So, I am CD19 and this is the first time I have got a faint line on my OPK. I know this doesn't mean it's positive, but I'm wondering if it means my body is gearing up to O soon? I had this faint result at 7am this morning. My DH gets home from an overseas trip tonight, around 10:30pm. Should we BD then? Im just afraid that I'll get a positive OPK first thing tomorrow morning, and by the time we get around to BD-ing late tomorrow night we will have missed the egg. What should I do? Just wait for a strong positive result?

It could be.
I would NOT have you BD tonight (except just for fun!) with a light OPK.
Do you have more strips? Is there any way to test now to see if it's positive?? (depending on your test you can use it later in the day)
Normally I say when in doubt BD, but that is usually when people are getting quite dark tests that just aren't positive. A totally light test even with a line, that could go on for days.
Of course it is absolutely possible to DTD anyway and then just see what happens, you'd be covered for a couple days and would not have to do another attempt. If you get a positive in 3 days, I'd prob. have another attempt.

Hi atomic, I have plenty of strips left thankfully. I'm in Aus, so 10:30 tonight is still 14 hours away (it's 8am now) so maybe I'll do another opk tonight and see if it's changed? If not, I'll leave the BD for another night, if it's gotten darker maybe we should just go for it? 😂 With DH I'm not allowed to tell him when we are BD-ing for fun or for baby making (otherwise he gets performance anxiety 😁) so it would seem less suss for him if we were to BD upon his return for a trip haha!

Try testing around 3pm. I almost never get true positive OPKs and I often don't get much warning; my OPKs often have a light line for weeks before I suddenly get a dark line. I also only ever get dark lines from testing between 11am and 5pm. Outside that window my OPKs are always light if not stark white.

OK so DH and I DTD last night when he got home at 11pm because he probably won't be home tonight. Anyway today at 11am I got a clear positive OPK. So 12 hours after we DTD. Is this timing OK do you think? I'm not considering another attempt, just looking for reassurance that we are in with a chance this month 😉

Yes you're in with a good chance of conception and one attempt. :agree:
