Hi ladies!
As if having to wait for the results for 2 weeks after the blood draw wasn't enough, I was told I have to repeat the test because there was not enough fetal DNA in the sample😡!!! It's hard to believe it since I did the test at 11+weeks in order for the sample to have enough fetal DNA. Now I have bad thoughts that maybe they found any abnormalities and they want to repeat the test before giving the results. I don't know what to think, I'm a nervous wreck.... Has the same thing happened to anyone in here and if yes were the results ok in the end???? I now have to wait again at least 10 days and this time I also ha e to deal with my worries about the baby and if there is anything wrong.....

I can't change the title for some reason... The test is panorama (I'm sure most got it despite the typo)

Yes I've seen this happen several times. It's not uncommon in very overweight women, in particular, though there can be other reasons for low fetal DNA %. I've never seen a link with bad results; there's no reason to be concerned about that. It's NOT bc they found abnormalities and want to repeat the test. It's bc literally can't do the test without enough fetal DNA. The Panorama is the best test of its type. Fx for good results soon.

Thank you maiden. I hope you are right. I'm just so frustated cause they e-mailed the Dr 2 weeks after the blood draw when normally they know before they begin testing if the DNA is enough. I just can't take the wait anymore.... Anyway thanks again and hope you get your BFP very soon!!!

That's awful that they waited so long! I wonder if maybe they simply delayed telling you, as they figured it would take a few weeks anyway for enough fetal DNA to build up? It still doesn't excuse them not notifying you immediately though. You're not in Australia or NZ are you? The turnaround time should be less than 2 weeks in ost of the US and Western Europe.

I would be wondering if they lost your sample or mishandled it

I live in Greece. Dr informed me it would take 3 days for the sample to reach the lab and then minimum 7 working days untill results.. Anyway I can't do anything about it....

It took us 28 days for the results, but thankfully the test came back negative for abnormalities!
