I use essential oils to help with everyday health. I'm pretty good at taking care of common health concerns with oils (colds, allergies, tummyaches, stress, etc). But I'm not as familiar with oils that might help with a sway. Has anyone read or heard or experienced anything with essential oils and swaying?

Good to know! And I love lavender, so that's even better :)

Any others?
Also, do you know if it should be used aromatically? Or should it also be applied topically to reflex points? And if used topically, should it be used for both DH and DW?

I don't have a list on me, but you could do a search for oils that emit negative ions when they are burned....there's quite a few. I think I saw a list on IG or maybe on a sticky here. Maybe try a search. Personally, I burned Lavander with Orange during my sway. I'm not sure topical use would have the same effect in terms of ions.

Thanks Sassy! I have a few essential oil reference books. One of them listed some oils to use for negative ions. I'll have to pull it out again in the morning and review which oils it recommended.

Sassy- I've never heard of burning essential oils. Can you tell me a little more about this?
Thanks,

I've never heard of burning them either. I've been using a lavender bath milk containing essential oils, and diffusing some lavender in my ionising air purifier

Oh burning them is the best!!! You need an oil burner with a tea light candle underneath. You can buy them in heaps of places - I've even seen them in my supermarket. You place a few drops of the oil in the top of the burner and then fill it with boiling water. The steam sends the oil and its properties into the air and the tealight candle keeps the water warm so this process continues. I find it so effective for so many different things - my mood changes and my house smells amazing!

When you burn essential oils, that ALWAYS releases positive ions because the smoke has pos ions in it. Regardless of what kind they are, they release pos ions when they burn.

Ok, that's not "burning" them in the way that I have seen it referred to. I think that's "diffusing" them or something like that??

Alexis, please don't take this the wrong way but are you a spammer?? Some of your posts are coming off like you are here to sell something. If you're a spammer, your account is just going to get deleted once it becomes obvious so you may as well save your time.

I am really hoping this works! I am a massage therapist and used lavender on a daily basis! And out of the 4 of us massage therapists at work we all had boys!

I have purchased the 100% lavender essential oil and have been adding it to my cleaning/mop solution that I clean the house with and also putting it on my pulse points...is this correct?
I also planted some English lavender in the garden and it has since died...not a good sign - lol!

I have no idea what the "right" way is to use the oils. I don't believe in that aspect of swaying and since I'm pressed for time I tend to focus my energy on what I think actually works or stopping people from doing things that sway in the wrong direction. Lavender is probably neutral so I don't pay it much attention.
