does a lemonade like 7up or Sprite sway as well as cola does? or is there something specific in cola that makes it preferable?

I *think* coke is more acidic but the diet lemonades are ok too, though best to make sure they're made with artificial stuff rather than real lemons (which boy swayers drink to up their pH!).

Yes, those are ok too. The carbonation is supposed to be acidifying and sugar pop causes your blood sugar to crash while diet pop has aspartame.

There is also the option of drinking plain seltzer water (nothing but water and fizz), Perrier (water, fizz, calcium, and magnesium) or tonic water (has quinine, which lowers testosterone - actually prob. better avoid that during the 2WW anyway) if you are sick of regular pop, or for anyone who is gaining weight. The one thing you must avoid is club soda, because that has baking soda in it.

Good point! Altho I do think lemons are ok in dietary amounts, that is not a part of the traditional swaying lore.

PS - also iced mint tea in dietary amounts!

Rainbow, I've been drinking loads of 7 up free, it has aspartame so I think it's fine!

Any of those are just fine.

Here's the essay where I talk about the various sweeteners and which way they sway and why, if you haven't read it! Might help making the decisions.
