View Full Version : Supplements and tea question please help

I have been on IG for a couple months following their diet and supplements. After reading some posts on here I'm confused what I should be taking.
These are what I'm taking at the moment:
Everyday:Folic acid-800mcg
AF-OV: Calcium citrate + vit D-500mg/200iu(twice a day so total Cal=1000mg,Vit D=400IU for the day)
AF-OV: Magnesium citrate 200mg(twice a day at the same time as the Cal so 400mg for the day)
Week of OV: Cranberry 8400mg fruit equivalent(2-3 times a day)
Week of OV: Great Value brand sugar free drink mix with aspartame(Walmart)

Are these ok? Should I change or add anything? For the drink mix I noticed a lot of people drink Crystal Light instead. Is CL better or is the one I drink just as good?

Also about the tea. I found an organic peppermint green tea and just a peppermint tea are either of those ok? Should DH drink the tea? Does it lower his testosterone at all?

I like you guys on 1200-1600 mcg of folic just because most of us are eating more restricted diets. Your body just will pee out any excess.

While I personally don't think cal-mag sway pink, if you wish to use them it's up to you. I strongly advise finding calcium without Vit. D as we have found Vit. D to be a strong blue swayer. or use Tums if you can't find Cal without D. That's a lot of magnesium, are you having stomach issues (diarrhea) I prefer no more than 200 mg for ladies max.

I do not believe cranberry is safe at that dose and if you use it I would not take that amount. I'd limit to one a day and stop at O, not after O.

Any aspartame is fine, I doubt it does anything tho

Both are ok for DH with the tea. I would not use the green tea for you, and if you do want to use pep tea do from AF-O only.
