View Full Version : Losing weight before TTC- anything else in the meantime?

I have two boys, and plan to TTC next year. I have a lot of weight to lose- at least 40 lbs in addition to the 15 I've lost since the beginning of January. I'm not following the LE diet right now, and I'm actively avoiding pregnancy. Other than getting down to a healthier weight, is there anything else I could/should be doing long term?

Go vegetarian, eat only 2-3 meals daily, stop snacking.

If you can lose the weight on a vegetarian diet that's great. But not everyone can, so if you need to include more animal protein for now then that is ok.
I also think that you may be better off eating smaller meals more than 2-3 times a day, if that helps you get the weight off. TTC next year is a ways away and if you find you lose more easily on 5 small meals a day, I'd do that for now.
Exercise will also help with sway and weight loss.
