Hi All!
I know this question has probably been asked tons of times and I know that 'every pregnancy is different' but I want to hear from you!
If you've had different genders, did you have different symptoms?
This is my 3rd baby… I'm just over 8 wks :)
I have two handsome little boys already, and I did sway pink for this one - not hard core, so maybe consider it a half sway LOL.
*pregnant following 2 chemicals in a row, folic acid, one attempt on weds night and +opk Friday, drinking caffeine and white wine regularly, for diet: skipping breakfast, drinking crystal light, no bananas, very little to no potatoes… and tried to cut back overall to reduce calorie intake.
So far I've felt pretty good, I had great pregnancies with both my boys and so far I can't complain about this one either. The only differences are that I've had little waves of nausea here and there but nothing too severe, weird cravings (total opposite of my boys), moody and also had some extreme anger episodes - which seem to have died down a little since the first couple weeks - thank god! Boobs are not sore at all, I haven't been hungry much and haven't' gained any weight yet, and thats pretty much it.
I feel like this is another boy…. I'm not sure if thats because I always thought with a girl I'd be super sick and have everything totally different, or if its because psychologically I don't want to get my hopes up.
So… tell me your stories...were your symptoms the same or different with different genders?

Same. I was so so so sure this baby was a boy! I KNEW "he" was a boy. I was so sure that when the ultrasound tech said it was a girl I didn't believe her. I made her check another 3 times before I finally realized nothing was going to appear between the legs. My symptoms were nearly identical to my boys. All my pregnancies were different in some ways, but they all were pretty much the same. The only obvious difference this time was I gained 12lbs in my first trimester. I have NEVER gained much if any weight in my first trimester so that was different. I just chalked it up to being pregnant with my 4th and having been so thin before conceiving I was just gaining the weight my body needed. The only tiny difference is my morning sickness has yet to go away and I'm craving sweets like crazy vs. my usual meat that I crave around this time.

I've said it a million time my first girl and boy were identical pregos and even births from contractions times to time they were born lol. With number 6 same as all other pregos nausea but no vomiting, heartburn as always, and low energy. I always have same pregos and its a girl this time.
But all that aside I'm calling girl here:)
Good luck!

that's definitely a sway, nothing halfway about it!
Symptoms do not predict gender. I have seen 1,234,567,890 people stress and obsess about this idea and I can say with every fiber of my being, if there is anything to it at all, it's SO unreliable that it is useless. Like EVEN if it works for 10% of all people perfectly (which it doesn't, I just hate going around and being a negative nelly to everyone who thinks it worked for them), that's useless for all of us really because who knows if they're in the 10% of people who it works for or hte 90% of those it doesn't.
My DD pregnancy was the most similar to my DS 2. Very easy, not very sick at all. If anything, I was the least sick with her. My other three pregnancies (all boys) were as different as night, day, and a rhinocerous.

Thanks atomic. I know it's not a reliable way to predict anything, but I just can't help but be curios! I know I did sway a little, I just didn't go extreme so I feel less confident than other hard core sayers lol. Here's to hoping I get lucky! It's out of my hands now, and healthy is obviously my main priority!

WE get better results with the less hard core approach. The hard core, kitchen sink mindset seems to sway so strongly blue due to personality issues (being a control freak tends to sway blue) that we see much better results with the "half-ass" approach. :)

Lol yes I will definitely share my results... but we probably won't know until the end of august, I'm going let it be a surprise this time :)

Well, the results are in!!!
I had a beautiful little GIRL on August 18th :) :) :)
I still can't believe it. We kept it a surprise (which was slightly agonizing) but it was the most incredible surprise of our lives when she was born. She's 2.5 weeks old and it still doesn't feel real.
Thanks for all the tips along the way.

Yeah!!! I am so happy for you. It fills me with so much joy when people sway and get the gender they were trying for. It also gives me hope because I am not an over the top hard core swayer either, I stick to the basics. Congratulations needsomepink- you got your pink now. Yeah!!!

Huge congrats!!!! Would love for you to do an add your sway if you didn't already. It is the sways where people only did a few things that tell us the MOST about what is really swaying.

Congratulations! amazing story that gives me hope too :) i did a laid back pink sway this time that was very similar to yours and have also chosen to be team green, its so nice to be reminded that relaxed sways do work! its so easy to doubt yourself thinking that you didnt do enough/weren't strict enough etc!

All of my pregnancies have been the same. I had three boys, one loss of unknown gender ( I believe that was a boy also, but will never know), and now a girl. Have not felt nausea in any pregnancy. My skin has always been bad during pregnancy. (maybe a little worse this time), and tired the first three months in all of them. In my case symptoms does´t predict anything, just predict that Im pregnant.
