Alkaline versus Acidic

Just wondering does anyone know the answer to this - is the theory, girl sperm like acidic and boy sperm like alkaline environments still the case?? I know the LE Diet is everything in moderation, so is this to lower your blood sugar & loose weight as opposed to making you more acidic to favour girl sperm?

Yes, I do believe the ph theory has been debunked. There is an essay on it in the TTC Girl Best Practices section I think. Too acidic and sperm simply can't live. Lots of women (Atomic herself even I think) have conceived boys with a low ph level.
And yup! Right again with the low blood sugar. Losing weight isn't necessary for girl I don't think but it helps if you have weight to spare. Research has shown that female embryos prefer a low glucose environment.

I started off believing in pH but after getting a boy with a low pH (testing 2-3 times a day and it was so low I never even knew I had ovulated!) it got harder and harder to buy into it. I saw tons of opposites going every direction - boys that should have been girls, girls that should have been boys, people with wrong pH having successful sways and people with right pH getting opposites - it is just impossible for me to believe in it. then I looked into it biologically and saw it just couldn't be true for the reasons in the essay.

Diet lowers overall fertility and also has favorable impact on hormones and blood sugar and that is how it sways, we believe.
