I know I've read a thread like this before but I don't know how current it was and I can't find it again. I thought it would be fun to start a new one! I don't particularly love meat, so I'm trying lots of different dinner ideas all the time. We did this one tonight with roasted carrots, broccoli, and zuchinni on the side and it was pretty tasty(I love Hawaiian sweet rolls, and I found a whole wheat version)! There's also a chicken Parmesan slider recipe on the same pin that I want to try next! Yum! Anyone else have delicious "blue" recipes to share!?

Yeah! I thought it would be fun to exchange ideas, I tend to do the same things for a couple weeks cause it's easy, cost efficient, and helps me stick to it. But then of course I get sick of the same stuff after so long!!

This has been a favorite snack go to for me! Although I just use whatever fruit I have on hand which is usually not bananas(I'm not much of a fan)http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160717/7dc511fe109ce9204085ab613086e7c5.pnghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160717/8ec831a39f67f430f53d0358999e6d1d.png

One of my favorite recipes lately has been sweet potato tacos, usually with grilled halibut since we have a freezer full of fresh caught fish.
Whole grain tortilla
Cut up sweet potato(I boil the chunks in water to soften and sauté on the stove top with olive oil)
Halibut or chicken with taco seasoning
I usually add sautéed zuchinni or spinach
Avocado, cheese and sour cream for topping! Yum!

Hi AMS, I am going to try that nut butter bowl. It sounds delish. I posted a few boy friendly veggie recipies in the dream member section.
I really recommend you try Atomics peanut butter oatmeal. It is really yum and I have eaten it regularly since my 1st boy sway. It is a great high protein start to the day.
A regular after work dinner I would have was an egg burrito. 2 eggs scrambled with milk. Then put into a wrap with grated cheese, salsa, and sliced avocado. I also made a lot of tostadas with refried beans, cheese, Greek yogurt, avocado, and lots of veggies
A high protein lentil or bean soup is great as a snack when you 1st get in from work if it's going to be a little while before dinner is ready. I would usually make a batch of soup on Sunday night. I have a few recipes if you are interested. I would often have one of these soups for lunch with a wholemeal roll, and either egg or cheese.
A whole milk hot cocoa is a great bedtime snack.

I would think your normal favourite peanut butter would be fine. I use meridian brand which is just blended nuts, no other ingredients.
I will dig out some recipies later.

Here are some of the soups I eat regularly
Carrot, cashew and coriander
2 onions
3 cloves garlic
10 large carrots
2T oil
1t paprika
Juice 1 1/2 limes
200g unsalted raw cashews
2litres stock
A bunch fresh coriander
Peel & chop onion, garlic and carrot and sauté with oil in a large pan with lid for 15 mins. Give it the odd stir. Add everything else except coriander leaves ( add stems) bring to boil, then cover and simmer for 20 mins. Remove from heat and add coriander leaves and blend. If it is too thick add more water.
Lightly spiced lentil soup
1T oil
1 red onion
1 red chilli
1 clove garlic
Thumb sized piece of ginger
200g dried red lentils
1t each of ground coriander, paprika & cumin
1 tin coconut milk
1 stock ****
Juice of lime
Heat oil & soften onion for a few mins add chopped chilli, garlic and ginger and cook for a few more mins. Add lentils, spices, coconut milk, stock **** and 750mls water. Simmer for 40 mins add lime & season.
Serves 4 with 11g protein & approx 230cals
I like to add a big spoon of Greek yogurt to my soups which adds 3-5g of protein or some grated cheese

:agree: Cashews are an overlooked food that are good in lots of different types of sauces and cuisines, both savory and sweet :agree: I ate tons of them when I got my last two boys.

What are some good cereal brands? I'm not a huge fan of granola. When I do eat cereal it's Cheerios and/or frosted mini wheats. Are these horrible choices for blue?

Do spices sway at all? I'm hoping curry, cayenne, chili powder etc don't sway pink 'cause I'm a heat fiend!

I make it! It's literally only dates, peanut butter and oats/nuts or whatever else you want!
