View Full Version : Moon signs and gender?

Hi girls,
I read on another side about moon signs and how they are supposed to influence gender (boy/girl if the egg is fertilized in a boy/girl moon).
Though I do not really believe in this theory, I can't stop thinking about it.
Is there any evidence about it? If so, why should we "sway" at all?

Like the other ladies said, it's just a load of phooey. If it were true 100% of the time then there would be no point in swaying and all we'd have to do is look at a moon signs calendar to pick a date. It doesn't work like that.

While the amount of moonlight when you conceive ~may~ sway the teensiest amount (and while I seriously doubt this is the case you can read about it here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/1421-lunaception.html) I do not believe in the moon signs at all. If swaying works, it is because something in your environment and/or your husband's environment favors the conception of a certain gender physically, biologically, because one gender vs. the other may have a better chance to survive to adulthood to pass down genes to future generations. It makes NO SENSE that the moon and astrology could do that.

Oh and my personal opinion is that certain other swaying sites like to make swaying so difficult that no one can do it right, so they always have something to look at and say "oh yes you messed that up so it's your fault your sway didn't work".

That's exactly what I was told when DS2 was a failed sway. I was told I failed because I didn't do anything with ions.

Btw no real astrologers believe that when you conceive has any impact on gender. So it isn't even supported by astrology. As a fairly serious amateur astrologer I'm baffled by how this theory even came about in the first place. I do believe in astrology, enough to try to plan when I give birth, but not this crap.

:agree: and I also believe in astrology possibly having affects on personality as well, I know people think I dismiss some of this stuff out of hand but I don't. Your Zodiac Sign, Your Health - The Atlantic (http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/11/your-zodiac-sign-your-health/281358/)

It's just a slightly higher risk, it's not a guarantee.

Mine is 2nd worse (and I was born at the end, my actual DD was the next, worst month)! I like how my very strong desire to give birth in Autumn is actually beneficial!

It hasn't been working for me at all! I wonder if I can only conceive at times that would give me Spring and Summer babies ie what I don't want!
