DH has to fly somewhere, but we have some flex time as to when. Does it matter if he flies before our attempt next month?

I donīt know, but I can tell you that on the day we conceived DS1 DH and I took a flight in the morning:) I was totally eating a blue-friendly diet though.

I tried to look this up on IG and got two conflicting answers - one said that ions will not affect DH and made it sound like flying didn't sway, but a different thread she said it swayed slightly pink. The weird thing is that they were from the same time period???
Anyway, I do know that fighter pilots have more daughters, and I do know you are exposed to more radiation when flying (slightly) but I don't know whether just day to day flying would sway. I tend to doubt it.

We conceived DS1 a couple of weeks after a long haul flight (each way!) if that helps. I suspect the biggest risk with flying is getting dehydrated and catching a cold!!

Well, it is a one-way 2.5 hr flight, followed by a 16 hour car trip back (he has to go to Seattle to pick up some furniture). I am sort of hoping he won't go until after we dtd in October, but then what if we don't get pg right away... I guess I will have him go when the flight is cheap.

Lol, now that does sound sensible. You're going to need that money for baby stuff!!

DH and I will be both be flying the month of our attempt. I hadn't even thought about it affecting our sway.

TBH I would worry more about the 16 hour car ride than the flight. I would go when it was cheap and not worry because people fly every day and I think if it was a magic bullet, people would have noticed that by now.
PS - not that you should worry about the car ride either, just that I think that's more of a risk to sperm count than the flight. Encourage him to stop and walk around every hour or two to keep things moving.

I can tell you right now there is no way in heck he will do that. He doesn't even want to go get the furniture, anyway. I am kind of forcing him to go. He wants to make the trip as short as possible, so stopping to pee and get gas will be the only stops he will make.
Hmm. I need to rethink this....

I hope we can. I guess it depends on how long it takes me to get pg. The furniture is sort of time sensitive--it was left to me by my uncle when he passed away, and we have to have it out of the house once it sells. But who knows how long that will take?

Furniture is expensive though!!! I wonder if you can put something in his water bottle that will make him have to pee a lot! (only half-kidding haha!)
Seriously though, I think it will be fine. I know several truckers who have all boys.
