View Full Version : So annoyed with my cycle

Ugh, I'm so mad at my body right now! lol My period was expected on Sunday, didn't show up, BFN on Monday morning. Lots of false symptoms got me thinking I was pregnant (we had an attempt 0-4, although DH didn't realize it was an attempt, haha). Had a tiny bit of blood on toilet paper this morning and nothing since. I don't think I'm pregnant now but I just wish AF would start up like normal! I always start off heavy right away. The attempt would have been perfect had I ovulated on CD 14 or 15 like I have been the last couple of months but no, I would, of course, not O until CD20 this month.
So frustrating! Just had to vent. I know at least a few of you can relate! I'm not too upset b/c I have my heart set on an April baby, but I'm still annoyed that my body is going all wacky all of a sudden.

How many dpo are you? Isn't it usually a case of your lp stays the same regardless of when you ov?? So if you ov late, your period will be late but if you ov early, af will arrive early?? I hope your cycle sorts itself out but hopefully it's a case of a shy bfp!x

I hear ya! My cycle has been wacky too, but I think it's a good sign that our swaying is working! I usually spot for several days before AF officially arrives, but this month I only spotted one day, but my period only lasted about two days.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I suspected that I o'd on CD17 but I don't temp or use OPKs so I wasn't certain. Turns out I o'd later instead so my period wasn't technically late I guess. Flow got heavier this evening so it straightened out thankfully!
You're right Pretty! I think it's a sign too that swaying is doing something. I've gone from consistent 32 day cycles to wacky 27-34 day ones. Hopefully July's cycle will be good to me! I'm ready to be done :D

Same here! I think my doc is putting me on clomid next cycle - I have to get an ultrasound during my next period. I. Am. HORRIFIED.

yes and no - they operate independently of one another so delayed O does NOT mean you will have short LP. Usually the 14 days will just be tacked onto the end of when you ovulated. So a delayed O will mean a late AF too.
BUT sometimes people can develop delayed O and short LP at the same time (and this is usually down to herbal supps or dieting too strictly) and so in that case scenario it can even be possible to have delayed O with short LP that ends up with O coming right on time!!! Or, more commonly, you have an O on CD 21-35 and then a short LP on the end of that.

This is very common with pink sways and I believe to be one of the surest signs it's working. :agree:

My cycle has gone crazy too! I usually bleed 6-7 days, but the last few cycles I only bled 3 days.
So weird, I'm used to much heavier periods.

I wish mine would lighten up a bit! My first 2 days are always quite heavy.

I am 100% convinced this is a good sign. It just keeps happening and simultaneous to this the blue swayers are complaining about longer ones.

I do want to mention that many people have NOT had any changes in their cycle and still gotten girls (and some people who did report ligher AF got boys anwyay). It's just such a trend that I"m seeing, that I have to mention it, but it is not true across the boards with many exceptions.

How did you know that's exactly what I was worried about just this morning?! haha Thanks for the reassurance!

Although in saying that, it used to be more like 3 or 4 days of heavy bleeding before it tapered off. Now this cycle, it's really only been a day and half of heavy bleeding. But still about 6 days in length like always.

Ok, I just hope it doesn't keep getting lighter until it disappears altogether...

It won't. The only thing that makes AF stop is if O stops. Just keep getting the nutrients you need to continue ovulating.
My AF started getting lighter and shorter when I was swaying with DD and it's just stayed that way. I have about 2 days now with a day of spotting while most of my life it was 3-4 days.
