Any advice anyone. Second month trying and second month failing. Timing of attempt seems to have been spot on both months. Though lp of 9 days both months? Is it even possible to get pregnant with 9 day lp? Atomic I took your advice last month and added 4-6 eggs, a portion of red meat and daily portion of dairy. Will discuss with gpbut know he will say that it is impossible to pin point ovulation so we cannot know for sure I have a short lp. Feeling really down in the dumps! Thanks in advance

Please take heart! I know it's hard when we got pregnant so easily with our boys!
I got pregnant with my DS1 with super short cycles and super short LPs. My average cycle length back then was 21-24 days with an average LP of 8-10 days. I conceived him our very first time trying.
A 9 day LP is adequate enough to get pregnant. I'm wondering if you may be missing ovulation. Are you temping? If so, maybe try temping vaginally since it is a bit more accurate. Are you using opks? If so, what CDs do you get your positives on?
Hang in there sweetie!

Thanks xxforhubby, I feel so miserable and timing is awful as am going for lunch with two pregnant people today. My husband wants me to stop swaying, he says we have three healthy babies a girl and a 2 boys conceived no problem first attempt.
I could be missing ovulation but am temping, using the cbfm, clear blue digital ovulation stick and cervical mucus and doing e4d's, I wonder if am maybe not ovulating? My body is gearing up for it but no egg? Thanks for all your help it just hurts at the moment. But I will dust myself off and get back on the plan, just not today, today am sad! X

I have a short LP to but did not realise even though my cycle is between 21-23. I was testing for ovulation starting CD10 and never got even a hint that it was going to go positive, it stayed completely white. Well one month I started testing on CD7 and i couldn't believe there was a 2nd faint line and on CD9 I got a blazing positive and by CD10 surge was no longer picked up. So basically I was missing it, I was temping but very new to it. My temps and test say I ovulate between 9-11.
Try not to worry, my cycles have always been the same and I've been pregnant three times(not trying or swaying) so I don't pay no mind to it. You will get pregnant, keep temping and swaying and put the thought of a short L phase to the back of your mind, it cant be controlled without medication so its stress you don't need. Good luck lovely

To temp vaginally, you insert your bbt thermometer into your vagina and record your temp. I wait to temp until all of the bleeding from AF stops. You can buy thermometer covers if your thermometer isn't waterproof. Mine is, but I have too high of temps during AF so I wait until the end.

Design sorry you are going through similar. I don't think having a short number of days between period and when you ovulate matter as much having a short lp, time between o and af. I think it can take up to 10 days for implantation and if my af starts after 8 or 9 days it is possible that the lining will have been shed before the blastocyst can implant?
But we are similar in struggling to conceive after conceiving relatively easily. It is so frustrating, I have felt very down today and it has been hard to stick with monitoring fat/ protein and calories and exercising while feeling like this. Hope August is lucky for us both! X

How do you know if it is water proof? Am assuming mine is because I use it in my mouth, which would be a wet as a vagina? I wonder if am missing o as well xxforhubby? But am not sure other than changing how I check temperature would help to pin point this? Am also doing e4 d's so thought I was kind of covering all bases. I will try and add my chart in the hope someone might have an idea. My periods have been very light of late, which concerns me. Af started at 2 am last night and I have had one change of pad since that time. Am wondering if my lining is too thin to allow implantation? thanks for all the helpful advice x

Thanks, I am picking up on surge, am using the cb fertility monitor as well as cb digital ovulation stick and charting my temp. I am also doing e4 days so think I was well covered. Past two months, I have had no peak on the cbfm, just endless highs but I bd when I got a positive on the cb digital and this agreed with temps and ewcm, so I think my timing was good. Good to hear you got pregnant successful with short lp!

I hear you, because of me getting pg very fast with all my girls I had just assumed it would happen fast this time also, oh boy what a fool I was!! I was telling everyone on here and baby center what symptoms I was having, and even told my hubby I was 95% sure I was pg, and then AF showed up and I was crushed! But now I see it as a blessing, because I had only found gender dreaming like a week before my attempt, so I knew nothing about the he diet or adding supplements. But I am more then hoping/ praying in August I get my bfp. Right now I just look at it as maybe my little boy was not ready for that race yet. Im not sure what you are trying for It looks like girl maybe? But maybe your little one was not ready for that race yet either. Either way there is a reason for everything, and Im sure our time will come! I'm just so over this He diet thing, making sure I eat 3 times a day and snack in between is so stressful and expensive!! I know I've drove my hubby half crazy too. I hope everything works out for you! Maybe we could keep up with each other on here it would be so nice having someone to talk to on here, no one knows we are ttc except the hubby of course, lol

Ah just found it.
Yes, it's possible to get pregnant with 9 day LP and it will also fix itself over time- remember, whenever you conceive, you would have no way of knowing what your LP would have been that month anyway.
2 months is nothing. Please do not despair over taking 2 months to conceive.
If you give me a brief rundown of what you're doing I'll tell you what to tweak.
you sometimes will have better results with a doctor if you take a chart in to them.

It takes fully fertile couples doing nothing to sway an average of 3-6 months to get pregnant. For those of us for whom it's happened quicker than that, it's because we were lucky, not because we are doing anything wrong now. 2 months is nothing.

If you're getting AF and your cycle is fairly regular then you're ovulating. You don't get AF if you didn't ovulate 99 out of 100 times.

Lighter AF is something we see a lot with pink sways and it is a good sign that diet is working for you. We get pregnant all the time with AF like that (and again, just like with LP, your flow one month tells nothing about what happens to your lining in the NEXT!!) We also notice that our periods come at really oddball times of day.
When I got my daughter I had like 1 day of flow and then 2 of really faint spotting (one before and one after) and my period started coming at like 5pm instead of first thing in the morning (which it has stayed there ever since!!!)

You are so good atomic, thanks for replying. I have taken heart from what you said about me ovulating and possibly of pregnancy with a short lp. Should I keep adding the 4-6 eggs, weekly portion of red meat and daily portion of diary? My lp was not any longer with adding it, though maybe it takes longer to have an impact?
My sway is le diet, keeping calories under 1800, protein under 50g, and fat under 60gs. Trying to limit red meat to once a week. I have given up tea and have just added coffee today ( I hate the stuff), cardio 6 days per week for 60 mins, combination of 3 x 6 mile runs, one walking brisk pace and 2 x 1 hour cardio per week. Only taking folic acid.
RE attempts, I am abstaining from bd until attempt, dh is sorting himself out or with my assistance. Using cb fertility monitor, cb digital sticks and charting temperature to pin point o. Just started temping vaginally hoping that is more accurate. Bd at first positive OPK ( cb monitor has not identified a peak the past two months just endless highs) after first attempt I move to every four days. I drink diet coke and alcohol one glass at night after kids go bed. I have a thyriod problem was underactive but since losing 7 stone am now over active. Still breast feeding a two year old but he only has one feed before bed! Cannot think of anything else. Really really appreciate your help

yes, keep doing that. It's not a magic quick fix, it takes time for your body to work.
How often is DH sorting himself out otherwise??
I'd have you go to every 4 days from now on in.
Doing anything like shallow release, hot bath for DH, tighty whitey?? Immediate J and D???

I sort of leave that end of things up to him, as long as he has released before our attempt, as he is over 35, not using j and dump, hot bath or tight under wear, he has started in the run up to or July attempt started taking olive leaf extract, should he stop that? Using missionary position, not much came out the last time and I did not go to the bathroom after bding, went to sleep! Thanks again for your help I really appreciate it! X

Ok just making sure because I have had several people lately who were not getting pregnant and then I was trying everything only to find out they were doing shallow release or immediate J and D the entire time.
