So I'm currently around 13 weeks pregnant after swaying for a girl, but it's looking very much like this will be another boy, and the more I look into my sway, the less surprised I am. I was on the LE diet from June to November with a few weeks off due to a loss in October, but unable to exercise because I was losing weight too quickly (125 to 112 in my time on the diet. As I'm reading through successful sways, I'm seeing most women at 1200-1500 calories a day (and a lot at less than that), who are somehow managing to also exercise an hour a day and have 2-3 drinks of alcohol and stay under their calories for the day. I've still been tracking my normal diet since I got pregnant, and eating without looking at nutrition, my normal calorie intake is 2100, 60g protein and 55-65g fat. During the LE, I was at 1700 calories, 50-60g protein and usually 60g fat. I never had enough calories left to drink any alcohol, and I was still starving most nights when I went to bed. I'm trying to mentally prepare to sway again really hard pretty much as soon as this baby is born, but I feel like I'll never be able to get the calories down that low and still function. It's just discouraging to think I may never get a daughter, all because my basal metabolic rate is just too high :(

I look at your profile picture and your boys are adorable :)
Regarding your new baby, wait and see...the calories intake it's not really a fact that sways boy, so dont panic!
Do you have any scans from doctor ultrasound yet?

What is a home blood test?
You mean the Panorama?

No, it's called "SneakPeek". You do a blood draw at home from a finger stick, send the lab .5ml of blood in a sterile tube, and they look for the Y chromosome. They claim 99% accuracy and even have a money back guarantee if it's wrong.

I understand how u feel. I am currently on the le diet and I too am struggling big time with keeping calories down. I am so hungry and weak if I don't eat more than the normal calories most are on. If I wasn't exercising i might be able for less but the exercise leaves me so hungry.
I would say though that the home blood tests are known to be wrong so you could still have your little girl. Fingers crossed for u.

I ate between 800 and 1200 daily and get 70-80 cardio each day. For me it was a succesfull sway.
I desperatly wanted a girl and DID everything but it was sure not healthy! I know that.
I saw great sways with opposite result and couldnt explain it either...I think in the end, just as I wrote in my sway, what is meant to be is meant to be..you can do everything and still get the other gender...I saw girls that did a few things for just a few weeks and got their girl...so, you never know.....
I really hope this is your girl.

What I really struggle with is that to not be shaky and unable to even get off the couch to interact with my boys, I find I need 600-800 calories per MEAL, let alone per day. And that's not even exercising at all, just my daily living. When I was trying to do the exercise, 60 minutes of stationary bike, I was having to sleep for 4-5 hours in the afternoon because I was so weak at 1500 calories. My husband is an exercise physiologist and has done body composition analysis for me before and just for my body to stay alive, I need 1340 calories a day. And that's if I was completely comatose, only my essential systems (breathing, cardiac function, etc). I'm 5'3", a 20 bmi and less than 21% body fat. I've never watched my weight, just always ate when I was hungry, and I've always been around 120lbs when I wasn't pregnant. To survive on 1000 calories I feel like I'd need to be like 4'0" :(

I have some thoughts/ideas for you, but I really think we should see how your sway pans out first. If its a 3rd boy, update us here and I'll post.
I am even thinner than you with an even higher metabolism (in terms of how much I can eat per day without gaining weight) and I don't lose weight on the LE the way I do it. The ratios of carbs, fat and protein are CRUCIAL for me, and I suspect they are for you too. How and when I eat matter greatly, too.
I think 99.9% of women can successfully sway pink, if not all. You can do this if you haven't already.
Fx you have a girl in there!

Has2 and poppy, I do not want ANYONE eating 800-1200 cals a day. I don't approve of it, never have, never will, and do not ever want anyone dropping that low. AS for those doing 1200-1500, that is like 5% or less of the people that need to be that low (very petite people who only eat like 1800 anyway, those with PCOS, ladies with more than 50 lbs to lose, or as a temporary boost for a few days if a person plateaus. Don't worry about what most are doing, do the actual DIET because I can assure you I couldn't get out of bed at 800 cals a day and I did get a girl eating much more than that (I wasn't tracking after the first couple weeks but I'd be shocked if I wasn't at 1800-2000 most of the time) and NOT exercising so it is possible.
I agree with babygirlquest we see it pretty evidently that swaying even at its best is making opposites about 20-25% of the time. It very well may be the upward limit and that is all we can get (because if this was 100% then we'd have died out the first time there was a famine). So you can do the ideal sway for you (not "perfect" sway, because I actually think that "perfect" sways make more opposites) and then just not have the cards fall your way. In that case it is TOTALLY possible to do nothing any different than the last time and get a girl doing it.
My understanding is the at home blood tests are not 99% and also that they can be contaminated by the DNA just floating around in the bathroom LOL so I would not give up hope just yet.

:agree: and newer studies are showing that the whole "2000 cals" idea is bogus anyway and many women need more like 2500-3000 to be active, more like 3500-4000 for men!

dont lose heart has2, I know my sway was really quite weak, I didnt end up following very strictly at all. But my harmony test says girl. There is always a chance you've got your girl snuggled in there. And as far as the blood test goes, I spoke to the lady at Sullivan Nicolaides who took my blood for the harmony test, and she said it is extremely easy to accidentally contaminate a sample that is taken at home, so FX for you that your result is different xoxox
