View Full Version : Review my new sway plan please?

Ok so after our tragic loss, we want to jump right back in. I'd love some input on my sway.

I did conceive a daughter last time, I was sick, taking coq10, royal jelly, selenium, zinc, folic, b's and vit c. I know less nutrients, but I'm old and have had bad egg quality that wouldn't even hold a pregnancy. It was also one attempt, but I couldn't tell I was O'ing at the time so I have no idea of the cut off, being sick made it all messed up. I was on a strict diet before, not low cal but no wheat or sugar of any kind (not even the sugar from milk) I was still eating cheese tho! I was also doing about 1 hr of cardio 5 days a week. I was drinking a lot of caffinated tea, which I won't be doing this time.

SO, in light of conceiving a girl after all that and wanting so badly to get my little girl again, I'm scared to take all the supps I was on but also know my egg quality was bad.

DH wants to wait 3 months. He thinks if I am in better health and fitness pregnancy will go better and I will have less difficulties. I'm of average BMI and health, on no meds (aside from the pain meds recently from my surgery) and in general good health. I told him the best chance for a DD was in the first cycle after the mc, but he told me NO WAY.

So I am going to take all the supps I was previously on, I'm cycling 1 hr a day 5 days a week and doing weights (it's his deal, or he won't ttc). I'm taking aspirin and psyillium fibre and thinking about adding in cranberry (but noticed the coq10 thins blood so not sure if I should?) Can't drink mint tea as it may mess my precarious thyroid that isn't considered problematic but seems sluggish. I'm doing a detox, just to get rid of all the chemicals from surgery etc and the drugs I've taken since. And, I'm losing weight currently. I have no appetite whatsoever, so it's a bit easier.

My diet is no wheat or sugar and avoiding most dairy. I eat brown rice bread, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, egg whites, chicken, apples, cranberries and brown rice cereal (this is small cut brown rice that you boil and I add a scoop of protien powder and cranberries and cinnamon to). It's a very limited diet. I occasionally eat other veggies like carrots and parsnips etc, but I find it easier if I just repeat meals. I don't eat the ceral for brkfast, I skip brkfast and usually eat 3 hours after I get up.

Does any of this sound like a disaster in terms of swaying pink?

The other odd ball thing, my hubby has ordered me a special amino acid that increases growth hormone because he thinks it will improve my egg quality and help my hormones overall. Who knows how that will sway, but I can only imagine blue! Scares me!

I understand he wants me to be strong and healthy before we TTC again, but I also feel this will strongly sway blue. Im not sure what to do about it. He won't ttc unless I'm in better shape. Not that I'm in bad shape--I'd say after my 3 months of morning sickness and 1 month of bedrest I am just in very average shape now! He has it in his head it may prevent tragedy from striking again though, and he has gone through so much I can't argue with him.

Also, I have no idea about the timing aspect but know I got my one dd from a 3 day cut off and multiple attempts (like 3 x a day on a vacation). Any suggestions on timing and cut off? I have read so much, I have been reading this site and before ingender for so many years, I reviewed all the sway info again but I feel overwhelmed.

Thoughts please?

I want to get a bfp asap and try to heal the hurt in my heart, but I also want the best possible outcome for my pregnancy. I do not want to suffer a late loss like this again!

Thanks ladies :)

We have had good luck with gluten free diets for pink so if that worked for you before then that is what I'd do again.

I know I've mentioned this before but taking all that stuff doesn't really help egg quality (there are millions of women on infertility websites desperately wishing that they did but they don't). It can shoot you in the rear because they can mess up your cycle and delay ovulation as well. I would just get a good prenatal and take it 3x a week. Coq10 is fine though and you should continue that daily. :agree: that is the one thing you're taking that may actually help with egg quality and we've had lots of pink swayers use it successfully.

Timing isn't working. What is working is every 4 days and that is what I would recommend for you. Just DTD unprotected every 4 days (once) and that is getting us about 75% right now. (same as TTC after a loss.)

No one can control losses, unfortunately. It wasn't anything you did or didn't do, or take or didn't take. It was just bad luck, unfortunately. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope I can help in some way.

What is the amino acid?? These things just don't work most of them and they cause side effects that may even LOWER your odds of conception. I understand the temptation to take this that and the other thing but they are all medications with side effects that we don't even KNOW and time after tiem after time I see the best results when I get people OFF the 11 herbs and spices approach and just doing what works.

The two things we know help are coq10 and upping Folate to 2000 mcg. That's what I would recommend. If you want more than that, then do the prenatal 3x a week.

I really, really want to urge against you taking aspirin (unless advised by doctor) and the cranberry. Our results show they don't work and both of them have severe side effects. We have only gotten better results since we've moved away from them.

They have started recommending PQQ and NAC along with ubiquinol at my clinic. Supposed to up your egg quality. Two successful pregnancies from previous cycle buddies in the last 4 months! First time pregnancies for both, after MANY IVF cycles.

Thanks Atomic. I will wean off the aspirin. I was on it with my progesterone. Made the RE happy. I will cut back on the other crap too then. I cant stand taking handfuls of crap.

I guess I just need time to get over it, your kindness is appreciated. Hugs.

Thanks Anchor. Whats pqq? I took nac for a while and still have some. I use that coq10, better for old ladies like me ;)

I wish I was still in calgary. I got so much better care there. I need a good ob before the next one, and I need an US they cant do here. I got a uterine infection and they think I have retained placental tissue and need another d&c!!!! I have to wait till Monday for the US and go to cranbrook. So ticked off!

My only concerns with these is that I HAVE seen plenty of gals have successful sways on coq10, and I can't totally sign off on these for swaying. I don't like to sign off on anything unless I"ve seen quite a few people and the genders they conceived on them.

I didn't know we were neighbors!! from down south.

It's something that I recommend sometimes for egg quality especially for ladies over 35. I do not have anyone just take it to sway pink (and in fact I have people take it for blue sways sometimes too). When used with a pink friendly diet it should help a pink sway. When used with blue friendly diet it should help improve egg quality.
