Unfortunately I've had a missed miscarriage. Giving my body some time, and then I am going to try again.

So for highest chances for a girl, I will:

- have one attempt at positive Opk.
- reduce or even cut out red meat
- drink a glass of white wine every night
- coffee
- only supplement to take will be folic acid

Is doing cardio or having no exercise at all best?

My husband won't frequent realease so we would be abstaining before our one attempt. How many days of abstaining is the ideal?

Anything else important that I've missed? X

I think abstaining for 7 to 10 days is recommended!I will be trying myself in 6 wks and I'm taking fibre and folic acid, I'm also taking Olive leaf extract which I heard recently lowers blood sugar levels which sways pink! Also I bought a salt lamp which strangely enough has made my cycle regular

Is your husband younger than 35?? If he's over 35 I would NOT recommend abstain and instead have him do regular release every 2-4 days instead.

Doing cardio is best but if you don't feel up to it, I wouldn't force it.

You need to be following the limits of the LE Diet, really. Just cutting out red meat, if you then eat tons of chicken or something instead, is not going to sway pink. This is 1500-1800 cals (and I'd do upper limits of that), 40-50 g protein, 30-60 g fat.

I like anyone who's had a MMC to take 18-30 mg iron 3x a week. Early pregnancy is an iron-greedy time and it may be hard for you to catch up on LE Diet.

We don't know how OLE sways for women or if it is safe and I do not recommend doing this. OLE for DH only and it is INSTEAD of cranberry, not along with it.

Thanks Atomic. We arnt trying until a years time now. Husband will be 32 at that point, so would 7 days abstain be alright?

How long should I do cardio for? Is 60 minutes ok? Or otherwise am I ok to do nothing at all? I'm admittedly a couch potato....

Oh dear I didn't know that about chicken, I thought it was just red meat we had to mainly watch for. I'm abit worried about doing the LE diet really as I already naturally have a low weight. I eat a lot, but I don't know if it's my metabolism that makes it very difficult for me to gain weight. I wouldn't want to cut out too many calories in case it interferes with my ovulation etc.

What would you recommend I do in my case? Xx

Atomic can I just ask, my husband will be 35 in a week and we are trying in June, is abstaining still ok or would you recommend frequent release? We got pregnant 1st time we tried on all 3 baby's :-)

It is not like flipping a switch, it is just that 35 is the age at which risks of possible issues GRADUALLY start to rise. Most babies are born perfectly fine and healthy even with dads in their 50s. 35 is just an arbitrary cutoff date that I use, there's no difference between abstain being ok in one week and not the next just because he had a birthday. :)

I think abstaining may increase risk of miscarriage so I would have DH release on his own every 2-4 dsys or eith you using a condom.

Even if you're already thin, it's really, really important you do the proper LE diet. It's especially important that you keep fat and protein now, and you should be reducing overall cals too if possible. Diet is the most important, strongest sway factor and it's NOT just about red meat, FAR from it.

Thanks Maiden. We will do frequent release if abstaining ups a risk of miscarriage there is no way I'm risking it seeing as I've only recently suffered one.

I will do more research into the LE diet then, I was just worried about losing too many calories with being already thin and wrecking ovulation but I need to do all I can to hopefully get a daughter x

I have always been underweight, average BMI of 17, and I've been on the LE for the better part of over 2 years. I've just maintained my starting weight. I've never lost O. There are tons of slim ladies on the LE. The only ones who lose O were WAY too strict eating crazy low cals. In your case I might start at 1800 cals, and focus on the low fat and low protein aspects.

If you aren't trying for a year than I wouldn't worry about it, don't start dieting now!! That's ages away and I would worry you'd actually get used to the diet in that amount of time.

Here is the short version of LE Diet. It's much more than red meat. What you are saying means to me you don't even understand what LE Diet even is so I strongly recommend having a look at it http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/16780-low-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html Contrary to popular belief it is NOT a starvation diet in any way and anyone who loses weight, up calories. That is FINE!! All the limits are is just the lower limit of what reputable sources call a healthy pre-pregnancy diet. What really matters is not some random calorie intake but that you are eating less (particularly less animal protein and fat) than you WERE. Don't worry about what anyone else did or didn't do, focus on your OWN diet and lifestyle and moving that in a more pink-friendly direction. Switching from red meat to chicken does NOTHING as they are both massive sources of animal protein. But cutting back on animal protein (even if you NEVER get into the range of LE Diet, let's say you're eating 90 and end up at 70g) will STILL sway pink for you. Focus on your lifestyle and changes you can make.

:agree: While there are definitely exceptions, most of the people who lost O were people who insisted on starting off at either the minimum 1200-1500 cals (which I want only like 3% of people eating that little) or even less than that, or who refused to increase calories even when weight flew off, or were eating barely any fat. You need a minimum of 30 g of fat a day and you can go as high as 60 g and still be in LE Diet range. DO NOT cut out fat all together and it's actually a good idea to start off higher like 1800 cals, 50-60 g fat and protein, and then you can drop over time. Starting off eating 800 cals, 0 g fat, and 20 g protein - it isn't LE Diet and isn't allowed!
