GD doesn't advocate the French gender diet. You drinking all the diet coke and coffee seems like a pretty bad idea for blue -- and I happened to be doing that when I got my DD and is what many people are doing to sway girl.

Usually limiting to 1 cup or dropping coffee completely is recommended. Green tea is a "bluer" source of caffeine.

The HE plan to sway blue here emphasizes nutrition -- so diet coke with its artificial sweetener is "pinker," and even if an occasional full sugar coke is ok, still are empty drinks.

HE beverages are usually: green tea, water with lemon, V8, coconut juice, pineapple juice, some other fruit juices, etc.

There's no magic food or drink, as atomic always says, but lots of caffeine in general tends to be much more of a girl sway tactic here. And there's definitely caffeine in the diet coke!

Ok so the diet we tend to use more often is here. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-boy/16806-high-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html

This is French Gender Diet. I do not think it works for boys and the only reason why it ever seems to is because people tend to eat more on it.

Drop diet coke right away. It doesn't lower calcium and may sway pink.

Drop coffee or lower to no more than 1 cup a day. drink tea instead. Caffeine has been totally debunked for swaying, it does not cause calcium to leach from your body and we get 80% success for PINK with that level of coffee intake. Something in coffee seems to sway strongly pink.

You need to have protein and carbs at every meal and snack (and you need to eat 3 meals and 2-5 snacks a day) Bananas and orange juice are fine WITH protein, but by themselves alone they cause your blood sugar to rise and then plummet which is bad for boys.

I think the salt = boys idea is utter nonsense. When you eat a lot of salt, your body just pees it out right away. It does not stay in your body and has never been proven to do anything for swaying. WE had people do blood tests before and after sodium limits and their sodium levels actually went UP when they limited sodium and dropped when they ate a lot. It may even sway pink because all the salty foods that they recommend on FGD are unhealthy and cause you to lose potasisum like crazy (I'm not convinced that potassium in and of itself does anything either, but still) Just eat a reasonable amount of sodium and do not load up on things like ramen and soup mix trying to get more salt. I got my daughter eating tons of sodium after my 4th boy when I was limiting it.

I do not like you guys using baking soda. Again, never been shown to sway at all and is not healthy.

You're so right!! At first, my blood tests were: potassium - 4, Ntrn- 135, calcium 8.8. I started the diet did not eat any blood calcium and testing my: Potassium 4.3, Ntrn- 138, calcium 9.3 !!! I did not eat calcium at all. Now I'm more confused, I'm under pressure, I do not know what to do, I paid the doctor $ 300 for this diet. Ugh!

Oh thank you so much for letting me know that. Much appreciated.

Your body simply takes calcium from your bones and teeth when you aren't eating it. The mineral diets for boys cannot be true biologically and are also bad for your health in the long term because you may harm your bone health. Let's hurry up and get you pregnant so we don't have to worry about that!!

If those levels changed outside of a very narrow range, you would DIE!

I can't tell you what to do, just that the science does not support the idea that what you're doing is going to help you get a boy. Of course you can still get a boy on all sorts of diets, but I personally don't think that the mineral diets work in any reliable way.
