Hi and welcome!! If you need a plan to TTC a boy at the top of the page is a button marked "membership and plans" that will take you where all the info is.

A nice resource for exercise is Youtube. They have free exercise videos on there and some are very good for blue swayers. I suggest Popsugar fitness and Blogilates/pop Pilates videos. They both have a lot of options for beginners using only your own body weight to build muscle, no equipment required. :)

Yay I love it!! It seems like their are not too many people ttc boys. I have 4 girls and will be trying next month. So nervous yet excited! This has been a dream of mine for so long and hubbys too. I've been on the He diet since the end of May, but fell off for two weeks, because I thought I was pg in June, I was so wrong. Going to keep going this time until I get my BFP. Also started one a day women in June, fish oil, and Folic acid. And hubby is taking a few things as well. And doing Green berrie banana smoothie with whole milk and protein powder. But anyways welcome I'm sure everyone will make you feel very welcomed!! And FYI Atomic is the best! She is more then helpful. And gives you some kind of peace of mind with all the stress that comes with swaying. Good luck! Oh and Youtube is a go to for working out I've been using it for years.

We haven't decided whether or not we will try again sometime in the next year or two... but if we do go for another baby, how much exercise is ideal for me when swaying blue? When I work out, I work out too hard and too long, so I need to trim it back.

I'm swaying blue! Working out is difficult as I am working full time from home and then there is my gorgeous daughter of 6 months who needs my attention, is crawling like crazy, holding herself on the couch and tables to stand (!!) which she has mastered already and jumps. Is this btw normal?? She is just 6 months. Ok back to my future baby boy (lol). I work out 4/5 days a week (max 45 minutes)
Doing a either take bo, popsugar fitness or just 20 minutes weights (focussing on one part of my body). I am not the thinnest... The eating part is difficult but it can be too much as I am on the heavy side.

Haha! My dd1 was like that at 6 months [emoji23][emoji23]! She was walking by 9 months and like running by 10 months! And at four years old she is still super advanced and super intense!! Dd2 didn't even try to walk until she was 14 months. It's crazy how different siblings can be!!

Did anyone have weird cold/flu symptoms that lasted half a day or a day max before any positive pregnancy tests boy or girl? I am trying to not symptom spot... But Sunday was a weird day for me and was I believe 4-5 DPO... I woke up sore all over and just felt 'slow' wasn't until later when I started feeling flushed and hot that I realized oh I may be getting a fever I must have had body aches... Well I didn't have a fever my temp was just higher than normal and the body aches made it feel worse than it was... Temp was 99.8-99.9..."heat" broke after a short nap and I felt 100% better that night though I would have sworn at the peak of it I was getting a cold or flu... Now almost Wednesday and still feel perfect. What on earth?

So your temp went back down? Temp raising and staying high after ovulation is a sign of pregnancy.

No temp is still higher than my base line but the body aches and feeling 'flushed' or 'feverish' are gone..

swaying boy and in my 2ww...like i said trying not to symptom spot its just hard. and it was a very weird experience for me...all 3 of my other pregnancies i can say i never experienced that. I had hot flashes with my first born but thats about it and maybe what i had was hot flashes but the body aches are what really threw me off...when i think of fatigue i think excessively sleepy but i wasnt sleep i was just really weak and slow and sore..

Good luck to everyone trying this month. I have just got my 1st PP AF after having my 2nd DD 20 weeks ago (I finished BF 3 1/2 weeks ago) I would love another little boy to add to our family and will probably start TTC again late 2017. I am going to start increasing my protein meals now and start lifting my kettle bells again 20 mins*3 times a week at the moment but I will be holding out on the snacks until the run up to my attempt as they really increased my weight the last time.
Looking forward to cheering you all on for the next year

I took wheatgrass tablets 1st thing every morning for my last boy sway. I had forgotten about them until I read over my sway plan from atomic that I dug out this morning. So I guess I will be using them again this time too.
I would suggest you try the powdered stuff before buying a big tub as I could not stomach it and it kept repeating on me. Tablets all the way for me. I used these ones https://www.wheatgrass.ie/products/wheatgrass-tm-tablets-1400
All the pill popping is not something I am looking forward to.

Was this your regular training with the boy sway?

My full exercise when I was TTC was walking the dog 45mins almost everyday. On top of that I did 2 kettle bell classes that were 50 mins long incl warm up and cool down and 1 swim training group session for 40 mins. I am just back from my daughters swim class and I was thinking I might join the adult swim group again in September. I just do kettle bells with a DVD now as a little while after my son was born the classes stopped. There is another class in my area but the timing doesn't suit me.

Weirdest 2WW of my life. Only symptoms were the "cold" I thought I caught last Sunday that lasted half a day and the random burst of energy I got at some other point which was totally out of character for me. I tested with an FRER this Am and saw the LIGHTEST line thinking I was crazy I went to the boards... When others said they saw it too I ran out to buy a digital and there we are.. I am so thankful and so shocked right now. The blue diet can really do wonders... First egg after breastfeeding for 8.5 months...I thought for sure I was broken and was never gonna conceive without clomid again...I have been so weepy the last few days over fertility... Now that I mention it I guess maybe that was a sign lol I am SO emotional.

Love to you all and good luck :)

Can't believe it is almost August, already!
The plan is to attempt in August - October, we will wait until next year if this time frame doesn't work out because of the other kids birthdays and holidays. We can't afford another birthday in December, haha- Our birthday are... DH & I July babies, DD1 is 21 Aug, DD3 01 Oct, DD2s is 14 Dec, Our anniversary 19th Dec, then Christmas, and the DSs 22 Jan. So... haha, we have to spread this out.

However, The move messed us up a bit and sleep pattern still sucks! This makes me soo nervous because it's effected some other things, like my workouts. However, we bought a weight bench a few weeks ago that I've been using pretty regularly. Another good thing is my husband has started lifting again (not getting his tackle & bits too hot), he's actually gained quite a bit of muscle in the last few weeks.

Still trying to wean my littlest one, but I don't think it will happen before our window. at least we have limited feedings and I eat protein and carb each feeding. praying that helps!

Diet is going pretty well! Taking supps regularly. DTD WAY more than we used to... these make me feel pretty great. I am preparing to start a few projects around house. lots of praying.

That means that the exercise is working. You tear your muscles a little bit and then they grow back stronger.

It won't be forever. After a few weeks on a new regimen you'll stop feeling so sore. A good warm up/cool down routine helps too!

What she said!! Rule of thumb, you are the most sore on the 2nd day after starting new workout. If you start and stop workouts you will get that soreness again.

Try adding only a squirt of lemon. Over the course of the day you'll end up using about the juice of a whole one, but you don't have to drink it all in one go. :)

bre_cooper11
August 2nd, 2016, 11:57 AM
Personally, I prefer real lemons :). I also add lemons too my green tea, as well... it helps if your tired of just lemon water. Also, I like lemon in boiled/warm water then add ice to it.

Pearl327
August 3rd, 2016, 07:41 AM
I make iced lemon green tea. So double whammy of green tea and lemon.
Add 4 or 5 green tea bags to 1litre boiling water and leave to brew. When cooled a bit add juice on 1 lemon, mint leaves and a spoon of honey. You can add a sliced lemon to it too if you are feeling extra lemony 🍋

Actually you should probably leave out the mint if you are getting close to TTC. That is just how I have been making it this summer. But mint is actually on the girl diet for lowering hormones and nutrients. Sorry, I wasn't thinking 😳

I like you guys to get a blend of them. :agree:

They help you both absorb nutrients from the foods you eat by predigesting some of them to make it easier for your body to complete the job, and also they actually MAKE nutrients themselves that our bodies then are able to use. :)

For blue swayers worried about weight gain they may also help a lot with limiting the amount of weight you gain as well.

I've been lifting a long time -- you'll notice your muscles being "bigger" for awhile from water retention as they heal and adapt to the new routine. This will get better after several weeks, and then you can hope to gradually get more definition. It takes a lot to gain muscle, so the definition you'll see is actually you losing body fat!

I lifted 4x a week when I got my girl, but I also did tons of cardio. Now I'm doing 4x a week with only occasional walks.

Does that sound ok atomic, or still too much?

I like the Popsugar fitness and also Blogilates on Youtube. They have beginner ones and I'd just rotate between them and you will soon find ones you prefer over the others. :agree:

You'll see results in 6 weeks if not sooner.

Anyways, CD1 was 30 July and today is CD15 and I got my first flashing smiley face and almost pos cheapies!! :) :) :) We were going to post pone this month if O was too late, but, it's a go! Also, super nervous, too!

Woohoo! GL Bre, and I'm dropping off more of my blue baby dust for you [emoji597][emoji92][emoji170][emoji843][emoji170][emoji94]!!!

I'm getting back into pretty heavy, but starting out right now benching 55 lbs, squatting 85 lbs, lunging with 70 lbs, and deadlifting 95 lbs, inching up 5 lbs a week since the 6 weeks postpartum really drained my strength (or maybe the 22 hour labor with minimal food did that...)

I generally feel more energy overall lifting, and seem to only feel tired if I'm not eating enough.

wantinfo9- What are you doing to lift?? Videos with weights? To me it depends.

My hand weights are 3lbs each, my dumbells are 5 each (I use for work out videos and cardio kickboxing).

For lifting 50lbs bench press and squats. In the last few months I didn't do as many workout videos as I had been because of the move. We have a martial arts BOB dummy and I put on my hand weights and kick the crap out of it, this would get my heart rate up, do sprints, and then I'd bench press. I have been unpacking moving stuff like a mad women, so, I'd say that counts. I have also been pulling my kids and the neighborhood kids around their wagon, up and down this hill we have. I also played more sports with kids. -This was more my life style when I conceived my son, as I was in the Army at the time and exercise was different all the time. And I usually feel energized after I work out- sore and tired at first.

We will see what happens, but I lifted or did push ups right before our attempts... who knows if it will help. We will have to wait and see :)

Anyways, in my opinion, I think you need to do what you are comfortable with. You do not want to risk injury either.

Popping in to say hello and goodluck to everyone:) Its nice to see more active blue swayers on the board, we seem to be outnumbered or slightly shyer than the pink swayers. I have started another chat thread in this section so hopefully we can encourage some more blueys out into the open lol:bigsmile:

Oh and I see I missed a question.

I have never lifted heavy weights. I have only ever used between 1-5 lbs, every time I try to go heavier than that I don't really enjoy it so much any more and get burned out almost right away. You don't have to do heavy weights to TTC a boy. Even just body weight exercises or using cans of soup or water bottles will work.

Oh good then I can just stick with my 10 and 15 pounds, I was going to ask if it was necessary to have to go more.

FWIW, I did my 60min of cardio along with either yoga or 25-35 min of a workout DVD that used body weight exercises (T25 or P90X3), and I got my DS3. I did do a fertility version of the LE diet that included chicken, whole grains, and I cut out processed sugar. He's all boy!

There is something to eating meats, whole grains, and any form of weight lifting. I do think my DH and I are set higher for boys with our personality types. This time around, we both don't eat much meat and my DH hasn't been exercising for a while. Hopefully with my changes I've made, we will get pink!

Dropping off more of my blue baby dust for all of you lovely ladies!! Let me know if I can help with anything!

Thank you! Based on my personality type and weight lifting, I'm wondering if meat might be a big key for me in addition to more frequent eating. I had such low protein intake and never ate red meat -- hadn't eaten it in over a decade!

Hi I am desperate for a boy what can I do

If you ask me specific questions I'm happy to answer them. I can't really answer very vague q's like this becasue I'd have to write an essay every time. In my signature below, there is a link to the Complete Index which has all our essays in alphabetical order by subject. :)
