View Full Version : What's new in the TTC pink world?

I'm just starting to think about swaying again.
My successful girl sway baby is almost 6 months old and I'd like to try for our last (and hopefully pink!) baby while I am still breastfeeding her, maybe catch the first egg since my period isn't back yet.
I was wondering if anything has changed in the TTC pink world?
For my successful girl sway in September 2014 I did the following:
PCOS LE diet 12 weeks with lots of alcohol and caffeine
60 min cardio 6-7 days a week for 8 weeks prior to attempt
1 attempt at +OPK with second batch of sperm
clomid
Since Im breastfeeding I'd skip the clomid this go around. Anything else that's been proving successful?

Congratulations on your sway! Gives me hope, aside from the pcos bit my sway is basically the same.... just made our first attempt :-)
Everything you've noted sounds like what's still being recommended.

Aahhhh Carmella! So good to see you back! I've been wondering where you had got to. Can't believe your baby is 6 months already! Congratulations xx
Your sway sounds almost the same as what I did (except I didn't do clomid and we DTD every 4 days).
Are you going to get DH to do anything? Mine did OLE and cycling :)
Don't think there is anything new yet. The alcohol and caffeine were the newish things.
How exciting!

Sounds good still! 2nd batch of sperm isn't important though. One attempt is what is key. Most people are either doing one attempt at +opk or BD every 4 days. Both leads to just one attempt in fertile window. Fiber seems to be getting good results too and is recommended with any fatty meals, but I'm not sure if Atomic recommends it for breastfeeding moms since it absorbs nutrients. I'm sure she'll chime in here. OLE for DH is always good too.

Nothing to add to all that's been said, no real big changes.

HI HI HI!
We are finding more than ever that it's the simple approach, pretty much what worked for you the last time, that is working, and all the rest of it is just background noise that seems to interfere with that. :agree: you got this!

Totally agree! My failed sways were so complicated and I was so tressed over it! I think a big piece of my successful sway was learning to be more laid back and chill. I had to almost get to a point where I didn't care if I got a girl or boy and be so relaxed with my sway in order to get my girl.
I spent a lot of time reading, napping, taking bubble baths, etc. When I usually am the crazy OCD mom cleaning everything and totally crazy type-A mom.

I would keep the cardio every day and diet(as best as you can).
I would skip Clomid and add fiber at meals.

Im skipping clomid this time around as I will be breastfeeding. Or at least I hope to be breastfeeding. I know breastfeeding lowers your fertility so that would sway pink for me but I have a hard time getting my period back while nursing and no egg means no baby, lol
