View Full Version : CD 8 lining too thick?
Princess Mom

Today I had an ultrasound done due to me spotting last cycle, this cycle I have no spotting.
I'm on cd 8 I do have a left ovary cyst one which doesn't effect me getting pregnant, I do get them a lot I had them with most of my pregnancies.
Doctor says my lining seems to be a little too thick for cd 8 I'm waiting for her to call me back on the measurement, she said she couldn't see if something was on my lining because it was thicken, so if I'm not pregnant she will do another ultrasound with water? To see if there are plyops on my lining or not, I'm really scared and sad, I always get pregnant quickly. This will be only my 2nd month trying I'm not sure why this is happening I did have miscarriage back in October and maybe had a chemical in Janaury not for sure though.
She also suggested progesterone but said better off doing ultrasound because that will cause another period? I'm just confused

I'm confused too Princess. I had to take progesterone with both my pregnancies to sustain them because the lining of my uterus was too thin (the doctor said it was being on the pill for a long time). I sure hope you find out the answers that you need.

Me too my parents and sisters are also freaking out lol we are googling, I am calling in morning, just doesn't make sense to me to wait a whole another cycle to do a saline ultrasound to determined whether or not I have polyp

You're only on CD 8-9? That lining is fine thickness wise. Polyps can prevent implantation. You likely haven't ovulated since it is so early in your cycle.
Bleeding can be caused by low estrogen or polyps. A saline sonohystogram will show if your uterus looks normal
How is your BMI?
Princess Mom

Bmi 18 low, thank you for responding in loosing my mind!
Doc said she doesn't want to do saline sono this cycle, it will be hard to see since I'm cd 9 and doesn't want to interfere if I become pregnant this cycle.
I'm schedule for next month :(
This cycle no spotting and cm is back to normal having a lot of it.
I'm in denial of this polyp, I was pregnant in January but had early mc few days after bfp. I'm just sitting here thinking, now if I don't become pregnant this cycle, I can't next cycle due to the texting so that another two whole months being vegetarian. I feel like dropping my sway,
This is only my 2nd month ttc but been on diet since November
My weight s around 110-110 at 5"5

MC is common. Why are you freaking out after just one month?
Princess Mom

Due to me might having pylops

Nobody has said you have polyps! It's not time to freak out yet and it is easily dealt with if you do.

Thanks lol I know I panic way too quickly!!! I need to stop googling

Princess, I always answer posts from oldest to newest so when you bump them after only a day or so, it goes back up to newest and actually takes me LONGER to answer.
I know it sounds scary but polyps and fibroids are not uncommon and are really no cause for alarm. The doctor just wants to err on the side of caution and get everything checked out.
Since estrogen causes them to grow faster they may want to try the progesterone to see if it shrinks (if anything is even there)

:agree: Trust me, you always have plenty of time to worry when you know you have a reason to.
Polyps are NO big deal. They come out really easily if one is even there which it may not even be.

Re your diet, it makes NO SENSE to now throw up your hands and say "I'll give up my sway". Just relax till you are happy with waht you are eating. It is not a light switch wher you have to do everything exactly or you may as well do nothing, it is FINE to ease back to a place where you can maintain in months you can't actevely TTC.

Thanks atomic you always put my mind at ease,
I was just panicking and realized, hey I'm healthy I actually gained around 3 pounds. From upping my calories I was way behind in calories. Still low bmi but, I think I'm fine where I'm at. And thought to myself, I'm fine my diet fine why change it after doing it for almost 12 weeks, I can't give up! Especially since we don't even know for sure if I have polyps, maybe they will go away if I don't get pregnant this cycle with my new af.
My sisters are helping me get thru this awful time, I admit I been crying for the past 3 days. Doctor did say I can still try this month, and if I become pregnant I shouldn't worry. I just HATE the waiting game.
Thanks again I will update you if I either get a bfp or find out after I have the saline ultrasound next cycle.

Doc said to wait and try this month rather then do progesterone and waste this cycle. I agreed and rather do the ultrasound to see what really is there or not.

I just had a polyp removed today. I was havig a lot of irregular bleeding and spotting. My lining was also very thick. It's to early to say if its helped but it does seem to have been the cause of these problems.

Hope it helped you!
Doctor just called me and told me once we do the saline sono next cycle if there is a polyp she will remove it next cycle no waiting, so I'm so glad! She also told me she doesn't know for sure if it is a polyp, she said she was reviewing ultrasound thinks there might be left over tissue from my miscarriage. Either or she is going to remove it next cycle, if I don't get pregnant this cycle. She also said next cycle my lining might be normal. It is normal not thick just seemed something was on it but won't know for sure.
She also said I should try this month and if I get pregnant we won't need to do saline sono.
I have no spotting this month, I did last cycle, also my ovulation test always were dark last month and just a weird cycle.
I'm on cd 11 and first day of flashy smile so I will BD every other day

Boy I'm not sure I'd recommend TTC if there is any chance of retained tissue, Princess. My concern would be you may end up jeopardizing a future pregnancy if you conceive with retained tissue.

I know I was thinking the same I don't wanna lose another pregnancy.
But I'm sticking to my diet and glad if a polyp is there she can remove it same

They originally thought I had a piece of calcified retained placenta left from a previous pregnancy but when she got in there it was a polyp. It was all removed.

Can I ask what you think it could be???
The reason I ask this is I understand the tendency to jump to the worst case scenario but virtually all of them in women of childbearing age are benign.
Plus, you don't even know you have one.

Honestly I have no clue, I mean I been researching polyps, and sometimes they form from high levels of estrogen? Maybe from my taking birth control only one month? I don't have anymore spotting this new cycle.
I did read being low on vitamins etc, honestly I don't eat fruit or veggie or drink milk I just never did and don't like it. I think I gained a pound or two.
I also had ovulation pain for around 4 days! And none today and today I'm most likely ovulating based on my chart, I thought I did yesterday but temp dip today.
I don't think it can even be left over tissue, I mean why wouldn't I have hcg in my system then?
I'm praying it isn't anything.
My grandmother said she had polyps when she was young and she had them removed. been trying not to think of it so much. My father told me not to stress over something I am not in control of.

It is certainly not something I'd have my whole family involved with and be sitting around cryng over. Trust me, there will be time enough to worry when something is actually wrong.
I cannot say anything from here to shed any light on what is happening.

To start off - STOP googling information on the Internet and reading about things because it just makes you worry needlessly. Just take the other ladies' advice, relax and continue diet and ttc. What will be will be. Good luck

15 at 11dpo I actually start to bleed more than spot just an hour guess it's better that it's happening early rather than later. Going to ask my doc about doing saline ultrasound next week to see if there is actually polyps there or not and have them removed. I really think she should of told me it can cause miscarriage she said I should still try, I told her I do get pregnant quickly and I did now I'm just sad.

Update had another ultrasound after my m/c 8 days after hcg was 2 my lining was 5mm no polyps no thickened lining. Still have left demroid cyst , doc thinks I had it since 2006 since I had it with every pregnancy. I do have very small nabothian cyst near cervix , doc said its harmless and they come and go.
She said I can still have saline ultrasound, but everything looks good. She says also, polyp or thickened lining was shedded with the early pregnancy, and stated I shouldn't have an issue when I become pregnant again.
Just hopes it fast :)
