I've been avoiding alcohol but have seen the stats for actually drinking are amazing. I enjoy any alcohol - gin and tonic, scotch and coke, red wine, white wine, champagne, cocktails. What seems to work best from results you have seen? Do spirits block nutrient absorption the most? Is that what people think sways? My father in law is staying with us at the moment and every night he offers me a drink :-) Is it too late to worry about when I want to try this month? I have been dieting since January.

I have been drinking white wine. I prefer red but I was worried red is too full of antioxidants! But I don't know. I swear I read somewhere that it didn't seem to matter what type of alcohol! I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be on soon :)

We don't know other than alcohol seems to sway pink. There is no "magic" alcoholic drink that sways, we just know that the stats show alcohol has good results. Quite a few pink swayers have rum, vodka, wine or beer. My drink of choice is usually vodka and seltzer but I often have white or blush wine too. I think it's fine to have whatever you like though because when swaying it's important to actually like what you're drinking/eating. :)

Anecdotal, but I conceived my daughter ONLY drinking either dry red wines (like chianti) or craft beer (so unfiltered, nutrient heavy beer). I was very rarely a liquor drinker or "sweet" alcohol drinker.
And I can not emphasize enough just how much craft beer I tended to drink before pregnancy... lots of summer beer fests we were going to, lol!
For what it's worth: I had a VERY LE diet and lifestyle otherwise, so this might be a case of "how are other areas looking for your sway?" If you're struggling with keeping calories down and/or exercising, maybe stick to the "conventionally" recommended alcohols. But, I think the regularity of alcohol intake seems to be the bigger factor than perhaps the nutrient content (although I know red wine specifically can raise HDL, and I know lower cholesterol in general is more pink, according to some early findings I've just discovered myself on this board!)

I hesitate to guess at why the alcohol sways because I find that then people seize upon the "guess" hypothetical reasoning and NOT just doing what actually works. I will just stick with the standard "lowered fertility seems to sway pink".
We don't know what types of alcohol are better than another and I think you should have what you like. I had light beer with my successful sway.

We started off thinking that stuff like nutrients in red wine might possibly sway blue, but our experiences have shown very clearly that it's the macronutrients (cals, protein, and fat) that are really getting the job done and worrying about things like red vs. white wine and peeling all fruits and veg to possibly remove nutrients doesn't seem to help at all. Just let go of those things.
Have whatever type of alcohol you like. Feel free to switch it up

Anecdotal too, but I drank a pint of cider every night before conceiving my dd.
Three beautiful boys and my longed-for DD due in June 2016!

Just an aside Americans, but cider is really quite good, if you don't like beer or wine or spirits, give it a try, it's like a whole different thing. I've had the Redd's and the Angry Orchard kinds and they're available in most grocery stores.
(Cider is new to a lot of us uncouth Yanks LOL)

In the uk bulmers is big! I am loving the daily wine to be honest. Today is my cheat day. I am allowing myself one a month around 2dpo. Still no breakfast but an amazing dinner of whatever I fancy and not monitoring fat or protein for the day. (But probably exceeding)
