He should avoid as much as possible, of things that may be harmful to sperm health and quality. High levels of alcohol, drugs, and especially SMOKING have been swaying pink for us. Taking lots of herbs and dietary supplements (like for weightlifting) has sometimes had a very harmful effect, even the ones that are supposed to raise testosterone, so he needs to avoid them.
He should try to avoid things like jogging, biking, tight fitting underwear, hot baths, saunas, and if he has to sit a lot at work or in the car he needs to get up and walk around every hour to avoid his "boys" from getting too hot. He should NOT ice his balls. that is not necessary at all - just because heat is harmful, cold does not magically resurrect dead sperm.
He should release (ejaculate) every 2-4 days starting as far in advance of when you plan to TTC as is feasible. This ensures a good supply of nice healthy sperm.

And just to reclarify -- that release should ideally be through unprotected sex, right?

This depends on what you want from your sway.
For a person who believes very strongly in timing nothing I say or do or believe is going to change their mind and I want their hubby releasing regardless.
But yes, in an ideal world where everything is getting done "atomic's way" then I like to see you guys having unprotected sex for boys since not only may it make DH make higher T and bigger batches of sperm, but also because regular exposure to your husband's semen may both improve overall fertility (swaying blue) and just generally sway blue in ways we don't totally understand as of yet.

There's a LOT of women on here who say the opposite! :giggle: I think it's just hard to break what we know.

:-) I guess it's like shopping the sales rack. Your size seems to be the one hard to find.
PS: the overwhelming majority of women here are also TTC pink. Naturally follows more pink voices for any metric, really

They both have unique challenges and seem difficult to whoever is swaying whichever direction because for most of us our lifestyles just favor the conception of one gender vs. the other. :)

Since cranberry has been said to sway pink since swaying began practically haha, most blue swayers want to avoid it. But I doubt it sways pink (because all juices seem to sway blue by hydrating and adding nutrients) and even in supplement form, much much more concentrated than juice, it has been neutral in results for us, not seeming to sway pink or blue. Thus, I suspect it sways blue to have cran juice but since there are lots of other juices without the mystical pink reputation as cran juice, I figure you guys may as well go with those instead.
So, in a nutshell, said to sway pink by many, probably sways blue or is neutral, better off avoided by everyone just in case. :)

Not sure if you have read the thread 'how we got our boys' - maybe worth a read if people mention what their DH's have done/were doing at the time to get boys. As for my DH, he took Zinc tablets. He never skipped meals and always had meat for dinner at night and always wine and or beer at night. We DTD unprotected every other day and managed to get two boys that way! No smoking for DH and he's always worn loose boxers never anything tight down there!! I will mention, for our second boy, my DH was walking to and from work each day. We moved countries and conceived him in the same month we moved :) - we must handle our stress really well!! :)

Be careful with zinc though blue swayers, please stay in the dosing guidelines as too much zinc may potentially be harmfu to sperm (and can KILL a person!)

I have four girlies..... Never swayed before but looking back I definitely had a 'girl' diet.
Do you think timing matters or more diet?
I want to be really strict with the diet and ttc on my next cycle!! X

Atomic has a great thread called "The Trouble With Timing" that if I wasn't on mobile, I'd link to!
I also personally believe it's diet over timing based on my DD coming from very "boy" timing/DTD tactics but I was outrageously LE in diet and exercise.

Diet x a billion!! Timing doesn't even work and when TTC blue, going for Shettles timing may even sway pink. Sticking to one attempt has been 70-75% successful for pink swayers regardless of the day of intercourse, so be sure you are in with 2-3 attempts in the fertile window for a boy. (most of us do one attempt the night of positive OPK, then again the next morning - for most this is O Day - then again the next night.)

Yes that's because they're trying to help blue swayers get boys!! We're trying to show what our lifestyles and diets were like when we got our little men. :) Hence, the responders are pink swayer but most of them have 2-3-4 or more boys.
How much zinc and C is hubby taking?
