I have been swaying Girl since May 2015, but only started TTC in October, but until now have not been successful. We have been doing 1 attempt at +opk, but using Sylk lube and we have been doing FR for hubby as he is 42.
I am trying the every 4 day method this time round, We had an unprotected attempt on Wednesday evening ( no lube and never got to do FR for hubby), but I am still checking with OPK's.
Its Saturday evening and I got a +opk today. Do u think that Wednesday evening is still a viable attempt, or should I try another attempt on Sunday night, which I think then makes it an every 3 day attempt not 4.... not sure what to do???
Any advice is much appreciated :)
Thanks

Sunday evening would be every 4 days so you could wait until then although BD on ovulation tends to be a bit late to give the sperm enough time to get to the egg before it dies.
How old are you and how quick do you want to get pregnant? If you are in more of a hurry I would be tempted to go for it tonight but that would give you two attempts in the fertile window (O-4 and O-1) assuming you ovulated the day after your OPK+ normally.

Sunday evening IS 4 days! If your last attempt was Wednesday then Thursday is 1, Friday is 2, Saturday is 3, and Sunday is 4. I'd have another attempt Sunday. The morning would be 3.5 days which would be fine too (and probably slightly better odds of conception). Don't worry about the FR or Sylk. Not great results anyway. Goodluck :)

Thanks Purple and Covered in Blue.
I really would like the best odds of pink, so don't want to rush it. I am on antibiotics for a tooth infection so Dtd is honestly the last thing I want to do because of tooth ache . I will keep testing with my opks, I will try tomorrow night and hope for the best. I might be too late, but my tooth ache is killing me, so I am a grumpy Mummy/ Wife at the moment.
Thanks for the advice ladies

It is beyond time for you guys to drop FR at this point anyway.
I would personally do an attempt RIGHT AWAY (since this came thru at near midnight my time I only just now saw it). It is time to start gradually increasing odds of conception by dropping some of this stuff.
Have you added in any additional nutrient supplements for yourself?? Are you still having hubby on supplements and if so which???

There is not being in a hurry, wanting best odds of pink, and then there's being on diet since last May and TTC since October. At some point we just HAVE to start relaxing because over the course of time the diet is going to take its toll.

Thanks Atomic - the diet has taken its toll, trying to maintain my weight now, down to 40.3 kgs which is not great. I am taking folic acid only and hubby nothing, he was taking Ole but over time stopped taking it as he hates taking tablets.
I am still 100% veg, sticking to 1500 calories approx, but not tracking it. Didn't get to Dtd on Saturday as my tooth ache is killing me. I will try today (Sunday) although cervix feels low again, but it was high yesterday. I thought I felt O pains this morning, but not too sure. I am at a swim carnival and haven't had a chance to check opk again, will do so around 11am my time and see what it looks like. Cm is creamy again, yesterday I had a sticky blob, so who knows where I am at.
Taking antibiotics and ibruphen for the pain so was hoping O would be delayed.

Oh I feel so sorry for you! You need to up cals right away. You should be doing 1800 at least. Start tracking again for a bit. Some cheat days would be good too. I was where you are the month before we managed to conceive. I had quite a few cheats (even ate some red meat!) and got lucky the next cycle. Remember you have to get pregnant to get your girl otherwise you have no chance. Hope you are feeling better soon xx

Thanks covered in blue. Trying to cheat but it makes me nervous. Then the guilt sets in. What do u think would be the best thing to cheat with? Any suggestions?

Pink Pony - FR isn't recommended for DH's over 40 Hun as can lower his sperm count too much. Sylk can also cut odds of conception so I would drop that too if I was you. It also does sound like you need to fit more calories into your diet. Also, not a great idea to take ibuprofen either if you're trying to conceive. Good luck and I hope you get pregnant with your girl VERY soon. Plus you've just reminded me I need a visit to the dentist before I get pregnant again. Lol! All the best. :)

Pink Pony, how tall are you? Good luck this month! I'd drop anything that impedes conception beyond ~1 attempt (maybe consider BD every 3 days). No Sylk, msybe a little YesBaby sperm friendly lube.

Hi Maiden,
I am only 1.55m tall, so I am short. I guess I am under weight now
I just did another opk at lunch time when I got home from my Son's swim carnival and it is very dark, so I am going to bd tonight. I was telling hubby that we have to bd tonight, can't do it now with kids awake and he says with a massive smile on his face( I released myself this morning) trying to help and follow the rules I had given him and I am like.., oh no!
Oh well, hopefully the second batch has some girls. I felt o pains this morning, so I am feeling confident I am still in with a chance, but won't use any Sylk.

Thanks 1more girl. I know ibuprofen is not great for girls, but I was in such pain. Will try hold off on them and stick to paracetamol tonight rather.
I am going to attemp tonight, hopefully something comes of it. Have a good day

Whatever you are craving really. I had steak, chocolate biscuits, prawns, avocado, chicken, oh and eggs. Can't remember what else. It was a while ago :). Plus it's not a cheat unless you go over LE limits so you have to go over lol.

Sounds good Covered, can't remember when last I had an egg or avo or prawns. I did have some Christmas ham and a mouth full of chicken the other night. Can't wait not to think about what I am eating and just EAT. I love meat, so can't wait to eat normally again

Pinkpony do you temp to confirm o? Both those opks from today in first pic look positive to me - you have an excellent chance with your bd tonight. Get busy, good luck and pink dust :) !!

Thanks Pbn, I don't temp as I have broken sleep, so it's no use. Holding thumbs tonight is the night.

Pink, ibuprofen is fine for pink...it's just that it can potentially inhibit or delay O. But a one off dose is most likely not a big deal.
Since yesterday's OPKs weren't positive, today is your first day of true positive OPKs and most likely you will O tomorrow. So BD tonight should be in time easily. Good luck!

We need to up cals to 1800-2000 right way to get a handle on the weight loss.
I would also like you to add in iodine 150 IU a day, zinc 8-15 mg 3x a week, iron 18-30 mg 3x a week, 200-400 Vit. D 2x a week, and the lowest dose B12 you can find 1x a week. I know it's a lot but you will have depleted your reserves by this point and we need some of these things in order to get and stay pregnant. If that is all just a bit too complicated then find a prenatal or multi that has iodine in it and take 3x a week.

You're not cheating at this poitn, the diet has a cumulative effect over time and what is right the first few months no longer is right after this long.
You should add in 1 serv. full fat dairy every day and 4-6 eggs a week.

I do use it in some cases but it needs to be the first thing to be dropped.

Yes that really is! I'm taller but have had a similar BMI at points and I'm almost always underweight technically anyway, so I understand. Fortunately I don't lose on the LE, probably bc I am bedridden and very inactive.
