It looks like my body has started responding already to me cutting out refined sugar and drinking water. My charts have always been all over the place (rocky mountains). Feeling positive that my body is finally prepping to conceive again. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160701/485a47fe1ef3dbe3a25d6928aed7d883.jpg

Night sweats are common both in early pregnancy and also right before AF comes.
I want to point out again that I'm not totally sure you Oed when FF gives you the crosshairs. CD 10 is quite early and if you mentally move that crosshair back a little in your mind the temps don 't really start to go up till after CD 14 (which would still put you at more like 11 DPO - and we see a lot of people not get BFP till CD 12-14)

July 8th, 2016, 02:10 PM
also I just want to mention that given the days you took the clomid, the odds that you ovulated on CD 10 are quite small. It's very rare to O any sooner than 5 days after the last Clomid. dose.

I would maybe have you start BDing once AF leaves in case of early O in the future and keep BDing until CD21-22.

You cannot have ovulated while taking the Clomid. The odds are between slim and none that is an accurate crosshairs. It is very rare to O within 5 days of stopping the Clomid, let alone while you're on the Clomid.

The crosshairs went away because it was impossible for you to have Oed on CD 5, and highly improbable that you Oed on CD 10.
Temping is not reliable on Clomid and many doctors do not even have you temp on Clomid for this reason.
FF is just a computer algorithm and not an oracle. It can and does get O day wrong sometimes and that is why it changes the O day sometimes, because the pattern of your temps no longer fits in the algorithm and it "fixes" the day to make more sense with your temp patterns.

No. Clomid blocks estrogen. The odds of that happening are - who even knows, but just to this side of impossible, and of the handful of people that this might have happened to (none of which I have ever seen or heard about from any reliable source), I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that it was user error, either they took the C at the wrong time of the month or skipped days.

CD1. I'll probably ovulate even earlier this month as with every clomid cycle, it's happening earlier and earlier. Not taking clomid this month, but yes I did ovulate on CD5 this past cycle so before I even took the 1st pill on the night of CD5. Has anyone ever ovulated during their menstrual cycle? How gross is that for BD???? Also, with the Clearblue OPK's, do you recommend FMU or SMU? Instructions say FMU but I thought it was best between like 10-2.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160804/743c84f3c611f299d47356b331a6d726.jpg

You did not ovulate on CD 5. That would have given you a 19 day luteal phase which makes absolutely no sense.
FF is not a magic oracle. It is a computer algorithm. It looks at the pattern of your temps (which are so unreliable on Clomid that many doctors actually tell people not to temp while taking it) and then makes up crosshairs that are a guess about when you ovulated.
There are two possibilities here both of which are by far and away more likely than an ovulation on CD 5 and a 19 day LP. One is that you had ovulated on CD 14 and had a short 9 day luteal phase. The other is that you ovulated more like CD 10-13 and a more normal LP. WE can't know which option is correct from here without more info but what I can tell you is that either of those scenarios is much, much more likely than ovulating through clomid and having a mega LP. It just doesn't make sense and I advise also running this past your doctor because I believe they will agree with this assessment.

Fefe in my experience I've had up to six days of flashing smileys but I do want to warn that alot of ladies (myself included) have had near positive opks (equivalent I guess to a flashing smiley) when af is coming (I've not tried the digitals while having af) I know you're having af atm so maybe the surge is from that? Also with taking clomid it screws up your temps and will give you a false opk. Looking at your chart your obviously not taking clomid yet but it makes no sense whatsoever that you would see a true lh (o) surge this early. I'd go so far as to say impossible... I would wait it out over the next few days and then begin opk testing again. Just my two cents worth.....

No not at all but maybe? I really don't know enough about the effects of clomid to commemt about that. However I honestly believe your having a 'false' surge especially on cd2. All I'm saying is I'd keep on testing (on plain old dip tests if you have them) as I don't think digitals would be very reliable this early in your cycle. Yes people can o unbelievably early in their cycle but its definately not the norm. I think you need to go with your gut on this and if its telling you to start bding then do so :) your temps will be a bit more reliable on a non clomid cycle :)

FWIW, I conceived my DS1 with a SUPER early O! I too had to have ovulated while on my period. I'm talking I either Oed sometime between CD3-5!! It was confirmed by US. I would BD if your DH doesn't mind. What is it gonna hurt? If it's a false surge, then you still have time. If it's a true surge, then you're covered.
FX for you!

I remember you saying that. Hopefully, I lighten up by early morning. I think I'm the one more turned off by it than anyone. Was gonna start then as I usually spot on cd3 and 4.

A flashing smiley is NOT a positive OPK. You can have flashing smileys for many days prior to ovulation. A solid smiley is a positive OPK.
You can get pregnant from sex on your period though and it's because you're also making EWCM sometimes at the same time and it acts like a little "life raft".
I think you should go on your trip NOW. That's because I seriously doubt that you are about to O at CD 3 and postponing it means you may end up postponing for an attempt that is not likely viable only to be away from home during your fertile window.
Please use the instructions that come with your brand of OPK. Different brands are calibrated to work either with FMU or after lunch, so you have to go with what the company who manufactured them wants you to do.

Right, but you were not taking Clomid and you do not know how long your LP would have been that month because you got pregnant. A CD 5 ovulation while on Clomid and then with a 19 day LP tacked onto the end of it does not compute.

Ok. I'm not planning to take clomid again. So are you saying this surge must be from last months clomid (residual effects)? I have to travel starting Monday and won't be back until Thursday evening. Six days would be perfect. Do you think I can catch it?

Your body uses the hormone detected by OPK to do lots of different things. In fact, your husband could POAS and sometimes get lines on the sticks (dark, but not positive lines = flashing smileys). It is ONLY when the concentration gets to a certain level that ovulation is actually triggered (solid smileys)

How likely can semen get through spotting though?

Very likely, but it is very UNlikely you are going to O this early.

Ok. What I meant about postponing was a 6 am flight vs. a 5pm flight the same day.

Ok. Thanks. I just thought BD closer to Monday afternoon would help more than like Monday at 2am.

My concern is that you're cutting into the time at the end of the trip when you are much, much more likely to be fertile (assuming you'll get home later now than you would otherwise) for something that is very, very, very likely a false "high" reading. It is NOT a positive OPK when it's flashing and you can get either a)false positive "high" readings during AF like PB mentioned and/or b)many, many days of flashing days before you eventually get that positive. Either or both could be happening here, so I hate to see you postpone now when the odds are very high you are not fertile, only to end up possibly missing O!!

:agree: if you can end up getting back at the same time, that's fine. It's the other end of the equation I'm worried about.

Arrrrrggggghhhh!! This is so frustrating!!!!!!! I am kicking myself for ever taking clomid. Now I hear it's in system for up to 90 days. This is pure torture!!! Looks like we missed it again this month. Never peaked. What a complete waste of money!!! Sat at airport for 10 hours last night trying to get home. Made it home by 2:30am and was just too tired to do anything this AM. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160812/e6b8001276509a2a2288082e8fd638ae.jpg

I am going to jump in here and let you know my thoughts. I would not say you missed this month at all. Your chart looks very much like you have not O'd yet and you will be just fine getting an attempt in today. You are only on CD10. More than likely, you have not O'd yet. Most OPKs tell you not to even start them until after AF because you can have a high LH during that time and it does not have anything to do with Ovulation. As Atomic has stated, you most likely did not O yet and you will be gearing up to O in the next few days. I would keep an eye on the OPKs this next week.

Ok. Thanks! I just assumed it because I had o pains yesterday and woke up really hot this AM which usually signifies O for me.

Just because it's in your system doesn't mean it still affects you in the same way.
I am with Shann here and I don't think you've ovulated yet. Is it possible, sure, but it's also possible you are still in it to win it (and I think much more possible than some of the other scenarios.)

Not one other than really crazy bloat (never had this before). I actually look about 4 months pregnant. Lol!! Poop has been crazy looking for the past couple days but I guess my body is over responding to the residual probiotic because I left them at home before flying out. It's funny because I would at least have SOME PMS by now. Every cycle's different, I guess.
