Has anyone had a faint positive at 7dpo but a significantly positive hpt at 8dpo and gone on to have only one baby? I am only in the pm of 9dpo and the sickness has hit...Something that didn't hit until 5-6weeks with my singleton boys. I know early pregnancy symptoms don't mean anything in terms of bubs sex. I have been taking 2000mg of folate for the last 2 cycles. Wondering if I need to get hcg draws or book in for a scan at 6-7weeks (normally don't bother). Anyone with similar experience or any twin mummy's that have any insight?

Congrats! No experience personally, but is there any possibility you're not 7dpo?

Thank you! I am pretty certain on o date as I was telling, opk, cm, co etc lol dtd four days before as hubby was going away but ovulated a day late and on atomic's recommendation we dtd again when he got home 24hrs after pos opk. Does that make sense?

Main reason I'm asking is that I am a runner but am still working up my mileage for a race when I'll be 13/14 weeks. Obviously will only maintain and not build if I may be at higher risk of mc.

Yep that makes sense... Hmm well 9dpo sure is early to get such strong symptoms. If you're worried, maybe just go easy with the exercise until you can have a dating scan at 6 weeks to find out if you have one or two in there?? So exciting!!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking but felt like I may be over reacting! Hope I wake up in the morning and feel fine and the nausea is isolated to just tonight! So very exciting!

That's too early so you are likely further along than you think. The embryo takes 6-7 days to implant and then a little more time to generate HCG that shows up on a urine test. 7dpo would be like 1 or 2 days post transfer in IVF world. 4dpt is the very soonest you can really see anything and 5dpt is definitely a possibility for a true positive test. That's 9 and 10dpo.

I got a positive at bedtime 7DPO this pregnancy. It was a little darker than the test you posted, but not much. It's not typical to get a positive that early, but can happen. This pregnancy started out as triplets (one didn't develop past yolk sac), but are twins now. At my 6 week viability scan the babies both measured a few days smaller (4) than my charted O date, so there's no way my dates are off and I ovulated earlier or the babies would have been over a week small. I normally get very faint positives at 8-9DPO, so on the early side.

I had a strong positive at 9dpo with both my (singleton) sons. I also physically threw up well before 4 weeks!

Congrats!!! Your chart definitely seems to confirm your dates. With DS2 I was vomiting at 15dpo and was definitely feeling nauseous a few days before that. With that pregnancy I had a BFP on 10dpo with an internet cheapie, so I'm sure I probably would have gotten a BFP on a FRER earlier. Sounds like you have a super sticky bean in there!

Yes many people. I have honestly not found the darkness of pg tests to be good at all for predicting twins. I have seen twin pg with very light pos tests and many, many singletons with dark tests early.

Oh and re nausea, I have had some pretty intense preg. symptoms, not nausea but other stuff like sore BB's (I get this one particular kind of sore BB only during pregnancy and it's very distinctive, I've known I was pg 2 times because of it) and migraines at 7 DPO. I have had nausea start on the day of my missed period twice also.
