Hey can anyone shed any light on what the issue is with swaying and thyroid issues? I have an underachievement thyroid and it is managed with medication. I have had two successful pregnancies with this diagnosis. I just read under the danger aspects of swaying that thyroid issues is one that you need to check with gp before swaying? I have been swaying since March and had my attempt last week, and advice please, thanks

I just like to be sure you guys are getting seen by a doc. Early pregnancy can mess with your thyroid levels and they need to be adjusted fast because malfunctioning thyroid can end a pregnancy.

If you give me a rundown of what you're doing to sway I can comment on it.

I am doing cardio 6 days per week, le diet, no meat ( sometimes chicken or eggs if my calorie levels are low), trying to keep protein and fat within the limits. Alcohol every night, peppermint tea daily, no other tea and lots of diet coke. I only have two meals per day first around lunch time( 12 - 1:30 depending on how hungry I am) and second dinner between 6 and 8 depending on what is happening with the wee ones. Really appreciate the help, I had my attempt this week on Wednesday so I may already be pregnant, but as I did one attempt at positive OPK maybe unlikely?

Just wanted to add, other than my thyroid medication and follic acid I am taking no supplements, I never took fiber supplement as I read on someone else's post it could interfer with thyroid function, thanks

Oh, you can def. get pregnant from one attempt at pos OPK, that's why we do it that way. :)

You tolerate alcohol ok on your meds???? Most do there are some who don't.

fine to skip fiber

I often have those with thyroid issues leave out pep tea too.

Great, thank you so much atomic, I really appreciate it. I will cut out the peppermint tea! Does thyriod problems sway blue? Stressing about that now, I know you can conceive at one attempt, that was how we conceived ds2, we weren't trying to sway then, my husband went away for work the day after and ended up with just that one attempt and got pregnant, thanks again really appreciate it! Just my experience: when I was hypothyroid I got 2 boys, but when I got on medication and my levels were normal I got my girl. Obviously there were other factors at play, but I think having my thyroid hormones in the normal range helped me et my girl. With my boys I was hypothyroid and out of normal thyroid hormone range (T3 and T4)

I think if you're on medication for your thyroid and the levels are in normal range you shouldn't worry at all about it swaying blue.

Good luck! I would be interested to hear atomic's take on thyroid and swaying, as she knows much more.

I would think that it isn't the thyroid itself that sways, more like the effects of it. So if you were hypothyroid and gaining weight because of it, then maybe the weight gain would sway blue, KWIM?

I would be interested in that as well caramella_marie, we shall see what she says. The more I read on swaying the more am discouraged about my chances of getting another girl, when are you attempting? You could be right about the weight gain and hypothyroidism and swaying blue. I think am just going to start preparing myself for another boy if I am pregnant, my little dd ' s heart will be break but on the positive my boys are really easy going so would fingers crossed be an easy baby, good luck to you as well!

Im still on the fence about adding a 4th to our brood. Somedays I think I am done having kids but most days I long for another. I am going to give myself a little more time to decide.
