my DS is quite poorly at the moment with a tummy bug. He's had a high temperature and diarrhoea for nearly 4 days now, and as a result we've been trying to get lots of food/fluids into him.
the main problem is that he is off his food, doesn't drink much water from a beaker, so instead of giving him 3 meals per day (weaning) I've had to give him only BF for the last 2 days.
I'm feeling drained, exhausted, and lost even more weight :( I'm now down to 5-7lbs to lose before being underweight and we haven't even started TTC yet. I need to eat more in the next day or two, but I think I ov'd on Sunday (CD19) and we last DTD on CD11 - please tell me there's no chance of a BFP from that and that I won't be ruining my diet completely by having a few breakfasts and other foods?

Rainbow, I think you need to worry about you and ds at the moment and get some extra calories in you!!

I know! We've been really lucky that he's hardly been poorly and not had a temperature, he had a rotten cold at 2months old but not much else since.
The joys of starting nursery and being exposed to new germs!

NO, not at all! Remember it's the overall trend of your diet that counts and not any one day or even two or three. PLEASE eat as much as you want of whatever you want without worry and there's no chance of a BFP with that O pattern and BD anyway. I hope your little man is feeling better soon - nothing like mama's milk to cure tummy bugs.

Absolutely! If all he can handle is boob milk, I would eat just to make sure that my supply could handle his demands. You don't have to eat a ton of extra food for him. Just enough so that you're not drained. I hope your son(and you!) feels better soon, Hun! xoxo And and with an 8 day cut-off...not likely:) I'd say you're safe!

You know, I always found breastfeeding to be the most handy when my little ones got to the age where they started mingling more with other children (about 1) because without the boob I have no idea how I would have dealt with those illnesses!! DS1 was poorly all the time after he started nursery and he passed it on to DH and I every time. Thankfully DS2 and DS3 are (touch wood) more robust!
