So today after 3 days of flashy I finally got my solid today on CD 18! My only concern is the test stick looks almost identical to the flashy ones when ejected. I "Google" and I'm confused as other people have a dark opposite and light opposite to me when they get their solid. I've had "almost" posative cheapies for 3 days now but they only go dark after 10 mins and they are fading since yesterday morning. Obviously going to bd tonight and start 12/24/36 ttc blue but I think I've missed this month through my own stupid paranoia about going too early. Does anyone use these sticks? And advice? Could the solid be a dud? I'm going to bd today anyway as I'm usually only a 31 day cycle and can't let hubby abstain for any longer hes on day 4 1/2 by time this eve comes. I had late ov last month (cd20) but was taking epo and lots of green tea. I dropped epo and reduced green tea. I've had no ewcm but thats normal for me and i think ive low estrogen (as confirmed by the tests). Any clue?
Thanks in advance xxx
Ps atomic will kill me if she's sees another post from me about opks so praying she doesnt see this lol
Pps I DO NOT recommend clear blue advanced opk. They have caused nothing but trouble and conflicted with other tests. I also don't recommend buying various brands of any test then moaning when they show different results. If it gone off one brand id have bd days 15/16, I'm still waiting for one brand to go posative and cb has today day 18. Very confusing. Can't help but wonder if that was right and I've left it too late or indeed if cb is wrong today could be too early! Ahhh if I'm out this month I'm sticking with wondfo! Even though I'm going to have to pay 3x the price of them to get them posted here. I mean how much do they weigh? $17 for postage lol

I see all LOL.
Yeah all this is why I hate that darn clearblue. I know that the cheapies suck, but they suck in a different and still-usable way whereas the Clearblues cost a small fortune and suck in this whole other way that renders them almost useless some months. So you end up broke, confused, and still no idea when you Oed.
you're not supposed to look at the sticks. Something inside the Clearblues KNOWS how to read them, they don't work like normal OPK you can't tell anything from them.
I want you guys from here on in to DTD at the FIRST positive OPK of any brand. Then if you get another pos OPK on a different brand, hit it again. THe brands never seem to agree and it covers you.
Have you ever used cheapies that you can find locally?? $17 for shipping is NOT worth it!

I have used some from the "dollar store" you get 3 I think. But I ordered these off eBay as they were 100 for about $10ish. On these I still have not had a posative despite testing 3 or 4 x a day. I had a few of the others left which have been almost posative then turn posative after I leave them longer than the 10 mins for last 3 days now. I will just bd as planned and hope for best. If not it's a learning experience for next month!
I know you said don't look at sticks but i couldnt help it. Apparently one line is lh and one is estrogen. Normally a solid is when estrogen line is pale and lh is bright. But mine are the other way. I don't trust them and won't be buying them again. I've used 8 sticks on this cycle and still not convinced they are accurate!
Thanks for the advice. Will just keep everything, except my legs lol, crossed. I hate this ttc lark. You think I'd be clued up since it's the 4th time..... xxxx

Just wanted to say, don't pay attention to the stick colors like said. I LOVE these tests! They work great! I've never had one be wrong. Your other opk might not sense it yet because this one tells you earlier.

Thanks. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm on my second solid day and one cheapy is posative the other is negative. But I've started the bd now so I hope your right and I can trust these! Fingers crossed. Still late for me day 18 but better than last month CD 21! Thanks for your reply xxx

You can look at them if you want to but they don't tell you anything. :)
Most of us on here got our boys with regular BD EOD or even every day around O. So you can't go wrong just showing up for sex a lot. :)

Does diet/exercise still seem to trump, though? Of all the things that make me nervous for a boy sway, it's the frequency of DTD -- we definitely did frequently, and did 4-5 times during fertile period... and I always get the big O!
Or is this one of those things where it might be less of a thing for me to worry about in a sway, but say baby hadn't been DTD regularly before swaying, she should up it?

It is NEVER one thing. Never ever one thing like that. I cannot tell you what trumps what because I do not know and it is probably different for everyone anyway. But as you already know your diet and exercise were extremely pink friendly and remember - people do get baby girls even with great blue sways all the time so yes, it's totally possible to have a lot of lovin' going on and still get girls that way. :)

Wow, I am using the CB advanced for the first time (pink sway) and if I had known people had such issues I never would have bought it. It was on clearance, but still $30 and tax!
I normally would get a positive opk day 14 and O day 16. I started using the CB yesterday, day 9, with fmu as the instructions recommend. I got a low result as expected, but today on day 10 got a peak. What the what?! So frustrating.
I am doing bd every 4 days, so at least I am sure to get close to O at some point, but I hate the uncertainty. Time will tell.

Mkddav sorry to hear your having issues too. I think with me I confused things by using 3 brands of opk. Previously I have "thought" I ov on day 16ish. I started with cb on day we as per instructions and I got a low. However that same day I got an almost posative with a strip test. But because was putting my hopes on the cb being peak before bd I choose to wait till next day. I went to flashy but strips still almost pos not quite. And I got my peak after 3 days of flashing on day 18. I started bd that day but I've since found out the first test in each cycle is always a low even if it's not a true low. So if you test that day and it should have said peak you will miss it. I think due to this I've messed up this month. I think they are great if you have regular 28 days cycle o on day 14 but maybe not for longer/irregular etc. Peak in day 10? Hmmm. It's a strange one. I feel like mine only went peak in day 18 as it was sick of giving me high. The day I got a peak on cb my sticks were negative!! So annoying lol why do we do it?

I try to spread the word but they have a bigger budget than I do (plus some people swear by it!)
It is possible to get peak on CD
10 though. That could mean you'll O on CD 12 possibly, all in normal range.

Yes, very frustrating! Oh well it will work out. The BD schedule should cover all possibilities so I'm trying not to dress about it.
Hopecit works out for you too baby2016!
