Both FR and abstain have gotten about the same results.
I mainly just use FR for those over 35, abstain for those under 35.
Never abstain longer than 10 days.

Ok, we are both 30. Do you think we would have better luck with hubby fr himself then have him release on the day and DTD after that? Just one attempt but him releasing twice in one day? I'm so nervous and can't pick one

FR is really hard. It's harder than people think. So I tend to favor abstain for ease of use and stress relief for anyone who can do it.
Don't have hubby release 2x in one day with FR. That is just 1x a day and then day of attempt you use only that one release. 2x proved to be too low chances of conception.
OR, you can have him do regular release every 2-4 days and then on day of attempt, have him release once, dump it, then DTD as soon as he's able to (within 1-3 hours if possible) using only second batch for attempt. That is called "hurry up FR".
But DON'T put the two together. It cuts odds too far.

Thanks so much atomic, do you believe that for ttc a girl this is the main game changer other than diet? Why am I finding it so hard to choose think its because we DTD from AF for our last baby (a boy) but I hadn't changed diet a lot and was taking calcium and magnesium.
Hubby could manage every couple of days then twice on cut off day but abstain would be a lot easier and stress free.

DTD every day is NOT the same as FR or abstain plus one attempt.
Most of us on here got BOYS with cal-mag, that's why we were all looking for a different kind of diet. I got my girl without taking cal-mag and without eating much dairy after 4 boys eating tons of dairy and with 3 and 4 i was taking cal mag.
I do NOT think that FR vs. abstain is a game changer!! Neither one has gotten good results and I think it's one of those things that probably does little to nothing.

I'm going to take folic acid and cranberry and hopefully purchase a meal planner I've never been a big dairy fan and have two boys although I did supp last boy so who knows. Do you think these two supps alone are ok for a little lady?

I don't like anyone to use cranberry for DW as I do not think it's safe.
WE are getting great results with alcohol for swaying (both DH and DW) and we recommend it!

Hi MissGabby
im currently only taking folic acid. Will only be ttc girl in a couple of months though. DH not taking anything at the mo. We will try fr and one attempt at +OPK. What supps were you thinking for your DH?

I think cranberry sways blue in women and I'd never recommend taking it and drinking alcohol regularly, as both of them have blood thinning effects.
I don't think DH's releasing habits sway much if at all, so I'd do whatever makes you both happy and just focus one well timed attempt.

I recommend supps with a sway plan.
I do not have the data without the questionnaire that comes with the plan, to recommend any supps to anyone.
