When is it safe to have sex normally after the one attempt on the fertile window? I ov on day 12 or 13 but am too scared to do it normally (I.e. position of our choosing and both orgasm) for a week afterwards just in case the opks are wrong!
Also Q about position. We have been doing missionary but DH has always been trying to shallow release in the vagina, which he finds difficult. Do we need to do this or is missionary position enough?

You're ok 4-5 days later. The fertile period is very short (4 days) so there is no worry about conceiving after that. You can wait a full week but I really don't think you need to.
DH and I tried shallow release for about 4 months a few years ago (that, along with timing was the only swaying tactic I had ever heard of at the time) and I didn't get pregnant. I feel like it must really lower the odds of conception b/c prior to that we had conceived our 2 boys on the first try. If you are using anything to lower your cm, shallow release will really decrease your odds of conceiving. I'm sure I just read the other day that shallow release hasn't been shown to get more girls. Maybe just try jumping and dumping after 5 minutes.

I think it's fine after you've had 3 days of temp rise (or 4-5 days to be on safe side if not temping)
Shallow release has never been proven to add anything at all and does really cut odds. I no longer recommend it to anyone.
Technically women are supposed to avoid O as much as possible for as long as possible when TTC. BUT i really doubt this makes any difference and it does keep your hubby a lot happier (and you too haha)
