Has anyone conceived from BD on O day/day after O, with confirmed O?

Due to my donor being away I was only able to inseminate the morning of O and the morning after. Unfortunately I messed up on O day and the semen just pooled around my opening before falling out, so I know I probably have no shot.

I was a naughty pink swayer and looked through over a 1000 FF pregnancy charts that supposely resulted from O day or O+1 BD. Only 2 of these charts had the correct O day marked IMO. 2 other charts may have been accurate but there was missing data. ALL other charts, O was clearly assigned prematurely, often by several days.

So has anyone actually gotten pregnant from this timing who is sure of O, via thorough charting or better yet ultrasound/bloodwork confirmation? I'm thinking it's basically impossible based on my 'research'.

There were a couple of studies done on timing of BD in relation to O and the percentage of pregnancies that resulted. The day of O was determined by BBT with one study and with estrogen to progesterone ratio in the other. An attempt on O day has lesser odds of pregnancy than O-1 or O-2 but still better odds than O-3. It's not a perfect study by any means and I'm unsure if couples only DTD once in the fertile window, but it may help give you an idea.

From what I understand it takes about 12(?) hours for sperm to capacitate so if you inseminated in the morning and didn't O until that night, there's still a good chance. Really I think any attempt in the fertile window gives you a chance but I know it's easy to feel discouraged. I hope this is the month you finally get a BFP. :)

I did with a prior pregnancy I miscarried. I had sex on the morning of O day and O'd in the evening. DH had been on a business trip so no sex for a week prior. I'm certain my dates were correct too by charting (CM, CP, BBT). I had no expectation of getting pregnant that cycle since for me I've pretty much always needed sex at O-1 to conceive.

I agree totally with your analysis and had also observed the same thing back on IG. A lot of the people who said they got "boys on O day" didn't even DTD that day or else they didn't have a temp on one of the days that cast the whole thing in doubt.

I got a bfp this month and I dtd on o night.Obviously I don't know exactly when I ovulated. But I'm guessing evening bc cramping stopped, it could be the next am as well. I didn't temp.

Cramping doesn't tell you when you Oed. It can stop before O, or carry on for days after O.
