Very anxious! I suffered gender depression pretty bad when pg with my DS #3. Not sure how I'll react this time if it's boy #4.

Had my NT scan today. All went well!! And just one baby. I couldn't tell if there was a nub ever in what she showed me (she had the screen turned away so I couldn't watch the scan) and I don't see anything in the pictures I got. So I'm not sure if it's worth posting them in the ultrasound gallery....

I think I would stay team green unless you are mentally ready to hear boy.

When I get anxious about a possible boy #4 I look in my photo album from when my boys where toddler-age and smaller. It eases my mind to see how cute they where and it makes me less worried and makes me think that another boy would be lovely.

I don't know as I have specific concerns relating to this use while pregnant...I don't use make up or perfume or typically nail polish (I bought nail polish with the intent of using it as nail polish for the first time as an adult for our sway). I make my own cream and sunscreen...have for 6 years. Tried making my own deodorant and shampoo but didn't like the results so I still buy those 2 products. :)

I'm leaning that way too. I was devastated to hear boy with ds3 so I didn't find out with ds4. But I was hopeful my entire pregnancy that it was a girl...and then because my boys wanted another brother I was fine seeing he was a boy when he was born.
This time, I can't muster any hope it is a girl and I feel like it is sucking my enjoyment of being pregnant, for likely the last time, away. (I also recognize that my inlaws are visiting me for the next 5 days and they are killing my enthusiasm for life in general...they are the source of one of my biggest fears for having only boys.)

I'm hoping that I'm making the right decision to find out so soon. If it's boy #4 it will make this pregnancy very difficult to deal with. But the flip side is that if it's a girl I get to experience all that joy even sooner. The hardest part is hearing all the peoples comments...I find. It feels like people want to rub it in. My mom had my brother then me and said they were exactly the same pregnancy. I'm holding hope because of that. So far nothing is super different. There are different things, like no cramps this time....but I doubt that could really be gender related.

ksmom
July 6th, 2016, 09:32 AM
Princessmom, if it's been on your mind that much then go ahead and find out the gender. I had an elective gender scan with DS2 at 16 weeks and I'm glad I didn't go through anymore of my pregnancy still believing we were having a girl. It helped me to start the GD healing process earlier.

This time around I feel like we're having another boy so it feels like having an elective scan would just confirm what I already know. I still don't know when my anatomy scan will be but hopefully I'll know by this weekend when I have my next midwife appt. DH is about to burst he's so eager to know what this baby is that there's no way he could stay team green. I'm almost indifferent about finding out because I'm sure this baby is a boy.

Beautifulrainbow
July 6th, 2016, 10:18 AM
So I have had 30+ girl guesses and about 7 boy guesses before my scan in the morning. Wish picking the gender was like voting as the girl guesses will win.

I honestly haven't ever been thru gender disappointment and pray I don't have to, esp for my dd. Yes I always want a girl with each pregnancy lol but it didn't matter.

The teachers in school said he is saying the same thing. I have asked him what if it's a boy. He says it's not it's a sister. Not sure what I'm going to do with him if it is a boy?

Oh no BR!!!!! :(

My midwife changed my due date based on my ultrasound yesterday to January 3 (instead of 6) so now I'm not sure what that means lol. NT is best done up to 13w6d and now they have me measuring at 14w0d. Would a day really make that much difference do you think? Makes me wish I had clearer pictures too now. The fun news is that means, regardless of how you count the end of the 1st trimester...I am officially in the 2nd!!!!! Hooray!!!
Told my inlaws last night (they had horrific responses but I dislike them anyways and honestly wasn't expecting even the congratulations they managed). My boys all know. Told my siblings.... Now I just have the people I actually want to tell left to tell, so double YAY! :)

Man. I was waiting on pins and needles thinking you had your scan today. Poop. I have to wait another day!! Lol.

I have 10 days and counting. Today is almost over so it's more like 9. I'm nervous. I think we will be very upset. I know hubs will. And I will be more upset for him. The idea of 3 boys isn't bad, it's just the idea of never having a daughter. My husband wants a daddies little girl. And he is so good with our god daughter. She has him wrapped around her finger. I will be a crying mess if they say it's a girl. I get emotional just thinking about it. I see little girls and my heart aches but then I see a cute baby boy and I'm like, what a little stud muffin I could totally do that again. I know I make cute boys. So I got that going for me. Lol

I decided to stay offline for a bit, I been killing myself googling blood test number results between male and female. My husband thinks it's a good idea to go this upcoming Saturday for a 3D gender scan. We will have tech write it in women in an envelope and we can open it with our children at home.

Today at Babies r us my older two made me purchase a little onesie that says
"Best Baby Sis" it's so cute and they each have a name picked out for her.
I just don't want to be depressed I have been depressed and I just pray it is a girl.

I didn't get to sway. I had plans to, trust me. But oops. Today my friend sent me a baby name book. Finally got hubs to sit down and go over names. I got 5 out of him. And he surprised me on one. So that was exciting. The boy name is decided because, well we didn't have many we liked and with 2 boys already, that narrowed it down significantly. Lol. So that was easy.

You can remove me (again) from this thread. Went to the doc today to get a scan. There was no viable foetus and no heartbeat, so it is missed abortion. Unfortunately my HCG-level has increased from 15.000 last Friday to 37.000. It sucks. I pray that it will start decrease soon, so I can get my bleed and move on. I hope I don't have a foetus outside the vomb. This was my first month TTC, so I guess I just have to be patient and get back in shape as soon as poosible so I am ready to catch a better egg. At least I can now enjoy a glass of wine with DH on our summer vacacion. GL everyone with your pregnancies.

K, I know what you mean!! Our boy name list is short (so far anyway) because we already used some of the names we like for our boys plus I'm picky. lol We do have a girl name picked out that we are in love with but I just have that sinking feeling we won't get to use it. :/

Dreamsister, I'm so very sorry! :( Did they check anywhere besides your uterus to see if there could be an ectopic? Since the pregnancy didn't progress, it sounds like a blighted ovum which can cause your hcg levels to continue to increase. I hope you get your sticky bean soon. *hugs*

I am so sorry Dreamsister!! :(

BR, mine is super high. Ultrasound tech was shocked and had to move all her gel way up. The top of the uterus (and baby hangs out at the top of the uterus...pretty cool...I'm not used to being able to find baby until further along) is at my belly button and I'm only 14w). My 4th was higher than he should have been at 14/15 weeks but not this high.

K, I am not looking forward to trying to find a boy's name. I generally can't select a name until the 3rd trimester - have to get to know baby first before I can find the right name - but I feel like we've used all the names I really like already on our 4 boys. We've had a girl's name we love for ten years now but I don't think I could use it anymore even if we somehow get the chance.

Anyone else gaining a lot of weight this time? I've gained 18 lb. already and I didn't gain that much with DS2 until around 26 weeks. With DS1, I'd only gained a pound or two by this point (almost 16w). I'm not even eating that much! Could it be because my body got so used to a lot of cardio while swaying? This isn't a vanity thing, just more of a concern as to why I'm gaining weight so rapidly this time.

I have not. I'm sorry. I would suggest talking to your doctor and seeing if they can get you an appointment with a nutritionalist? I have lost weight. And I think that's odd. But I'm not complaining, as I'm overweight.

Might be because of the strict diet before so now your body is holding onto every calorie it can. I have started eating more normally and stopped exercising and can feel the pounds gaining already at 6 weeks! Although feel so bloated and stomach aches that Im going to have to eat less and smaller amounts I think to combat the slow digestion!

K, my midwife does want me to start keeping a food diary so she can see what my diet is like. I did develop a sweet tooth after doing LE for so long so that doesn't help. :/ I am trying really hard though to eat healthy. I've been having salads more often and cutting back on desserts. I have a lot of food aversions this time though so it's hard to eat at times.

Chocolate, that's what I was thinking could be the culprit. LE+cardio for a long time likely changed my metabolism. I was super bloated too in the beginning. Eat lots of fiber rich foods and drink lots of water. Cutting out soda may help as well if you're drinking that.

My anatomy scan will be scheduled for the last week of July. AH! I'm so nervous!!!! I'm super excited to see the baby since I haven't had an ultrasound since 6 weeks but at the same time I'm nervous about baby's health. Of course I'm nervous about finding out the gender too!! We're going to have them put the gender in an envelope for DH and I to open in private so I don't have a negative reaction in front of the tech like I did with DS2. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to know though. DH really, really wants to find out and he said he'd keep it a secret if I wanted to be team green. I just woke up from a nap. I look like I was crying but I wasn't. Week 14. Going in for gender scan in Saturday at 15 wks at my regular place. I've done all the kids gender there and later scans for chubby face 3-4D pictures. They did my son at 15wks and some days and they go 3D usually on their parts to confirm. So I'm confident in their skills, they've been right for me and my family and friends that have gone there from a recommendation.

In the evening my belly sticks out but then in the am it's gone. I'm hoping I don't have more than one in there with my high hcg numbers. One newborn is hard enough for me! Also, other than the morning poops, the other thing different this time is my hair is still falling out normally or maybe a bit more than normal. With my other 3 pregnancies my hair literally stopped falling out. My brush was bare the entire pregnancy and my hair grew faster and was so thick from no loss. Nothing like that this time. Weird. Pink lady, honestly I think you should atleast try again and get the best sway you can do! I did it anyone can do it lol. I honestly I'm still addicted to the le diet but now I make myself eat breakfast.
Check out my sway and I have two blogs. Honestly I am Catholic and I did pray a lot and believe everything is meant to be.
But when I seen the pink balloon I was like yes! My sway worked! I went vegetarian and also my husband changed his diet but only the last month because doc orders and he is on cholesterol meds but he also takes multi vitamin and fish oil. So not sure if that matters. I believe the woman's environment plays a huge role on what happens to the sperm.

Try talking to your husband, and explain how you feel, atleast then you can try for a daughter. I wouldn't ever think I have 4 kids, but I am just so happy.

I wish u the best and everyone else who wants their gender desire

HI chocolate, I am 7 weeks 1 day today. So we are really close. I've been having up and down emotions the same as you. Things like, why and I doing this again? Why am I putting my body though this and our family though it, etc. It comes and goes. When I've had lots of sleep I seem more positive, but by the end of the day I sometimes go back to these thoughts. My nausea is all consuming sometimes, so that doesn't help. I know when I hold this precious baby all will change. There is nothing like seeing your own newborn for the first time and talking to them and seeing them do all the firsts. It's makes it all worth it. I really really really hope this is the girl I've dreamed of all my life. If it's not, it will be very hard. I know I can love another boy. I know I can have so many happy moments watching him grow up. There will be lots of sad with the happy. Lots of comments, looks etc....fingers crossed for a girl for both of us!

At first I didn't want to believe it and still hope it wrong. But DH and I are okay with it knowing we did what we could and even with his low sperm count and my repeat miscarriages we have a healthy baby. Well Dr office called and they had my MaterniT21 results. Baby is healthy with no chromosome abnormalities. And we are expecting boy #4.

At first I didn't want to believe it and still hope it wrong. But DH and I are okay with it knowing we did what we could and even with his low sperm count and my repeat miscarriages we have a healthy baby. I would love to say we are going to try again but this is it. I am destined to be a boy mom, boys are what we know how to raise.
Congrats on a healthy baby boy!

I have been trying to keep up on here, but summer vacation is kicking my butt! Lol. The days are just flying by right now, but my kids are so needy at the moment I feel like I can't keep up with anything. Laundry, dishes, social media...:)

Just wanted to say congrats Princess mom!! I'm so glad you decided to go in for the elective scan. What a fun surprise and adorable pic of your kids.

Singing mommy, I'm so sorry you didn't get your gender desire, but big congrats on another healthy little boy to love:heart:

Ksmom, I am 100% in the same weight gain boat!! I have put on nearly 20lb and will be 19 weeks on Thursday:worry: I really do think that being underweight to start is a big factor, and I'm sure metabolism was affected by the diet and exercise regimen as well. I'm not TOO worried about it, but hoping it tapers off from here. I have been giving myself a goal of simply walking 30 min a day. It's HOT but I feel so much better when I get out and move. I have been so lax on exercise in general, so hopefully easing back into a routine and trying to avoid some of the unnecessary snacking and sweets will make a difference. I'm really not indulging a ton, but tend to eat frequently and much later at night before bed. So different than LE!!

I was supposed to have our anatomy scan with the perinatologist last week and they rescheduled until the 27th. I was was really looking forward to seeing baby again and getting a closer look at her overall health. And I STILL am very anxious to see that she actually has girl parts wih my own two eyes. I know I should trust the Panorama, but I feel like I won't fully believe t until I can see for myself! I started decorating the room and buying a few things here and there, but haven't taken any tags off...just in case.

LBB, I'm sorta glad I'm not the only one gaining a lot of weight. LOL My weight gain has slowed down a little to about a pound a week now which is a relief. My midwife isn't concerned about how much I've gained just as long as I'm eating healthy. I'm sure Panorama is right for you! It's supposed to be even more accurate than ultrasound. I hope you get a good potty shot so you feel more confident about pink shopping and decorating! :)

Babygirlquest my anatomy scan is now Monday, and I been freaking thinking oh my what if it was wrong! But I am far along so I am sure it is accurate and the place I went to all my cousins go to and I went with my last child at only 15 weeks. This time I was 17 weeks and baby is measuring a few days ahead. So my husband tells me I am crazy to stop being paranoid lol I won't stop till she born lol and even then I will be even more paranoid lol.

Hi Ladies! I got my BFP at the beginning of this month - LMP was 6/3/2016 so I thought I was 5w 2d. Yesterday I had some spotting and went for an u/s - the nurse called me this morning and said I am measuring 4w4d I have already had 2 m/c and it appears I may be going down that road again. My hcg levels were like 4000 on Monday so I don't understand!

I'm sorry Kellbell. Due dates are often not correct going by LMP. Spotting can also be normal. I had spotting from 6 weeks to 7 weeks with this baby. I hope this is a sticky bean for you.

Well ladies, my anatomy scan is set for August 1st! AHHHHH! *deep breath* I just know baby is going to be a boy. :/ It will take some time to deal with I guess but it will still be hard to hear. DH was surprised/upset when I told him I'll be disappointed if it's a boy then I felt guilty for even letting those words come out of my mouth. He keeps talking like this baby is a girl and last night I flat out told him "we're not going to be having a girl." He was irritable for awhile after that. I just don't want to allow myself to live in some kind of fantasy land where I picture us having a daughter like I did with DS2. I'm full expecting to hear boy (and trying to prepare for it but it will still be difficult) but if by some wonderful miracle I hear girl then it will be a lovely surprise. All that being said, I hope baby is healthy. I haven't had an ultrasound since 6 weeks so other than hearing the heartbeat on doppler, I don't really know the status of this babe yet.

Dr says there is a slight possibility it's wrong due to the miscarriage I had just recently and that some chromosomes for the twins might still be floating around. But he is pretty sure the test is correct. DH wants to wait to tell the boys just in case but we are doing pretty good with the news I think. The oldest said he thinks it's a girl but wants a boy, the middle thinks it's a girl and wants a girl, and our youngest is pretty adiamate that I'm having a boy and he wants a boy. He is the only one in my family, friends, and acquaintances that thinks baby is a boy everyone else keeps saying its a girl.

I am going to be okay being a boy mom. I just know that my boys better have some granddaughters for me. My pseudo mom is pretty sure that this is not our last and that I will have a girl but I assured her that we will not be having any more after this, can't financially handle it, I want to retire at some point, and it took long enough for me to convict DH for this last one.

I won't ever get a tubal. For one, I have vaginal births so no need to go in unnecessarily. And two, it's more permanent. For a man, it's quick easy and in and out. It's also easier to reverse if that came about later in life.

I told hubs he has to get the snippity snip. I'm not good with BC so there's that. And obviously NFP doesn't work, although we were 1.5years strong on that! This little bug wanted to be.

Several ladies in my mommy group have had a tubal done and they all complain about how wacky their cycles and hormones are. I think if you're okay with the potential side effects and will already be having a c-section (or are okay with major surgery for the tubal) then do it. Vasectomies are much less invasive and for men it's an in and out procedure so he could have it done in the morning and go to work later that day. Also, IF you were to get pregnant after having the vasectomy done, there's no risk to you unlike with a tubal there's a high chance the pregnancy would be ectopic. The only thing with a vasectomy is you'd have to use protection for at least 3 months afterward before he'll be tested to be sure no sperm are getting through.

Thats great to hear Sharon. I am due the 27th and wish I could have an early scan to know all is well. My hcg at 6 weeks was SUPER high so I would like to know all is well and that it's only one baby. As of right now I dont have a scan until I'm 12 weeks. I could call my Dr and see about getting one sooner maybe.... My nausea has been super unbearable since I hit 7 weeks. It's been soooo hard to eat. Everything repulses me. It's been bad lately trying to catch up financially because my pay didn't come through for a month and when I finally got back pay it was short a week. And that's $350. So it's a chunk short. Chocolate I wouldn't put much stock in ramzi theory. It really depends on what angle the image was taken or if it was flipped or not. Even if baby is indeed on your right then it's still no guarantee of baby being a boy. With twins you have twice the chance of having a girl!!

Chocolate I think you can have an nipt done with a scan at 10 weeks through babybond its nearly £400 but I'm not sure if they will do it on twins. You can have a gender scan through babybond too at 16 weeks £79 but if you wait until after 18weeks it's £39 for a justgender scan with babybond. I'm sure if you search around there maybe more cheaper. I went with babybond because it was with mothercare and they would (I hoped) be more experienced and hopefully get gender right 1st time.
none of the twin mommies on my UK pregnancy group were offered blood tests to find out gender they all found out at private 16 week gender scan.

I am. I didn't believe her at first and then she showed me how flat it was. And I was like, OK. IDK. No one knows. Just my boys and hubs. It's a secret. So maybe when it's public knowledge. I think it's shock. I never thought it was going to happen. With this being our last I was so nervous.
