Ok so I have a 14 month old son and would absolutely love a girl!
Have been on the diet for around 3 weeks now with quite a few cheats in all honesty!
I only eat chicken anyway so now cut that down to just once a week, just finding it hard having no crisps or chocolate!?
Anyway.. I know the recommended time is much longer and more strict but I just want to be pregnant already because I don't want the gap between mine to be that big!
I am only now starting my calcium, magnesium, folic acid and cranberry tablets, so am I absolutely crazy to try next month (may)?? I am planning to o+12 so chances are it won't happen just yet anyway.
I also am planning to do it in a girl moon sign, does anyone believe in these??
I also am going for the neg ions - so far I have an ion bracelet, a rose quartz bracelet, lavender body wash, bath soak and plug ins. Anything else I can get easily??
ANY opinions would be appreciated..
THANKYOU.

Hi there and welcome.
I am relatively new here too and I know there is a huge amount of info, but some of it is really just in response to people's questions about stuff that they thought would sway, but actually doesn't seem to, like ph and timing. I would say just flip through the topics that really matter on the index: attempts, LE diet, exercise.
Don't waste your time on O+12, this will decrease your odds of pregnancy. Most people on here swaying girl have either a single attempt at pos OPK or else an attempt every 4 days (which should only give you a single attempt in the fertile window anyway).
Don't take calcium or magnesium, extra nutrients sway blue. The calcium / magnesium = girl idea is based on the Frech Gender Diet and it doesn't seem to work. Folic acid / folate is needed to prevent neural tube defects so do take that.
Aside from single attempt in fertile window, the most effective things seem to be the LE diet and 60 minutes of exercise 6-7 days a week, and this is most effective if you do it for 12 weeks beforehand. If you look up the LE diet in a nutshell post on the forum you'll find more details, you can have chocolate and anything else as long as you stay within totals for fat, protein, and calories and eat at mealtimes rather than snacking.
As to whether you are crazy to try now without doing the diet longer -- which is more important to you: increasing your odds of a girl or having your kids close together? All this swaying stuff is just about shifting the odds, not a guarantee, so you have to decide how much you're willing to do before it's not worth it to you. Everyone has different priorities. :-)

Thankyou for your reply.
I think I will attempt next week, just don't really know when to.. Before I am expecting O or wait till I get a pos OPK and then go for it?
A part of me does think what will be will be, just do want to try as much as possible in a short amount of time.

Have your one attempt when you get your first positive opk. Having been on the diet for only 3 weeks probably won't sway much, but even just having your one attempt at pos opk will help sway girl.

Oh shoot looks like this sneaked by me.
You can have crisps and chocolate (white and milk chocolate, best to avoid dark). If you're doing IG or FGD then yeah, you're supposed to avoid stuff like that but most of us totally gave up on sodium restriction and having more success than when we were trying to limit it.
We really do see best results with 12 weeks or at least 6 on diet. It's totally up to you, of course. You're right you may not even get pregnant the first month out so use your own judgement on that.
While I don't believe in O+12 that's of course at your discretion, just wanted to urge you to stick with one attempt as that has gotten stellar results for us.
I don't recommend using cranberry for DW, as I do not believe it's safe. If you do want to take it be sure you stop at O and don't use in the 2ww.
I don't believe in moon signs, if it works out that's great, if not I would certainly not postpone months because of it.
Also don't believe in neg ions for swaying but sounds to me like you're covered.

If you want to try for O+12 I think the easiest way is just to have one attempt about 48 hours after first positive OPK.

Re cal-mag...this is really easy for those of us who have gotten opposites while eating lots of dairy and/or taking cal-mag supplements, to give up on this idea. But for those who haven't tried it, it's really tough not to want to give it a try. It's up to each individual to decide on that. If you really, really can't walk away from the idea then just be sure you use SUPPLEMENTS and without aditional vitamin D or zinc in them, and not increased dairy intake because dairy is so nutrient dense.
The scientific case against calcium and swaying is here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/610-calcium-conundrum-controversial.html but it is up to you if yu want to use the supps or not.

What Erin said!
Tming doesn't sway, it's impossible to conceive from O+12, moon signs are 100% rubbish. Focus on diet, exercise, and one attempt. I strongly recommend the full 12wof doing the diet properly (and exercise, if possible, otherwise be as sedentary as possible). But it depends on how much you want a girl over another baby ASAP.
