Why do people put rings in their pictures?
Well here is mine it's 100% real now!

Why do people put rings in their pictures?
It helps the camera focus. Oftentimes it will focus on the ring but not on the pee stick so having the ring there makes it easier to see the lines more clearly.

Ah I should have tried that a few days ago 1st day 9dpo i could not get the camera to focus in on the line at all.

Sharon - no idea about the b vitamins, maybe ask atomic if you haven't already? Hope this is your bfp cycle.
Beautifulrainbow - yay on the digital test!!
I remember feeling symptoms early with dd3 too. Also my cycle that I had a cp I also had nausea & queasiness that started before 10dpo.
I haven't been on here for awhile, been a crazy week. Wishing everyone luck for this cycle. I am cd13 today & going by my opks yesterday think I will get +opk tomorrow or Saturday. Not that I'm sure we will even attempt. DH has been making comments lately about how he's happy with our family how it is etc. I am really over it, we discussed this a couple of weeks ago & discussed prior to our first cycle ttc in December. I feel that I have put so much effort into swaying (which is mainly for him) & am not happy with my weight atm. If I wasn't swaying I would be a couple of kgs lighter & would not be snacking etc as much. I have been on vitamins which has cost money. I just spent money on Tuesday at my naturopath having a checkup which was mainly to check hormone levels as I haven't fallen pregnant yet. Just feeling deflated & angry.

I feel like I was in your situation a couple times while swaying. I was more on board than dh even though I was trying for a boy for him!! I started off his pregnancy 10-15 pounds heavier than normal and it was hard. Now that I'm pregnant and not sure if it's a boy, I've been doing a lot of soul searching and dealing with difficult feelings. It's an emotional journey either way and I hope it works out for you.

So sorry about being so lax on talking but I have been reading everyday. I'm so sorry afrevert23 for your loss.
BR congrats on BFP. KS I really am fx that this little was is your sticky!!!
I think I am 2dpo now. I really though I was going to O early like I have been doing since before my recent loss. Started getting EWCM on cd9 like normal but it kept going and didn't get +opk till morning of cd14 and had absolute +opk all day cd14 and cd15, still positive when I went to bed on cd15. Ran out of opks at that point so couldn't test anymore but didn't get a temp rise till cd17. So should be 2dpo. FX this my month!!! Will start pineapple today too, or should I not? Temps are wacky this month too.

Oh God....please don't mention the word 'pineapple'...lol! I am 5DPO today and I swear yesterday was my last day of eating the stuff EVER. I have been suffering from a prickly type tongue and sore throat and this morning have had major upset tummy and the runs - my sister who is a nurse said that eating these amounts of pineapple can induce diarrhoea and an upset tummy. Not worth it IMO. Great to see you back in action though Signingfor3. Sooo glad we can be 2ww buddies. :)
Geez, how much pineapple were you eating?!?! I ate a cup a day in the TWW and never had any issues! You don't have to eat a ton to get the benefits.

And I feel soo sick (threw up in my mouth twice sorry tmi but you ladies are used to it by now lol) maybe I'm feeling it earlier because I have has the hcg in my system longer. Because of the trigger shot just as that leaves my systems the pregnancy starts spreading some around my body!

Best of luck this cycle Signing!! Hope this is the month you get your BFP!
Pinklady, yay for the positive digital! FX this is a sticky pink bean you've got in there. :)
BR, that's a great day for a scan as it's my DS1's birthday. ;) I hope your little bean is snuggled in tight!
I took another cheapie and FRER test this morning (think I'm 9dpo) and it's definitely darker even after just one day. With my losses, the tests took 2-3 days to see much of a difference and my tests weren't this dark until 11-12 dpo. I go for blood work today to check hCG level and progesterone.

I'm going to buy some FRERs today, since I've got a worthless blue dye test and a FRRR at home.
Blue dye tests almost never give me a positive even when it's been confirmed I'm pregnant!
If I didn't have this bad reflux right now, I would just think AF is on a hiatus from the exercise I've been doing. Now I'm starting to wonder....

I wont be joining you ladies next cycle or possibly the following as my ds1 would be starting prep at my due date and I want to be 100% there for this big step in his life. Which would put me at mid to late june ttc again even though I told my ob I wouldn't try after my next bday (early june). I'm kind of hoping by then I will have let this dream go and find acceptance in knowing there will be days I'll regret it but it was for the best in the long run.....

Hi just wanted to say don't give up yet if it's important to you, some dreams are worth fighting for even if they seem to take forever to come true 😔 also with your tests results if af doesn't arrive keep on testing as I got bfn on all my hpt even when I was six days late I still got a negative. Didn't show up until Friday 8 days late when I got a slight rise on hcg blood tests and on Tuesday 12 days late finally showed up as a faint hpt . I had elevated temps like you but no signs whatsoever still have mon at all it's very strange . Just hang on to a little bit of hope nothing wrong with that xx

My FS appointment today went good. He has ordered some blood tests to check blood clotting issues, and genetic stuff (for me & DH). It is really just to rule out any issues but since I have two healthy children it probably won't be anything.
I have decided to do the ovulation induction cycle with them with my next cycle so hopefully starting in about 2 weeks. They will then do blood tests and ultrasounds to monitor me. It is a bit expensive to do the monitoring so I'm hoping just to do one monitored one and then do it on my own. I have a script for clomid that is enough for 6 cycles of 50mg.
I was happy he didn't think I need to wait 3 months, he even had my hospital discharge summary that recommends I wait 2 cycles. He said I should be fine physically and if I'm ready emotionally then it is fine.

DS1 was a clomid baby but the monitoring for him was just having an ultrasound to check follicles. I think they just like to make more money out of it now but I will do the right thing :)
I have take clomid 3 times (2007: DS1, 2010: m/c & 2015: BFN) and ovulated cd18-19 so I think it will work ok, I guess it is just a matter of if I get a BFP out of it.

Ok you ladies that are charting gurus, I have a question for you...
My DS3 wakes up in the middle of the night at consistent times right now, he's teething and has his first cold. Can I still temp with consistent night waking? I do get a 3+ hour stretch of sleep right before I would temp. Once his cold is over, he only wakes once to nurse between 1-3am, which would make temping more accurate. I guess I'm asking if it would be ok/worthwhile to temp if I'm consistent at the time I temp given that I'm waking up in the middle of the night at consistent times.
Thanks!

Xxforhubby I would just start temping and recording whatever temps you can. Although you may miss a day here and there, I think it is more the overall pattern you learn to read. Just make a note on any days you think your temp may be compromised (as in less than 3 hours sleep, or up briefly to settle ds etc). I believe the most important temps are between 6 - 12dpo personally depending on an individuals pattern so if you can get even half of those accurate you can at least have something to refer to later on if that makes sense lol. The other factors - opks, cm and cp can also help fill in blanks where temps are missing so try your best to keep some/all of them recorded :)

8dpo and a bfn!
Wish I hadn't tested now, it's made me feel a bit down. Anyone had a bfn at 8dpo and went on to get bfp?
Think I will hold off until Sunday to test again, that will be 10dpo! Who knows!! Feel a bit fed up today!! X

My asthma is flaring up due to a post nasal drip that's causing my horrid acid reflux! I'm glad to have an answer! I've been getting my cardio outdoors so that is the culprit with high pollen counts here.
I'm glad I get to do the diet and exercise a bit longer! Now if only AF would quit galavanting around the world and pay me a visit, haha!!!

It should not affect the pregnancy. Our bodies are good at getting and staying pregnant and people conceive in warzones and all sorts of things that are incredibly stress inducing.

Ditto this! Pregnancy is unbelievably stressful for me but I am 14 weeks and bean is doing great. Our bodies are made to grow babies and I think only the most dire situations would have any effect on the preg. A much later in pregnancy example but they always warn about extreme stress and preterm labor but when I was a week from delivery with DS2 (prime labor territory) and I was already extremely stressed due to being told I had to have a cesarean (traumatic first experience made this feel as though I had a bomb strapped to my chest) and then DS1 started having seizures. ... I was a crooked blow of the wind away from a nervous breakdown. But he was fine and stayed nice and snuggled in until planned delivery day. All that said to say this- your body knows what it is doing. Try not to put additional stress on yourself worrying about bean too. (((Hugs))) Hope everything is okay.
🙏 for a healthy 🌈 🚼

:agree: totally with my DS 2 at 7 months, I was exposed to toxoplasmosis and possibly rabies and then my blood pressure went up and I was stressed for the entire rest of pregnancy and he was 5 days late LOL.
I think they have something screwy with their theorizing on stress during pregnancy - like a lot of people who have lots of stress during pregnancy may be in bad situations in life that could affect them in LOTS of other ways like diet, lack of sleep, etc They seem to be completely wrong on just about EVERYthing they have ever claimed in the past 75 years so please try not to take this too seriously.

BR, nice progression! I think you've got a sticky bean in there! I'm so sorry about your DS. How scary! I hope he'll be okay and can get the tooth fixed.
Jennypenny, 8dpo is pretty early so don't be disheartened just yet. 10-12 dpo may be better for testing.
Purple, I wish you all the best! I'm glad you're getting some tests done and have a plan of action for when you try.
Magical it's so good to hear from you! I wish you all the luck and tons of sticky baby dust :)
XX, I think temping even with erratic sleep is fine. I always temped when my boys were babies despite waking several times a night to nurse. My temps were wonky but I could at least see enough of a shift to know when I O'ed.
I took another FRER and cheapie this morning and it's even darker than yesterday's. The line on the FR showed up right away unlike with my losses where the line took a couple of minutes to appear. My lines today are actually darker than they ever were with any of my losses so that makes me very happy. I'm waiting on the nurse to call me back to schedule another beta blood draw.

Gave me a heart attack, I was a shaking mess for hours thinking of what could've been. I would've loved bunk beds but only looked at the lowline ones and then gave up as ds1 would have no problem pushing ds2 from the top. That and the fact he doesn't want to share a room with his brother 😠 and here I had envisioned this wonderful brotherly love and companionship 😂😂😂 they can't be alone together for one minute without one or both fighting/crying!!

But along with not stressing about everything I am trying to stay positive, realistic but positive, this cycle. No symptom spotting either.

Is your 4 year old the youngest or 2nd youngest?
We got our blood tests today, 3 vials for DH and 9 for me! She actually forgot one of mine and only realised when she saw DH's request form as it was one of the genetic tests we are both getting.

Just had another bfn and its 9dpo! Guessing I'm probably out but will see what the next few days brings.
Have been using internet cheapies from ebay, but assume they are as reliable as most tests. If af hasn't arrived by Tuesday 12dpo I will maybe buy a clearblue digital test just to be sure.
The thought of another month of diet and exercise is annoying, will need to think of my next plan of action. This month was every 4 days (one attempt was on positive opk)
Do you think I should stick to that next month or go to every 3 days?

Jenny are you in the UK and I wouldn't just assume Internet cheapies are reliable I didn't get a bfp with them until a very faint one yesterday morning day before missed AF14DPO. And I bought the one that is meant to give you and early results too. If your in the UK morrisons is selling clear blue digitals cheaper.
At 9dpo, I barley got the faintest of lines wouldn't even show Up in a picture.
If you don't get a bfp and you really want it to happen next month I can pass on atomics advice she gave to me. Dtd e4d plus on on positive opk.! So.you end up with 2 attempts in fertile window.
If one of your e4d ends up on opk day add extra attempt next day

This is just my second month ttc so I have no right to be moaning lol!! Started diet lightly (vegetarian and low fat) from last July and full diet and exercise since January.
Conceived my boys superfast with 10000000 attempts in my fertile days, so it feels different for me that it hasn't happened so quickly this time round with the fewer attempts. Will stick with it regardless, not giving up that easily haha!

Jennypenny, I asked because if you haven't been swaying long then it's probably better to stick with E4D. Definitely ask Atomic though if you're not sure. As with BR, she recommended E4D plus one attempt at pos. OPK for me as well. BR and I are in unique situations which is why Atomic suggested this to us. I've been doing LE diet since last May and exercise since August plus I've had a few losses while swaying so that is why she felt I needed to get pregnant asap. I think we only had one attempt this cycle though as I wasn't really worried about TTC as much since we were on vacation. Like I said, ask Atomic what her advice would be to you. Most likely she'd tell you to go to E3D before E4D but get her opinion on it. :)

BR and signingmommy thanks for thinking of me. My temp is still high (for me) but has dropped a little this morning. Unfortunately my temps always stay elevated until morning of af. She will be here tomorrow. Cant believe how good my chart was looking. Must have been the clomid doing its job I suppose but it was disheartening to see it look like a bfp chart but no bfp to go along with it. At least if there is a next time I will more prepared for a good looking chart lol. I may still temp over the next couple cycles just for comparison/curiosity wise. I used my last frer this morning and its a stark bfn.
Signingmommy dont feel disheartened. Sometimes the strangest charts are the ones that end up being bfp ones. I really hope so in your case and fx!!
Ksmom I think your beta result is fine. As you know the first really does not tell you much. Cant wait for your next bw to see those numbers double!!
Jennypenny agree with ksmom that you should check with atomic. Or maybe give yourself just one more cycle of e4d before adding attempts but you have to decide if you can maintain diet and exercise that long. Its a very tough decision, swaying is really really hard work and I dont envy anyway that is doing it :(

We will have similar age gaps then if I manage to get a BFP. Mine youngest will be 5 in September :)
Good luck with the blood tests will keep my fingers and toes crossed. My youngest is five on april29th and the oldest is 9 in middle of July. So ages are similar and ages of bfp too x

Must be a boy thing because mine are exactly the same. Been driving myself nuts last few days looking at odds of conceiving a girl when you've had two boys and if there is any such thing as a bloke who only had boys in there. I really want my pink dream to come true but just not at all sure that it is due to the fact that the bfp happened like in my first attempt at trying I just wasn't expecting at all with having just come off all those fertility drugs. Boobs are tingling today don't like it but other than that still no signs at all not a hint of morning sickness. So confused still about all the negative results and then the positive . Plus Dr says hcg slightly raised meaning not by much so I'm back to thinking blood test earlier to find out for sure. What do you think?

BR, I know symptoms can come and go in early pregnancy. I remember driving myself insane with DS1's pregnancy because some days I'd feel pregnant and other days I felt nothing. It wasn't long before he reminded me every single day he was in there. lol That is so sweet your boys have been wanting a sister. I really hope this is your girl!! Have you or Pinklady thought about starting a December due date group?

I totally know what you mean. I had three losses all in a row that were very early and at the same point each time (4w2d) so I'm VERY nervous to get to that point this time again. My tests are at least progressing this time and I'm having more symptoms so that's really the only hope I have to cling to at the moment.

I have never had a loss as yet and I don't want this to end in a loss either because it took so much to get here. I heard that almost every woman has at least one loss. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow and won't be having any blood tests for a while and my 1st scan is on may 11th. All I cam do is keep calm and try not to think about it.

Internet cheapie tests are useless early. I have only every got really faint lines at about 11dpo. I would probably go to a FRER before a digital as they are a bit more sensitive and here they cost less than the digitals.
At this stage I would say stick to tryng to getting 1 attempt in at OPK if you are happy doing OPKs. Maybe in a month of two reassess :)

Thanks purple! Will try to stick with the one attempt for at least another month, will need to do a headstand straight after bd'ing or something haha!!
10dpo and another bfn with my internet cheapies :( will wait until Wednesday to see if AF has appeared and will buy a frer and clear blue just to double check.
Think my body is playing games with me, I am getting my aching hips that I had early on with my boys but no other symptoms.
Don't know why my body is messing with me like this!we used to be on the same team lol!!!

Princess mom, am sure everything will be fine. I was always told to watch out for spotting with cramping, if it is stopped now I would be tempted to wait until Tuesday but I have no history of my so I understand completely why you would be worried. You have had similar in a previous pregnancy that was fine, so that is something to bear in mind, sending hugs. Am sure more knowledgeable ladies will be able to advice better x

Princessmom, when I was pregnant with DS1 I had some spotting early on then again much later in my pregnancy but everything was fine. I also had bleeding with DS2 as well. It can be normal but if it really worries you, you could call your OB and see what they say. I'm sure everything is fine though if spotting is your usual. Anything like sex, lifting something heavy, or just overworking yourself can cause a bit of spotting sometimes. Good luck at your ultrasound!

I am on day 10 of my cycle and I usually O at day 14 or 15. But yesterday (day 9) my fertility monitor said high fertility and i had so much EWCM, sorry for the too much information! what is that all about? am I going to O earlier? Is it the one of cardio per day having an impact? or do you think I will just have this until my usual O date?
Thanks
ksmom
April 17th, 2016, 01:15 PM
The fertility monitor can give high readings for several days and you can get EWCM for a week before you actually O. This cycle I started getting high readings at CD11 and I normally never do so I think diet and exercise can change that. I didn't O until a couple of weeks later though. You could O in the next few days or it could be at your usual time. There's no way to know for sure really.

Keep an eye on it. I had that with DS2. Don't get up or switch positions too quickly and don't let your blood sugar get too low. Check your blood pressure frequently. I was told then, that this is normal.
Hope you fell better soon!

Low BP maybe? There's a lot of blood flowing to the uterus in pregnancy which can make you lightheaded. I had bad vertigo with DS2 but nothing helped it unfortunately. Try lying down for a bit if you can and drink some water.

The pineapple thing is eating it from o til 5/6dpo to help the egg implant I Google it. Something to do with bromine being in the core of a pinapple and that is what is meant to help
I wouldn't eat to much of it after that because if you do conceive too much in early pregnancy can make your uterus contract. Or so I read! I don't war pineapple anyway.

7dpo is wayyyyy too early to test! I wouldn't test till at least 10dpo. Implantation usually occurs on 7 or 8dpo, which means you wouldn't get a BFP till 2-3 days after that (once hcg is produced). And if you have late implantation you won't get a BFP till even later (12dpo or so).

Thinking of you today Princessmom, I hope all is well!
I have a question about timing, if one was doing BD once in fertile window then when should one plan to BD? my monitor indicated high fertility on day 9 and according to it I ovulated earlier than usual on day 12 (today) usually day 14 or 15 for me. If I was attempting once in the fertile period when should I have BD'ed? if I had attempted today would that be too late? would I have already ovulated by the time the monitor gives that reading? I usually get 2 -3 days high fertility, 2 days of egg symbol (ovulation) and then 2 days of high fertility. Would I be better attempting on day 2 of high fertility and hope the swimmers hang around for ovulation? Many thanks

Girlieplease, you should stick with E4D if you're really not sure when you're O'ing. If you don't want to do that, BD at first positive OPK then again four days later just in case you gear up to O but don't until later. *Usually* O day is 1-2 days after your first pos. OPK. The only way to know for sure if you O'ed is by temps or ultrasound. I don't know how the fertility monitor works as I've only used the advanced OPKs which give low, high, then peak readings. For best odds of conception, BD is best 1-2 days before O. If you're O'ing today on CD12 and you haven't BD since CD8 then go ahead and attempt.

Currently CD 10 on month #13 TTC, Took 7.5mg Femara on days 3-7 this cycle and was on Clomid the previous 2 cycles. I took my first OPK today and it's really close to positive, so not sure if the Femara is still having an effect on my OPks or if I am gearing up for an early O; I guess the next few days will be telling. The RE had hoped the higher dose of femara would help with my ovulation since I was stilling Ovulating on CD18 on Clomid. My temps are also lower than normal (Like pre O temps for me) the last 3 days so the Femara is certainly doing something.

My youngest is starting school next year too but I'm hoping if I get a bfp and am due around then he will be ok. Probably easier as he sees his big brother go to school and is familiar with it. Purple - Good luck for this cycle, hope those swimmers found your egg.
tfahn - hope you o earlier this cycle. I know what it's like to o around cd18. Not sure if diet would be affecting temps, but I'd be more inclined to think that it's the meds.
Pbn - I stalked you too. So sorry AF came.
Good luck for those testing soon.
AFM - Thanks for the kind words last week. I didn't talk much more to DH about his feelings towards ttc, just figured I'd leave it & see what his response was when I was close to o. He actually asked my the night of cd15 if he was supposed to release & I was kind of surprised & said well I think I will get a +opk tomorrow but if I don't his sperm will be getting too old as he hadn't released since cd11. We decided to dtd uprotected in case I did get a +opk the next day & we would have an attempt in at least. I got my +opk on cd17 so we dtd that night but missed the morning of cd18 due to me being up & down with dd2 during the night as she was not well, but got an attempt in last night. CD19 today & going by temps I think I o'd yesterday. If I did our attempts would be 0-3, 0-1 & 0, fx this is enough to get a bfp & help sway blue.

Purple and farmgirl thank you for your kind words and checking on me :) cd2 and yes still plan on skipping this cycle. I also worked out that IF I got a bfp this cycle not only would it be just before ds1 starts prep but its also very likely my c-section would be scheduled the day of or only a day or two before his bday. I was so bummed initially about a bfn this cycle (and I knew 10dpo when I got my usual pre af feels) and went through a self pity period. I am really looking forward to skipping this cycle (even though I shouldn't be) as I'm taking the boys to meet up with nan and pop at the beach for a week mid may. I'll be due for af :( but at least I'll be fully expecting it this time iykwim and be able to enjoy the holiday without any ttc hanging over my head. I'll be back ttc and expect to the o towards the end of May, so hopefully by then you will would be in the due date group and I might just scrape in to join you lol. It will be cycle 13 ttc and 2nd cycle with clomid :) I love the idea of a February baby!!
Purple I think you have every chance this cycle!! From memory your previous bfp was from a 3-o and o day attempts. I bet it was the former that got you pregnant so everything crossed for you!! Are you still charting and if so can you post a pic?

I agree with the others regarding temps - don't think its anything to do with your diet and think too its the femara. I just had an impossibly beautiful looking chart that I couldn't believe ended in a bfn and it was courtesy of the clomid for sure lol! My prog bw came back at 29 on 9dpo and they told me that's a great number so fx for similar in May :)
Princessmom I'm sorry you're going thru such a nervous period and hope everything went well at docs. Will be waiting for an update. The nausea is a wonderful sign so hopefully little bean is snuggling on nice and tight!
Inforthree that looked positive to me! Great timing and wishing you all the best!
Girlieplease what opks are you using? I too am only familiar with the cb dual digi. If you can provide the brand I'm happy to offer input on when I think your best one attempt chance would be. Although in saying that, bding 1-2 days b4 o are your best chances. Are you charting? It's really hard to tell when you actually o otherwise which makes it tricky if you are trying for one attempt. Personally I'm not a fan of e4d simply because you only have a 50/50 chance of 1-2 day b4 o bd BUT it is the least stressful if you have confusion with opks. Have you tried just dip and read opks?
Signingmommy cant believe you're 8dpo!!! I'm stalking you and remember very well tearing up with a sob and a huge lump in my throat when John Lennon's 'So this is Christmas/war is over' came on the radio when I was 7or 8dpo on my bfp cycle!??! I was like 'what the!!!?' and got my bfp at 9dpo! Cant wait for your update and fx fx fx!!!
Stillwantmore fx for you over the next few days! 8dpo is really early for a bfp and you have every chance of a bfp to come!!

AF for me today!
Knew it was coming and almost relieved now that I'm on a shiny new cycle!
Was doing e4d last month. Will add in another attempt this time, either with e4d plus an attempt at +opk or go to e3d.
Ready to add in another attempt as Husband is on a different work schedule in June, so really want to get pregnant this month before it gets really tricky fitting in attempts.
Does anybody know what's usually recommended after e4d?

Hi Jennypenny sorry af came :( how long have you been ttc? If less than 3 cycles I would try one more at least of bd day of pos opk. It's just so much work diet and exercise wise that I personally think 3 cycles minimum is ideal before adding attempts. I would also bd unprotected in non fertile periods if you aren't already :) I've already explained why I'm not a fan of e4d but again that's me personally and I never had trouble with my digi opks :)

Thanks pbn3! This will be our 3rd cycle this time.
We did e4d last time and one of those attempts fell on a strong +opk! Think that's why I was so hopeful that I would be pregnant !
What do you not like about the e4d method? X

With e4d I don't like the fact that you have a 50/50 chance of either a 4-o and o day attempt or a 3-o day attempt. IMO and it's my opinion only I find the odds of conceiving from those attempts less than ideal. That's not to say people do not conceive from this at all because I actually think Purple conceived last time from a 3-o attempt however I dont believe its the norm. Yes you hear of people conceiving from even a 5 days before o bd etc but I think things like age, diet (especially when swaying) and quantity/quality of swimmers really do count. But as I said thats my opinion only and the only reason I don't like it is because of that 50/50 ratio as I see it in my mind :) its entirely up to you and if atomic or other swayers suggest e4d then by all means listen to them, me personally in your position I would do one more cycle of one attempt at pos opk (making sure I bded unprotected in non fertile period before hand) and then move on to e3d but I cant stress enough its a personal opinion and you should definately ask the experts what they think :)

Just to clarify the 'dtd unprotected in non-fertile period'. I honestly believe (and again this is my opinion only) that the female body naturally sees sperm as an invader and will try to kill it (we all know this already) my point is this, if you are only dtd once unprotected in your whole cycle then obviously your cutting the odds of conception which of course we knows sways pink, but it can also cut odds of conceiving at all. IF you dtd unprotected in your non fertile window (as in 6 days before o and several days after o) then I believe your body becomes more accustomed to having sperm in it and therefore becomes more receptive than killer queen so to speak lol as it will see the sperm as a (regular) occurence rather than a once a month invader. There has been alot of study on it and you could google it for more info :) if you're so inclined.Again please ask and stick to what atomic and others suggest, my opinion is mine only and I may only believe all this because its taken me so long to conceive. I've done a helluva lot of researching including sites (not related to swaying) outside this site as well. In saying all this of course its possible to get a bfp from one unprotected attempt!!! It happens all the time and seems to be mostly when the people involved aren't trying lol!!

Thanks, that's interesting to know your opinion on it. It is all very much a guessing game (even when I use opks! I may still actually ovulate later)
I will have a read at some recent posts about timing (don't like making atomic repeat stuff she has already answered recently)
My husband is starting to get sick of swaying (feels bad for me !) I try to stay ultra positive In front of him though, but it's nice to be able to come on here to have a moan!! When I got a bit down last night, he was like, let's just have loads of attempts and see what happens next month! Yeah!! A big bouncing boy would happen lol!!
Sticking with the programme, don't want any regrets !
Oh well, roll on May!!

Did FF decide that date? What setting do you have it in? It looks like you have lots of negative tests before a positive so maybe you ovulated later or you are just one of those people who take a while to get a positive. It will be interesting to see what your first ultrasound dates as. It is a tricky one so I'm not really sure (plus it is hard to see close up so a link would be good :) )

Hi Pbn! So nice to "see" you again. :) I wish you all the luck next cycle and sending you lots of sticky baby dust!
Pinklady, I can't really decipher your chart with your temps being all over the place. There's no real pattern, sorry. You may have to wait to find out at an ultrasound to know about when you conceived. My temps were wonky too this cycle and I'm not 100% sure either when I got pregnant. I think you O'ed later than you thought though because of when you got a BFP.
Sorry you got AF Jennypenny! Baby dust this cycle! Atomic would likely tell you to try some other things before adding in other attempts (like lying flat on your back or tummy for 10 minutes after BD). Post a new thread asking her for her advice if you're unsure.

They are all over the place I agree not sure if it's because the battery was dying maybe on thermometer? I've got a Scan tomorrow so I will find out then, I hope I ovulated before my later bd as I was counting on the timing more than anything else for a girl as it was so quick.... Plus I read men over 40 have a more of a chance of girl babies due to age and natural decline of faster swimmers? My husband is nearly 42. Is this true or just random rubbish? Don't know how to post the link to my chart and I'm not sure if it was ff who set the ovulation date. Will let you guys know how the scan goes x

Pinklady, I'd say you had to have conceived from BD either on CD18 or 20 because the other days don't make sense. This is just me thinking out loud but let's say you implanted late (12 dpo) and since it takes about 2-3 days after implantation for a blood test to be positive, then you could have O'ed on CD25 but that would be an O-5 attempt. It's not impossible of course, just not likely. Your chart really baffles me! lol Sneaky little baby! ;)

Princess mom I agree with pinklady re: not getting treated properly. I don't know if you've been tested for clotting etc; but at the very least they should have prescribed progesterone suppositories with your level being lower. I would ask them asap for it, it may help and brings levels up quickly. Good luck!

It is possible you ovulated later, I can't see the numbers on your chart very well but it does seem to have a temp shift around cd30 so maybe that is when you ovulated. I also recall your first tests were quite faint so they would be inline with early dates. Remember to include 2 extra weeks for the time before ovulation when working out your dates. So 4 weeks 6 days is actually 2 weeks 6 days after conception.

I just can't go thru this again and most likely will take time away from boards. It just too hard I honestly can't even think about going back to swaying I been on diet since July and I'm sick of it and won't be going back veggie. It's too heart breaking
I'm so sorry princess mom :( Take some time out and come back when you are ready. We will all be here for you.

So just come back from my scan and I am still baffled, she says that's it's an early pregnancy everything looks fine it's implanted yolk sack and everything is intact but she is dating it at 4 weeks and six days. I've tried to work back on my chart but is coming back to the 18th of March when I conceived think that's cd16?. From the date of my period I am two weeks behind where I should be which means either late ovulation or a delayed developer . I have to go back in two weeks for another scan! She didn't seem worried though she said everything looked fine so I guess I have to see if it Carey's on developing. Anyone any advice or ideas
If you're 4w6d then O day would have likely been around April 1st. The only thing is it doesn't really make sense for when you DTD last. I really don't think there's any way you conceived from BD 10 days before O! lol Did you have any protected BD after CD20 where a little swimmer could have snuck through? Hopefully bean continues growing nicely and your dates are somehow off.

Oh Princessmom I'm so happy for you!!! And so mad at the nurse for scaring you like that!! She better be careful looking at numbers wrong especially with the field she's in!! I think progesterone can fluctuate a bit early on.
edit: I just found a study that shows progesterone can go up and down in early pregnancy The 24-hour pattern of the levels of serum progesterone and immunoreactive human chorionic gonadotropin in normal early pregnancy. - PubMed - NCBI (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2199478)

Still BFN but I'm not concerned yet being 10dpo. I'll just wait to test Sunday or Monday. Still calm and feeling like this is my BFP. If it's not my intuition is off but I am not going to be stressed or upset because I know we will keep trying and that I can get pregnant. Only thing that rattled me a bit was finding out my cousin is 14weeks pregnant with identical twins(that's what I lost in Jan).

I was really hopeful for this month but am I kidding myself , I'm almost 39, and always took along time to conceive.
But who knows !!!!
Good luck ladies xx

I was going to say the same thing. You couldnt have o'd on march 18th ans ne only 4 weeks 6days.
My last lmp was 20th March i o'd 1st April (know because of trigger) making me today 4 weeks 5 days. My due date is 25/12/16. Pinklady did they give you a due date of 24/12/16?

Well I did work it out to be around there from what she said but I just don't know how that could be as my last lmp was 3rd March and that's way too long to have not ovulated in a cycle surely. The only thing I can think is it is two weeks behind which may be very bad news from what I've been googling .... Not slept well at all last night worrying about it. I have my doctors blood test on Wednesday which may tell me something about my hcg levels.... If they're not going as quick as they need to. I'm going out of my mind trying to figure out where and when this baby actually got made on my chart and from what I can see there are only two possibilities which is my original thought of 11/12th March or the 17/18th March both of which we bd around but that from a dating of 4weeks six days doesn't make sense either does it? Has anyone had anything like this....it's just been odd from start to finish this time with the bfn and then a really late bfp
The whole thing is messing with my head

I do understand. My 2nd child was a slow grower but I had the implantation bleed they ended up putting me two weeks behind with him too. And he made it so it's not always bad news! (I think sometimes they call.it a missed miscarriage could be wrong) Fx crossed then that is what it is late implanter and slow grower. And everything goes great for you! Sorry I cannot see your chart it goes blurry when I try to zoom in.

Pinklady do you use tapatalk or gd website? I would love to see your chart link is all so I can see things without the blur? Happy to give you directions on adding your link if you're inclined to? And just to clarify there was no more bd after last recorded? (Including bding with condom - in case it leaked?)

It is possible to ovulate late in cycles, I tend to average cd30 because I have pcos but have ovulated later than that.
Are you sure you didn't forget to record a BD? The scan dates match up with what could look like ovulation on your chart but then it is very unlikely you conceived from the earlier BDing.
My guess is you have ovulated earlier near one of the attempts and the baby is measuring behind. I really wish it wasn't the case as I had the same problem with my 2nd m/c as it was only measuring 5w 3d at 7wks. Although I had a BFP earlier when you still had BFNs so I'm a little baffled by your situation.
Unfortunately it is just a matter of wait and see. Fx everything works out ok!

Today there was another pregnant lady from work going on maternity leave... I'm glad it has been 5 weeks now so I was able to be excited for her and talk to her about it without getting emotional.
I would have been telling my manager this week and possibly finding out the gender :( Someone jokingly asked if I was going to have another... I don't even know what to answer to that question. 3 weeks ago someone asked me the same question and I burst into tears so at least I could laugh it off today.
Hopefully the next person going on maternity leave will be me!

We did have one more bd without using anything but he didn't let loose his sperm army so I didn't count it. I'm not sure how to post a link to my chart, I haven't got taps talk or anything like that. I just downloaded the app for fertility friend to my iPad so if you can help me that would be great

Hi thanks for the honesty that's what I fear that it's measuring behind, a missed miscarriage I think they call it but I have heard of embryos catching up and I suppose that's what I hope happens in my case. When I did my digital pregnancy test it said 2-3 weeks so it has moved on and developed if it's now five. I'm really quite nervous about it.

If you go to the fertility friend site then select the "sharing" menu and click "setup" under "Charting Home Page".
Select the address under the heading "Your Charting Home Page Web Address:" and Copy (right click > Copy)
In your next post on here just paste (right click > Paste) the address in the message and that should work.
