Currently in the 2 ww but read someone else post and they said thyroid sways blue? I have dd ( eldest) and then two boys, I was diagnosed after I had my dd but before ds1, any stories from ladies that had underactive and had successful girl sways? Thanks so much

Following! I have an underactive thyroid too and as far as I was aware hypothyroid doesn't sway so would be really interested to hear more on it. I was only diagnosed after ds3 but I think I may have been borderline since ds1 was born. Fingers crossed for a pink bfp for you this cycle!

I was diagnosed with hyperactive thyroid after DS1. My thyroid was radiated and so now I am hypo. I've been on synthroid since 2006. Since then I've had 2 boys and 3 girls.

I was diagnosed in 2011 & have been on synthyroid ever since. We had our girl late last year (no swaying), however I suspect it was more due to lifestyle i.e. LE diet, trying to lose weight, lots of cardio & 1 attempt at ovulation.
Fingers crossed for you!

Please don't worry too much reading things like that. I believe that ANY perceived link between thyroid and swaying is because there is this subset of peopel with both PCOS and thyroid issues. Since PCOS DOES sway blue, some people have been fooled into thinking that thyroid problems sway or that the meds sway, etc but it's just coincidental IMO.
We have had TONS of ladies with hypothyroid who got girls with swaying.

If you did LE Diet, tried to lose weight, did cardio and one attempt at O, that IS SWAYING. That's the stuff that actually works!

Oh I agree - I just didn't know it at the time that they were girl sway factors. [emoji4]I've started a more HE friendly lifestyle in preparation for TTC#2 in the new year.

I would think hypothyroid would only sway blue if either
1. It's not being managed properly and you're gaining a lot of weight (which might sway slightly blue)
2. It leads to PCOS. In many women when the thyroid hormones are messed up it can mess up reproductive hormones and insulin, which would then sway blue.

Or happens concurrent with PCOS - there is a whole subset of gals with both of them - Hashimoto's sufferers and others

I can only hope it sways blue! Haven't had a thyroid since I was 13 and I got a girl. I was being treated (I always have to be or I die!) and purposely run high with my dosage since my endo knew we were trying to get pregnant (did first try). I DID also follow an extreme LE lifestyle so take that into account.
Really hoping I'm able to get a boy despite my high thyroid doses.

I run high with my dosage too to try and shrink my thyroid back down so I'm hoping it sways pink for me!
Having said that I've noticed a difference in my body when on the LE diet, so I can't see any reason you couldn't have a good boy sway if you were on the HE diet and living a HE lifestyle. You are more than welcome to all my blue dust when the time comes! :)

This thread has given me hope! Was getting worried with what I had read on the forum.
