I had pessaries for a missed miscarriage on the 1st of May.
The last couple days I have been having ALOT of ewcm, but negative opks. Could I be ovulating this soon after a miscarriage?

I have been having negative HPTs on all tests different brands of tests apart from a very very faint line on a First Response.
I'm assuming as I'm getting the faint line on the FR that means some pregnancy hormones are still present although low seeing as no other tests are picking it up anymore.

I've probably answered my own question there, but I'm just so confused with the ewcm so wanted to run it past you guys x

Yes, you can be ovulating again. But you can get EWCM for many days in advance of O so I would not assume it's going to be like today or tomorrow, may still be 7-10 days away. Just keep doing those OPK or have e4d attempts if you're doing that.

Thanks atomic. So even though faint line on First Response, it could be possible? All other branded tests are negative apart from that one. Last time I took one was Saturday, not checked since. But I had positive opks today after having negative ones lately x

Yes, it can still be possible that you could be gearing up to O. We don't know how much HCG is in your system.

Oh! I thought there had to be no HCG in your system at all to enable you to ovulate. Thanks atomic. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
I'm abit worried if I do get pregnant though, we dtd yesterday, the day before I got positive opks tonight. Do you know if you are more likely to miscarry again if you get pregnant without the first AF coming?
Sorry for all the questions.

No one is really sure how it works to be honest. Technically that is correct (it's actually normal to have up to 5 hcg in your system and still O) but we have recently had a handful of people with higher HCG levels than that - and they were having bloodwork which is far more reliable than a pg test - who did ovulate. So I do think based on observation that it is possible, esp. given that the other tests are all coming up negative, that you could possibly be Oing already. It's not a sure thing or a guarantee, just that it IS possible.

Some sources claim that if you catch that first egg you may be ~ever-so-slightly~ more likely to miscarry. But we have seen TONS AND TONS of people catch that first egg and go on to have safe and healthy pregnancies so please try not to worry about this.
