I have recently changed my calories to 1800, fat to 55g and protein to 45g

Today is the second day with these new limits. I think I might need help finding more calorie dense foods since my dinner literally took me 2.5 hours to finish. It was just sooooo much food and I get way too full to fast. I am thinking I never used to eat this many calories before. I think i ate around 1600 or so give or take. But I am Breastfeeding so I understand why Im supposed to have higher limits but also my supply was starting to dry up after 5 months pp probably because I don't eat more than 1500+ calories or so. I have actually gained a pound in the last two days.

Today I ate:

8:00 am coffee

11:30am soup (noodles, beef broth, tomato sauce), hummus and crackers, and half a wrap with cheese, roasted peppers and sandwich spread.

3:00 diet coke

7:30 (till 9:30): 2 corn on the cob ears with 2 tsp butter, baked potato with sour cream, 4 stuffed pepper halves (stuffing was rice, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, bock choy with 1 TB cream cheese, cumin, chill pepper flakes, chill powder) and a salad (ice burg lettuce wedge with goat cheese, strawberries, balsamic vinegar) and a glass of white wine and 4 twizzlers and 2 pop tarts.

This was: 1850 calories, 48g of protein, 56g of fat

I am exhausted from eating and feel horrible. I can't eat this much before bed. any suggestions?

Break it up into three meals instead of two. That way everything is spread out more. That's what I have to do!

But I am not hungry :(
The coffee is really suppressing me appetite as I've never drank coffee in my life before. I am also drinking diet coke and the bubbles make me so full. I literally have only drank water 95% of my life. and then the alcohol my goodness i can't fit everything in!

maybe I need to have more dense foods. Like a piece of lasagna wit cheese and meat say. instead of eating 5 different items to make up the limits. just eat less food but richer in macronutrients.

OR since I am gaining weight again, maybe I should go back to 1500 cals. I am only nursing my son now for comfort in the middle of the night as my supply has decreased awhile ago. I think this might be the route i need to go in order to actually lose weight as well.

I agree on three meals (or two plus a single snack) instead of two. It sounds like this is too much food for you, but I think Atomic suggested you up your intake because you started off way too low for someone breastfeeding and she thought that might be why you didn't lose weight. I would NOT drop straight back down to 1500 cals again! Wait and see if she recommends a different limit for you. Incremental changes are better than jumping way up and down or you'll mess up your ovulation (and you were concerned about your cycles already, right?)

You don't HAVE to have coffee AND diet soda AND alcohol everyday. Yes, these things (esp. coffee and alcohol) are thought to sway, but if it's too much for you then just pick one to drink daily and drop the others. Honestly, if a single cup of coffee swayed that much the world would be overflowing with girls, right? You can have a successful sway with fewer tactics.

You need to be eating 3 meals, for starters. 2 or 3 meals is equally acceptible and that will help. Going from 11 to 7 may mess with your milk supply anyway.

I ate 3 meals while breastfeeding, one at 10-12 sometime in there depending on how early I got up, the next midafternoon, and then a bedtime snack that was smaller than the other two meals. You're also going to have to find more calorically dense foods to add and I'd suggest full sugar pop for a quick bunch of cals with no nutrients.

Drop diet coke. It does nothing and yes, yes, yes have a piece of lasagna instead of all that other stuff. There are basically limitless ways to do the diet correctly, just do the limits and have things YOU like.

Great thank you!
Should I start to gradually aim for less calories?

No. I want you eating more calories than you were for the reasons I already mentioned. (you're still postpartum really and you're nursing) If you cut back drastically in cals your body is going to hold off on ovulating regularly and you'll lose your milk supply FIRST before you ever lose weight.
