I am mum to non id twin boys. We want to ttc a girl to complete our family but I have an auto immune condition.
I've heard that it can really sway boy.
I feel really deflated and lost.
I was confused with the girl sway anyway and now I feel there is no hope for us having a daughter.
Please can you help?

Many women on her with auto-immune conditions successfully swayed pink. Many women with AI have girls WITHOUT swaying, including myself (my last pregnancy was B/G twins). You should absolutely sway.

Hi Rebecca, please don't feel hopeless or deflated, we get good results with our methods for everyone including those with autoimmune.
We discuss things that may sway blue or pink so we can figure out the ways to help people sway most effectively, but that doesn't mean that you cannot have a girl. Everyone can have a girl or a boy!!

Curious as to why women with AI issues sway boy? Where are people hearing this? What source? I developed a rare AI condition with both my pregnancies but don't have it when I'm not pregnant.
Would be interested in hearing a little more information on this....

We don't know, but it's my observation after talking to thousands of women both online and IRL and reading tons of studies where they were trying to prove timing or hormones or minerals swayed blue but they were all done in women with other health conditions, usually autoimmune disorders like Hashimotos
Unfortunately, no one is really interested in studying this stuff except the handful of people trying to prove that their timing/hormone/mineral diet works so we gots ta work with what we can, namely our own observations.

I have also personally noticed a very significant trend on Fertility Friend based on hundreds of women. Maybe nearing a thousand. ;)

:agree: this is one of those things I'd love to have a billion dollars and an army of grad students to check into.

MM...I'm assuming this trend is for women who have pre-existing autoimmune issues when TTC? Not those of us who develop them as a result of pregnancy?
Have either of you noticed any specific types of AI conditions that especially seem to sway blue.
My co-worked has rheumatoid arthritis and has a boy and a girl, I know of a woman (wife of one of my DH friends) who has hypothyroidism and she is pregnant with a girl.

What you have to understand is that many women are on medications that also may sway so it's not as clear cut as you might think.
I personally see an overwhelming trend with PCOS (which isn't really autoimmune) RA, IBSand Hashimoto's being more blue friendly. Many of us boy moms also are plagued with allergies and eczema (this includes me) Also get a lot of random disorders with my pink custom swayers as well (like Sjogrens, lupus) but happily have not had enough to draw trends.
I do not have the data to say if autoimmune that only develops during pregnancy would be affiliated with more boys. My guess is possibly, because my assumption (probably wrong) is that when a gal is in very good condition, her body has the ability to get really "revved up" and thus would be at a higher state of alert and could even potentally attack itself. Whereas someone more run down, in worse condition, may not be as bothered by autoimmune disorders because the immune system doesn't have the energy.
PLEASE ladies, don't take the speculation as gospel. We like to talk about these things because we're trying to figure out how this all works. NO ONE should make a decision about TTC based on this speculation!!
