it seems, with more sperm = more boys and fewer = more girls. But you still need quite a few swimmers to make it to the egg and penetrate the egg shell so we can't go overboard with it and kill off everything.

What's the time limit on J&D? Does it need to be within 5 minutes of ejaculation or what? Is 20 minutes too long to be considered J&D? I don't see how 5 minutes or less is comparable to an hour let alone overnight as stated in FAQ?

I ALWAYS J&D immediately because I'm always on top and I just stand up and go clean up lol!
Although now that we're ttc I did make an attempt to lie down for a few min but I was like nope yuck I need to go take care of this lol!

I think 5-10 minutes is best for a true J and D. But anything shy of 30 minutes still kind of counts. It takes about 30 minutes for all the living sperm to leave the semen and go into the EWCM in the cervix.
