I am confused around the whole CM area, so is it right in saying that Little or no cm is the ideal scenario and sways pink, where loads of cm sways blue? And if it's creamy then it's ideal for conceiving a girl and stretchy and gooey (sorry for tmi) is ideal for boy?

Hi amelia10, I'm waiting on a response to this one too cause lately my cm has been close to none due to my diet and is probably why its taking alittle while ttc.
I believe having heaps of ewcm possibly sways boy and little to close to none sways girl.
Previously months before diet and when ttc in the past I have always had a heap of cm which use to help me knowing I was ovulating, but past 2months was very confusing and pretty much no cm , my body played tricks on me and I O'd earlier than normal.
I'm sure atomic will tune in soon

Hi Faithinpink , I've gone the opposite where I have loads now since starting the diet and loosing weight, so that's why I'm confused ... Thought it was meant to decrease! I know during the wk of my attempt ill take antihistamines which should dry you up aswell, I'm confused tho!! Going to wait and see what happens this month, I was drinking allot of peppermint tea not sure those this affect it!!

Hi amelia,
i've been on diet (vegetarian) and losing weight and i've been going back and forth with the cm. Initially I didn't have much and then last month i had a good amount for 2 days. Not sure what's going on... but i know i am eating mostly veggies and keeping everything low diet. I don't count everything I eat everyday but I think i'm def on the right track - i've lost 12lbs since Feb! Sorry don't have the answers, but I've seen cm go back and forth even on diet but overall have seen a decrease here and there

It's a theory. Not proven. We really do not know that it's the case, and we've had enough CM opposites (boys with no visible CM and girls with lots) that I do not believe that it's as cut and dry as the theory makes it out to be. There very well may be changes in CM that you cannot see with the naked eye that are swaying and not the quantity of CM per se. You do need some EWCM in order to get pregnant at all so the goal should not actually be to eliminate it ALL.
I got my 4th boy with absolutely no CM that I ever saw (and I was testing my pH 2-3 times a day for 3 months straight haha) and got my girl with visible CM.

CM is a theory. Time on diet is PROVEN to work, we have the numbers to show it. I hate to see you guys getting so hung up on unproven theories that you forget that you're already doing what is working for most people, most of the time!!!

It is meant to decrease, it may do so over time. The antihistamines should help.
