Hi I've been lurking for a while, and have finally decided to chime in! I'm hoping to find a few buddies that are planning on ttc a boy later this year or even beginning of next year? We have a 3.5 yr old girl and a 1 yr girl. I'm still nursing and we don't want to even start trying until this little one is closer to 2...
I do plan on buying a customized plan when it gets a little closer to when I'd be starting the diet!
Anyone else in the same boat and want to chat!!?

Currently pregnant with a girl and hoping to start trying for a boy once this baby is 6 months old :X hoping to breastfeed and know atomic says both of these things sway pink, but I also was like 95% swaying girl last time unintentionally, and hoping how fast I got pregnant points me more towards blue next time!

Atomic, do you put much stock into the whole "more boys are born in the summer thing?? We have a November baby and a January baby, both girls, and part of me wants to give it a go in September, October and November to aim for a summer baby. I have sooo many friends that have summer boys!

@AMS: I was really hoping for the past month the thing about summer boys wasn't true. My boys are from June and September. Well, our little girl will be born in July, so I think your diet is weigh more imortant. Good luck!

It's a good study, so I do put some stock in it, BUT even the study found it was only a few percentage points. I think you're best off planning to sway when it is right for you and your family and just sway your little heart out. I have 2 boys in "girl months" and got my girl in a "boy month".

Thank you! I'm around 23 weeks right now (due the first week of June) and is indeed my first! I had really been hoping for a boy to GD levels, but I'm coming more to terms with it (especially after reading through so much of this forum!).

My DS2 was conceived in September and born in June. My DS1 conceived in November and born in August. My DS3 (failed girl sway) was conceived in March and born in November.
Diet, exercise (if you do any), and number of attempts in your fertile window trump any slight effect conception/birth months may have.
We may be TTCing at the same time, although my attempts and sway will need to be über stealth. My DH can't bear to get his hopes up again, but I'm going to give it my all this time.

My husband is 100% fine with having a third girl(he just has never cared either way) so I feel like the weirdo that is just so obsessed with having a boy, I just can't let go of the thought of never having a son.

I'll take every speck I can, haha! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help! Before my DS3, I led a classic boy lifestyle so I can offer advice and support if you need it! Don't feel like a weirdo- the heart wants what the heart wants!
I don't feel lucky enough to be able to give my DH a DD [emoji20]. I feel like no matter what I do, I'll have another boy. The thing is, I LOVE being a boy mom! I always wanted to have boys! It's just my DH has deeply longed for a DD that makes me want to give it another shot for him. He doesn't want to get his hopes up again, so I'm having to sway and TTC undercover!

Even though I have not actively swayed at all (not even for fertility! it just... happened, haha!), I feel like the diet really, truly can play a role. I was such a textbook pink diet, no wonder I'm having a girl -- it might really, truly be the difference. Or at least, that's what I'm hoping when I start swaying blue (which, honestly, I've already started eating for in pregnancy!)

XXforhubby, Awww don't feel that way!! Do you mind if I ask how hardcore you swayed with your failed sway? I was definitely text book girl diet with both of mine. I never ate breakfast, was always on the run and not caring if I was eating healthy or not. And with both of my girls I had literally just started running(hardcore, like training mode) again and probably shocking my body.
I'm still nursing dd but am at the point where I'm not enjoying it anymore and she's over a year so I'm slowly starting to wean. Since having her I have made a lifestyle change with my eating(nothing to do with swaying) lots of fruits and veggies and a big egg and veggie scramble every morning! So I'm hoping this gives me a nice foot forward for when I do start the actual HE diet!!
XXforhubby
February 8th, 2016, 08:20 AM
I did sway hardcore at first. Then when I didn't get a BFP, I kept tweaking things. Eventually I increased a supplement I had been taking (for non-swaying purposes), because I read it helped with egg quality in older moms. It messed up my fertility! I basically had to eat more protein and fat, take vitamin D, and CoQ10 just to conceive. I believe that my constant micromanaging my sway, and all the above contributed to my precious DS3!
I'm feeling more and more like my family is complete. I have days where I want another baby. I think it's just what happens when baby making days are dwindling- it's a gradual process for me. Looking into my DS3's eyes this morning tells me I could be good with the way things are. I haven't felt this way up till now.
FX and GL with your sway! I'm not sure if I will TTC or not. If I do, it will have to be uber stealth! Regardless, please take my blue baby dust, it's the rambunctious and super snuggly with mama kind [emoji597][emoji92][emoji170][emoji843][emoji170][emoji94]!

I just wanted to chime in....I've been waiting for someone to start a thread for TTC late 2016/early 2017 haha. I have two boys and I would love to experience raising both genders. I want to start TTC for a girl in November so I plan on starting the LE diet in August. I've been on the pill for almost 5 years and I'll come off in November so we can catch the first egg. I want to wish everyone luck and a healthy baby!!! FX that we all get our DG!!!

I am here, I am here!! (like a who in Horton hears a who, haha)!
So glad this thread was made! Just catching it!! We just welcomed DD3 in October, she is truly wonderful- a smile that would melt you to pieces!!
We plan to sway blue! If all goes well, we will be ttcing in August- November time frame. We will be moving from South Korea to Louisiana in June (it has been pushed from May to June, already). If we don't catch an egg or something goes awry than we will wait for 2017 same time frame. We just have too many months we're trying to avoid due to holidays and other birthdays. DH is onboard but more worried about our move back to the states right now... finding a place to live, shipping our car, hotels, flights, visiting family... the jet-lag (aahhh!). So, once that's behind us we'll have more definitive timeline and less stress!
I am now a dream member and bought a custom plan! So so helpful! I am in pre-pre swaying stages. More cardio & weights, I have lost 15inches, and only 4 pounds (more muscle!) since Jan 1st! My diet has certainly changed! I normally only eat like 1500-1700 cals a day. I've been averaging 2000!!! I actually had coconut water for the first time on Monday and have been making my Shakeology drinks with it (and almond milk). Yesterday, was my first time buying an avocado! lol I made avocado salsa, yum for nachos!
Good Luck to everyone!
PS... My only son was conceived in the "girl zone", haha, born in Jan (due in Feb). DD1 born in August, DD2 born in December, and DD3 born in October (due in Sept). My mom, my sister and I are all July babies, but so is DH. Also, the gender calendar is literally wrong for all my kids lol!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! It is very stressful, but we are all used to it :/. Our 6th move in 11 years. DH and I met when we were both Active Duty Army. I got out and he stayed in and we've moved all over the place, collecting children as we go, haha.
Looks like we will be swaying around the same time (god willing)! If you have any questions I am sure AMS and I can give you some good tips swaying girl & I am giving all of my pink dust away! <3 Good luck to everyone!

I'm thinking we are still in it for September through November but I guess that will depend on how weaning goes and how I feel my sway is at that point! I'd love to have some ttc buddies!

Hey friends!! Hoping I can jump in on this board too :) We're planning to TTC a girl end of 2016 (like no earlier than Nov/Dec) or early 2017. I'm pretty excited and am in pre swaying stage as well. Trying to make some changes now... Skipping breakfast (NOT easy for me I've always been a breakfast person), adding in fiber, cutting down meat intake, etc. The no snacking thing will be killer as I love my snacks. Yea, I've pretty much always had a textbook boy-friendly lifestyle, and as such, I have two beautiful, perfect little boys :) Hoping for just one little girl to complete our family!

I am TTCing AMS! My DS3 is almost 8 months. Some days I feel crazy for wanting close spacing, but I don't have long left to TTC. My DH and I agreed we would re-evaluate in December if I don't get a BFP before then. I just know that he won't want to keep going past then, since I think I want a 4th more than him. I'm just thankful he has given me until then! I'll also feel whatever happens is meant to be. We've been having well timed BDing since March.

Thanks ladies! I feel like I have a pretty good sway going on. The one thing that makes me a tad nervous is that sometimes I have to have a 4th small meal or snack. It seems to happen when my DS3 breastfeeds more than normal (he's teething). I have been great with the exercise. I typically exercise more than 7 days a week and often more than the 60min. I'm hoping this offsets those times. I make sure to eat empty carbs to have a crash and burn effect on my blood sugar. I stick to the limits very well and even my cheats only cause me to go over on calories only.
I should just cut myself some slack [emoji12]!

Totally! Our first was a mistake, but i fell pregnant with her like the only time we didn't use protection. And our second was only our second month of trying and the first month I don't even think I timed it correctly to ovulation! Hopefully since we both seem super fertile with extreme LE lifestyles, we will have no problem conceiving some blue with he changes!

Hi ladies,
Popping back in! I have MIA because of our move and still settling in!
My update... Before we left Korea I noticed tons and tons and tons (most I've had I years) EWCM, then took an OPKs and sure enough +! I got my first AF 2 days after we got to the states! Right after we got back I got very sick and my sleep schedule still hasn't completely adjusted. I barley ate for like 3 days and then ate at weird times (due to my FIL cooking, haha). In addition to that, my 8-month-old decided to cluster-feed for the week we got back...sigh. We choose not wean her before we left for the states for an easier transition for her (we are still nursing but starting to wean now). I got back on track with my diet and Emmalyn adjusted to her original nursing schedule around the 16th-18th of June.
We moved to LA on the 1st- also the day I wanted to start my full on sway. Started weaning on the 11th. Then the 12th of July rolled around and no af... on the 13th the return of tons and tons of EWCM and a + OPK on the 16th. So, that's where I'm at. Still lifting weights, and kickboxing here and there and my diet is great. I eat as soon as I wake up always snacking...daily shakeology, coconut water, naked juice, red meat, fruits and veggies, protein + carb, nuts and dark chocolate at night for snack.
I have been pre-swaying since Feb and our first attempt was planned for August, but now with how crappy June was we may be postpone... ugh. It's super frustrating. My biggest concerns besides how crappy June was, is I am still nursing, ttcing while my youngest is now 9.5 months, late O.
What I feel great about so far; exercise, diet, taking supps and BDing pattern! We've managed to dtd thru all the craziness, haha!
Anwyays, love reading the updates! Good luck ladies!!

I was originally going to start ttc in August but we are now postponing until November. My dd is 18 months and I thought for sure we would have weaned by now, but we haven't!
I've been doing really well with healthier eating but I'm not going to start the full on diet for a few more weeks as far as calories and all the extra snacks. I'm at a really healthy weight right now and I don't want to gain have an unhealthy weight effect my sway at all!
I've been doing weights for times a week so far and actually really love it!!
How are you liking LA!? What a big move!

Thanks for asking!! The move is still on going, we won't get any of our good shipments until mid-August. :sigh:. It's hot down here and tons of bugs from hell. Other than that, all is well.
So glad you are enjoying lifting weights!!
We were considering postponing, but we're playing it by ear. I've been steadily pre-swaying since Feb! Only June being my only off month. Weaning is going much much better... she was strongly refusing the bottle, then yesterday it just clicked. We are still nursing at bedtime and once early morning. I eat a snack (carb&protein) and pray a lil each time I nurse. :)

Same! I'm amazed I got pregnant immediately with how extreme I was LE.

People do adjust to it over time. I know so many ladies go onto LE Diet and it's like going from 60 to zero overnight. That's why they stop ovulating and lose weight rapiidly. But tons of gals do perfectly fine eating basically a LE Diet (it is based on the World Health Organization's recommendations for the minimum healthy pre-pregnancy nutrient intake and reproductive endocrinologist's guidelines for their fertility patients who need to lose weight) and over time, we would adjust and resume ovulating again even if we did not make any changes in diet, it's just that we don't want to wait around for that to happen.
My mom never ate breakfast, had a child-size hot lunch at her school every day, and then had whatever for dinner which was usually like pure carbs (mac and cheese, spaghetti, rice a roni casserole, green salad with crabmeat on top, that kind of thing). She hardly ever snacked and the rare occasions she did it was a slice of bread with nothing on it, or a small amount of peanut butter with maple syrup in it. (I'm talking like once every 3 months) She could not have been eating more than 1500 cals a day most days, and did that her whole fertile life and never missed ovulating or anything.
Lots of people are just walking around eating like this!! Think of the Yoplait Light for breakfast, bagel for lunch, pasta or salad for dinner gals. It's just because it is not what we're used to that it shocks our body!!

And since this is a boy thread I will just point out the opposite is true too - tons of us who have lots o boys eat all day long every day. I am only 5-4 and 125-130 lbs my whole life (this seems like a lot but I'm built like a terrier LOL with lots of muscle) and I eat ALLLLL the time. Easily 3000 cals a day for many stretches over the course of my existence.
Now that I"m older I do have to watch things like too much pop and stuff like that but seriously...I often eat as much as my much taller and bigger husband!! You do adjust over the course of time. :)

Agreed! I'm only 5'5", I've always fluctuated between 130lbs (absolute smallest in my adult life)-145lbs. When I first got to Germany, I enjoyed the food and beer too much and even made it to 165lbs!! I started working out more and trying to lose the weight about the time I conceived DS- drinking lots of green tea, smaller meals but all the time.

Hoping to join some of you ladies in October 😀 not strictly swaying but still doing some girl sway tactics. Will be trying mostly for a sticky pregnancy. I very rarely have breakfast and when I do its late morning so technically a lunch for me. Have gone off red meat entirely but will have small serves of chicken a couple times a week. I'm not tracking nutrition anymore as after doing it for the better part of last year I feel pretty confident I'm hitting the limits for the most part anyway :) I will likely be using clomid or femara to help conceive so glad its considered a pink tactic. At this stage I have no idea what bd pattern I'll be doing but plenty of time until I have to decide lol. Not exercising either. Am currently taking coq10 to hopefully improve egg quality but will likely drop that before ttc (I'm sure I've read you shouldn't take coq10 with clomid/femara? Anyone else seen this?) Also 1500mcg folate/folic acid daily and prenantal 3 x week. Sorry for the big spiel just excited to be back in the ttc frame of mind I guess :) and look forward to getting to know you all over the next few months. For the blue swayers I'm happy to share what my diet, lifestyle, bd pattern etc was when I conceived my two sons?

Well with ds1 - I was always a big meat eater as in pretty much had meat with every meal, even a snack was a meat pie or sausage roll lol. I was working in a high stress job where time management was critical. I micromanaged everything! Was pretty much someone who wrote a list for the lists I needed to write and this even affected home life (even though it was just me and dh) I would freak out if we were even 5 minutes late.
With ds2 I had mellowed somewhat with the time thing (I had a child so no choice lol). My diet was still protein heavy and I'd put on quite a bit of weight. I'd started doing fitness classes 3 x week plus some cardio a couple months before conceiving him to try shift some weight. Cant think of much else but to say I ate alot of meat, bread etc... if I think of more I'll post again :)
